Sacred Land

One hour had passed, and Elder Zhang flew with six other disciples following him.

They arrived near a large, frozen tree and descended from the sky.

On the tree, the luxuriously dressed young man was sitting, cultivating.

"You're the last one," Elder Zhang said, lifting the boy without him saying anything.

"Hey, I was cultivating, what if I had issues with my cultivation?" he said, irritated with the elder.

"Hmm?" The elder asked with a serious face.

The boy instantly fell silent, feeling the pressure that the elder exuded.

"I don't know; we'll find out later. For now, let's get out of here."

The elder and the seven disciples flew at high speed towards the exit.

As soon as he exited the frozen abyss, he saw Elder Xu standing in the air.

"Yes, everyone is here. How is the inner area? Did you find anything?" Elder Zhang asked after letting the disciples down.

"No, I have no idea what that sound is. It sounds like a heartbeat, but I don't believe that there's a being whose heartbeat alone causes this terrible sensation."

"The sound is spreading more and more. When I was flying here, the entire outer area could now hear the beats."

"Besides, we have more important things to worry about," Elder Xu said with a not-so-good expression.

"What?"

"The beasts are agitated by the sound and are leaving their habitats, running out of the inner area," Elder Xu said worriedly.
