Heartbroken

O Krsna!

I know I'm a fallen soul,

So conditioned,

So sinful,

I'm surrounded by mucus and stool.

But still I desired to see You,

And be immersed in the holy chant!

Still I desired to see the place,

Where in ecstasy Your devotees dance.

But no,

The year of wait now feels like decades,

The distance so small,

Feels as apart as two states.

And I'm still waiting,

Heartbroken maybe.

Why don't You see?

How mad I've started to become!

Why don't You let me come?

I know You're in everyone's hearts,

You could've turned the story around.

But instead,

Here I'm writing this sad song.

I know You must be laughing and teasing,

But still probably You must be smiling,

By seeing my stupid writing.

Its okay though;

I have waited for eternity,

For few days, years or decades,

I'll wait,

Even though heartbroken:

I'll continue to worship You,

Even if I've to wait,

For few more lifetimes.
