Lan's eyes struggled to open he felt immense pain all over his body. His eyesight began to recover and he slowly sat up in order to look around. He found that he was in a simple bed with numerous bandages covering his torso. He couldn't remember anything after he got hit by the Crobat.

He saw that his Cyndiquill was curled up laying by his side and softly petted him. The pokemon woke up and cried out happily. Immediately Lan could hear two sets of footsteps making their way toward his room.

Eventually, the door was opened by a petite girl with blue hair in an orange dress. She had short hair up in a hairband and had a slender build with brown eyes and a pleasant smile on her face. Lan thought that he recognized her from somewhere.

Behind her was an older woman who seemed to be her Grandma who was smiling kindly at Lan.

The Girl cheerfully chirped "Hey how are you doing? My name is Levy McGarden and this is my Grandma. We found you passed out on the shore a couple of days back."

Lan was in shock ' Levy from the anime Fairytail? She looks so much like her. She is pretty cute but what is she doing in the Pokemon world?' He kept staring at her making the atmosphere awkward.

A cough from the older woman brought him out of his thoughts He then replied with his own awkward smile "Thank you so much for everything. Especially taking care of my Pokemon. My name is Lan Wilder. I just thought I recognized you from before."

Grandma spoke "Its no problem child the two of your Pokemon seem to be doing well. That Magicarp is special" eying Lan trying to size him up. "This little one here didn't want to leave your side."

Cyndiquill nodded its head and squeaked "Cynda Cynda" while nodding his head.

Lan just smiled at it and looked at Levy who had hearts in her eyes muttering "He's so cute!!"

Lan snickered and replied to "Levy why don't you take him to play outside for a bit while I talk to your Grandma."

Levy nodded but retorted " Don't think that you are older than me and can order me around just because I am short. I am 17 now."

Lan " I am 18"

She puffed her cheeks and stomped her foot and immediately took Cyndiquill to play outside.

Her Grandma just chuckled at the girl's antics and waited for the door to close.

When it was shut she spoke first " I know you must be curious about all this but this is all that I know. My Arcanine was running on the beach when she found you. I treated you and your pokemon's wounds since they were on your belt. I saw all of your scars and I don't know what you have got yourself mixed up in but be careful. This region is not as safe as it used to be. I didn't let Levy see your scars and wounds as she would ask you numerous questions. I don't want her to be caught in what you are" She iterated with a stern look exuding a pressure. Lan resisted it since compared to Oak it was nothing.

Lan bowed "Thank you soo much before I didn't think I was actually going to make it. 'My sister is going to kill me anyway when I get back' Sigh, I was trying to escape Cyndiquill's captors and got hurt in the process. May I know where we are?"

"We live on the outskirts of Fuchsia City and here is today's date so you don't have to ask." as she passed the newspaper to Lan

"Ughh, man I am so far from where I was and Alice is going to start her journey in like a little over week."

The old woman raised an eyebrow but didn't say anything.

Lan then slowly circulated his Aura in order to determine the extent of his wounds. He could tell he had many minor internal injuries and two large gashes on his back. They had started to heal but they were definitely going to leave some more scars on his body.

He then got up slowly from the bed under the sharp gaze of Levy's Grandma.

She said " In your condition, it should have taken at least 4-5 more days till you should be able to walk. Don't worry about me telling anyone your secret but remember Levy is a sharp girl and quite a book worm so she might catch on. Everyone has their secrets."

"Thank you again how can I repay you?"

The woman thought for a moment then exhaled "Well, there is something...I was wondering if you could take Levy outside on an adventure or something. You seem to have a good head and it looks like you have some experience. She has always stayed at home to take care of me but she has always longed to explore the world. I am moving to the Kalos region to meet up with some of my old Conrades. Arcanine can take care of me I just want you to help Levy out a little by giving her a little push/ advice for a while."

Lan thought for a while but ended up agreeing "Yeah I can help her but ultimately it is up to her. I will have to get back to Pallet Town to Professor Oak's Lab though."

"That's perfectly fine. You should rest now while I go and talk to her." Then Mrs. McGarden left Lan alone.

Lan immediately activated his system.

Lan quickly eyed the rest of his inventory and made his bag appear in hand. He finally knew what those stones were when he had bought them at the Market. He was al little happy with his purchase because these items are really expensive on the market and could be sold at a good price.

Lan immediately took the occupied Pokeballs out of his inventory and they appeared attaching to his belt filling up slots for Pokeballs next to Magicarps and Cyndiquill's.

Lan took a while looking through all the Pokemon and their information. They were certainly rare Pokemon but he didn't know why they were put in the hidden safe at the Auction House.

Well anyways. He didn't want these Pokemon on his team because he wanted to personally raise his team from the ground up. The young ones might be a good addition especially Eevee but he could also gift them out or release them depending on what the Pokemon wanted to do. He thought for a minute and decided to go outside.
