Shedding Season
Eating the enjoyable meal and chatting with Duncan about cooking, food culture and our hobbies, I finally felt closer to Duncan this time. Same as humans, kangaroo beasts don't eat raw meat in general, so to an extent, kangaroos might cook meat more often than thylacines, which explains why Duncan is more familiar than Kruger with using fire.
I really ate so much tonight that when I was lying in the bed, my stomach didn't feel good and I couldn't fall asleep as usual. To help myself digest food more quickly and then go to sleep without delay, I decided to take a walk around my hut.
...
"Kruger? What are you doing here?"
"...Nothing!"
Exceptionally, I found Kruger still awake in my front yard late at night. He was squatting near the bonfire and had his back to me, looking like he was burning something without anyone knowing.
