Taking The Apartment

All through that night, Layla couldn't find any sleep. She kept tossing and turning as her father's words kept coming back to her.

If she refuses to take the apartment, he is going to hurt Jason. Every time she thinks about it, her heart skips.

If there is one thing she has come to learn about her father, it's that he doesn't say things that he has no intention of carrying out. Her father always says what he means.

So if he says that he is going to hurt Jason, if she doesn't take his offer, then she was certain that he would.

She would hate for anything to happen to Jason because of her. She would hate for anything to happen to him at all.

Layla got up from the bed and went to the kitchen to get herself water to drink. She needs to take the apartment, even if she doesn't want to.
