Chapter 18

The boys arrived at their school, luckily they were all in the same class and they had Miss Manry as their homeroom teacher, the boys were very happy when they came to knew that because during their 2nd year of highschool, their homeroom teacher was Mr. Mason, that old grumbling man would always punish them. Thinking about it gave them gossebumps. Miss Manry was like an angel to them.

The three of them entered their class, and they saw Lacy sitting with her friends, Rome and Tony's face fell, they hoped Lacy wouldn't be with them unfortunately the fate was not on their side. Ray however was very happy to have Lacy in his class.

Rome went on the last bench to sit, Tony followed him but then he bumped into someone, the person he bumped into was now on the ground, it was petite boy just like Rome, Tony held out his hand,"Are you okay?" Tony wanted to have a clear look at him but The boy mumbled an apology, got up and ran away, Tony was startled, he turned to look at the direction where the boy ran but the boy had already gotten mixed with the other students. Tony sighed and then went towards Rome who was watching everything that happened.

Tony sat down besides Rome who asked,"Is it me or that was weird?" Tony shrugged,"I know right, the guy just ran away, weird."

Rome and Tony let the matter go, it was not something that required much thinking about anyway.

The day went by as usual, the teachers came, introduced their subjects, told them what they have do in this year, etc. The normal stuff that happens every year.

It was break time now, the class was almost empty, only a few students were in the class, Rome didn't feel like leaving the class so he asked Ray and Tony to get him some bun and milk.

Rome was sitting in the class, waiting for his friends, he placed his arm on the table then rested his head on it. There was knock on his desk and he thought it was his friends, he sat up straight,"You took so lo-------Lacy what do you want?" The knock was not done by Ray or tony but it was Lacy.

Lacy smiled maniacally,"Hello Rome."

Rome felt a bad vibe coming from Her, after a second his eyes laid on the two girls behind Lacy, Rome tried to hide his fear and asked,"Why are you here?"

Lacy didn't answer him and looked at the girls behind her,"Christine, Candice get him."

Before Rome could say something, the girls Christine and Candice grabbed him by his arm and started to drag him away, Lacy chuckled,"Rome what are you scared of? We are just going to get something to eat."

Christine and Candice dragged him to a abandoned storage room, the room was dark, there was benches, desk scatterred around, Candice pushed Rome and he stumbled upon a chair, he fell down, he felt a pain on his back, Lacy locked the door and said,"Here no one will come. Now time for introduction Rome."

Rome gritted his teeth, partly due to anger and mostly due to pain,"They are Candice and Christine, they are martial arts student, they are my friends, and since you are my boy friend's bestfriend, I asked them to play with you."

Rome asked,"Whya re you doing this to me? I didnt do anything to you." Rome suddenly felt a stinging pain on his cheeks because Christine slapped him hard. Lacy smiled,"Why am I doing this? Because you are stealing my boyfriend. Ray is only mine. But he is giving his attention to you. He should only look at me."

Rome said,"Ray is only my bestfriend." Rome felt another sharp pain on his other cheek. This time Candice slapped him.

Lacy bent down,"Oh don't try to fool me. I know you are trying to seduce him. Now girls, play with him more and Rome after this you try and seduce my boyfriend you are going to pay."

Lacy started walking towards the door, then suddenly she turned around,"Also if you tell them it was me, remember you will have to pay the price."

Lacy walked out of the room. As soon as she was away, Rome faced hell, there were slaps, kicks, punches, he couldn't even fight them back because they tied his hands and legs. He could only cry because when he tried shouting the beatings got more harsh.

The bell rang and Rome came to realisation that the break was over, Candice quickly untied him and started walk away, Christine warned before going,"Don't tell anyone about this."

The door to the storeroom was once again shut.

Rome had no energy in his body to move, he laid on the cold floor, staring at the ceiling, the tears started flowing, the slow silent cry eventually turned into sobbing, Rome asked himself again and again,"What the hell did I do wrong? Why me?"

Then once again the door to the storeroom opened, fear crawled onto Rome who thought that the girls have came back again. He closed his eyes, waiting for the beatings to come.

After the break was over, Drake wanted to skip the class so he decided to go the storage room he discovered earlier. He entered the room to find one of his previous classmates on the floor, covered in bruises.

Drake ran towards his classmate who was like a brother to him,"Rome are you okay? "

Rome opened his eyes when he heard the familiar voice,"Drake?"

Drake asked,"What the hell happened here? Who did this to you?"

Rome didn't answer Drake and just said what he wanted to say the most,"It hurts."

Drake was panicking, he tried to calm down and after a few seconds of thinking he lifted Rome in his arms and started running towards the nurse's office.

Rome tried to smile but couldn't, he was in too much pain to smile, he said,"Thanks Drake. It was very cold in there."

Drake sighed,"No need to thank me, Just rest, I don't want you to faint on me."

Rome said,"I won't faint, I am not that badly hurt."

Drake quickened his pace, he scoffed,"Yeah I can see that. You are trembling Rome."

Rome didn't say anything and just closed his eyes, he was tired, very tired, he needed rest desperately.
