[Pallet Town Dock]

Lan"Ahhh we finally made it. It feels so nice to be back!"

Levy"The air is so clean here."

"Yeah, Pallet is just like this and thankfully Oak keeps it this way. I am thinking about buying a house here."

"Are you and THE Professor Oak really so close?" doubting Lan a little.

"Yeah, he is like my grandfather??? maybe cool uncle??? No, he has too much silver hair to be an uncle. But anyways he let Alice and I stay here when we were younger when our parents passed in an accident..."

"Ohhh, I am sorry I didn't realize"

"Nah it's fine its not something you could of known. I am fine, but my sister is always a little touchy on the subject"

Levy"I'll keep that in mind"

"Look we are here" as they reached the Lab

Without nocking Lan swung the lab door open and yelled " I'm Back!!"

He was greeted with silence and an Empty Lab and maybe some chirping of a Krikitune. Lan rubbed his head sheepishly and said to Levy "Come on they must be outback." So they headed out back to the field behind the Lab.

They heard sounds of battling and eventually coming from the yard and stumbled into an intense battle.

Alice " Go Dragonite Thunder Punch!"

Dragonite flew at high speed at Arcanine who opposed it and sent a punch of yellow electricity towards the Canine.

Arcanine then dodged with extreme speed and immediately countered with agility and a Fire Blast that made contact with Dragonite and didn't seem to do any damage.

Professor Oak "Alice good thinking but remember not to be caught up in the moment and always have a countermeasure in case your attack fails."

When Alice was listening to Professor Oak who was sitting on the sideline she saw Lan come onto the field.

"BROTHER!!! You were gone for so long! and you brought back a girl! WHEN IS THE WEDDING?"

"You know its not like that. STOP making Trouble and I would never miss your send-off." He then put his hand behind Levy and pushed her forward and announced "This is Levy McGarden, her family helped me out when I went on my trip. She is also starting her journey and wants to become an author."

Levy blushed at the contact while being put on the spot and cheerfully waved and said "Hi, hope we can be friends".

Alice shouted "SOOO CUTE!!! You are so adorable. Where did you get that outfit?" She asked rapid questions as she went and pulled Levy into a tight hug.

Lan"THAT is my sister Alice, she is going to start her journey next week and the man behind her is Professor Oak."

Oak walked up to her and shook her hand "Its a pleasure to meet another aspiring trainer"

Levy nodded and chirped "I read so many of your books and I have so many questions!! Also, can you sign some of them?"

Professor Oak smiled and nodded then looked at Lan indicating for them to talk so Lan. Taking the hint Lan cut in "Levy why don't you have Alice show you around the place I need to talk to the Professor about some things"

Alice "Yeah let Dragonite and I show you. This Lab is awesome and since you like books I will show you the library also. You can let out your Pokemon if you have any. If you don't the Professor can get you a starter."

Lan"Alice don't make promises for others!" She just turned around and stuck out her tongue getting a snicker from the others. While Lan just shook his head.

Levy nodded and smiled "Come on out Girls!"

Eevee!! Tangala!!! Ponyta!!

Alice cooed "Ahh they are so cute!!"

Eevee jumped onto Levy's shoulder and rubbed her head against Levy wanting to get petted while the others ran around their group exploring the surroundings.

Lan and Oak headed to the Library while Alice preceded to give Levy a full tour of the Lab.

[Professor Oaks office]

Oak closed the door and looked at Lan questioningly and demanded "What happened?"

Lan sighed and tossed his bag to the side and slumped into a chair. He preceded to tell him about how he looked for a new Motorcycle, met the Fisherman at the docks, bought a special Magicarp, Roamed the Black Market to listen for information, Bought stones from the Old Lady.

The way that Lan talked about buying the stones seemed to irritate Oak as he seemed to be thinking about something. Lan then narrated how he evaluated the Pokemon's health in the Auction House(leaving out the system), finding Cyndiquill and being isolated to conduct the purchase.

Lan then sucked in a deep breath and carefully explained Team Rocket's Raid of the Auction House and their purpose. He left out most of his stealing and such and said that he found some grunts stealing some EGGS and Pokeballs. He then caught them off guard and knocked them out. This then drew the attention of the Leader and narrowly escaped with his life from the Crobat. That he passed out and somehow ended up on the outskirts of Fuschia City where Levy and her Grandma took care of him.

Oak concentrated on what Lan was recounting to him. Only when he finished he sighed and said " I didn't know that Team Rocket had become this brazen and it seems to suggest that they are expanding rapidly. Young trainers and parts of the Leauge might not be as safe as they were a few years back."

Lan "Yeah I think I will have to keep an eye on Team Rocket as I don't like the direction they are headed and before I forget here are the eggs that I apprehended." Lan then preceded to pull four different colored eggs out of his backpack.

The Professor quickly got out a large incubator and stared at Lan's Backpack with intrigue. "That bag can store eggs? Generally, modern space bags won't be able to store live objects."

Lan sweated at the question because this was part of his secret due to his bag being linked to his inventory. "Yeah well, Haha, I didn't really figure this out until a little while ago. This was my dad's personal bag so I think it may be an artifact from some ruin or something??"

Lan just tried to play it off and Luckily Professor Oak chose not to pursue the matter much to Lan's glee.

"So Lan what are you going to do once your sister leaves on her Journey?"

"To tell you the truth I want to scout the various black markets for information on poachers and such so I will be putting a team together and travel and explore sights in Kanto."

Oak "Are you going to participate in the league?"

Lan "I mean can professors technically do that? I mean I would just do that for the discounts it gives me on things and the free lodging."

Oak " I don't see why not but I would not place the registration under your name. You might want a pseudonym or something. I can hide your personal information if need be and restrict access to only me and Goodshow know"

"That will be good if I do participate but I will let you know after I start the Journey. Right now I just need to train my Pokemon and give them a strong foundation."

"What name do you want then. I will just use the same picture as your current one but just change the name and such."

"Ahh, I really don't care just don't make it a color like your other students. By the way where is Z?"

Oak "Oh, by the way, I have been meaning to tell you Charizard took Zerazora to a place to train. I don't know why; Charizard is the most prideful Pokemon I have and it seems to take a liking to him. I will let you know when they return so that I can transfer him to you. Charizard indicated that it should be about a couple of months though."

Lan was stunned at the development he was hoping to mess around with Z and enjoy the journey with him. " You just said that so casually. It's just like I lost my ace up my sleeve." Lan slumped down even more and whined "I guess this is what he wanted and I can't get in the way of that. What about Noibat?"

"Alakazam said the same thing it will be a while before he has mastered all the things it had wanted to teach it. He said in compensation he will teach it Teleport for you."

"Is Noibat that gifted with psychic energy? Because generally, not many psychic types can use teleportation"

"Yes, he said that he was very gifted and that if he doesn't work on controlling his power it would hinder his progress in other departments and might even become dangerous"

Lan sighed "Da** Oak do you know you just ruined my potential team? Aggggh, alright I guess it's for the best. If they can get stronger and learn from your Champions than it is fine. It is just I am have to come up with a new list of potential targets for my team" then grabbed the wooden pendant necklace he always wore and popped open and out rolled a miniature black Pokeball. It had Yellow lighting bolts around the blacktop of the ball while the bottom half was the standard silver. He then took the minimized normal Pokeball at his waist and gave it to the Professor.

"What an unusual Pokeball" Oak said while examining it.

"It was the first Pokeball that I have ever received. It was part of my dad's inheritance apparently it is called a Bolt ball and it only works on Pure Lightning type Pokemon. My sister has one that she hasn't used yet that is meant for Dragon Pokemon because that is what type her Mom used the most" reminisced Lan.

"That is amazing I have never heard of this do you mind if I study it for a while?"

"Sure I couldn't find anything about it from all my research and resources but you have the equipment for that"

"Okay so now on to the topic. What are we going to do with these eggs?

The two of them looked at the eggs that were now resting in the incubator.

One of them was a sky blue egg with white clouds on it, the second one was an all burnt Orange, the third was an extremely light blue egg that was about half the size of the first one. The last one was an extremely small pink egg.

Lan "I say we give one each to the girls to take care of."

Oak"I will ask Daisy but I don't think she will accept it because she will be leaving for school soon."

"Then why don't you keep it here and we give one to Mrs. Ketchum to take care of because Ash is going to start his Journey and she is going to be lonely. It would also count as a gift for taking care of Alice and Daisy"

"That sounds like a great Idea I say we choose the red-brown one. I am pretty sure that this might be a Vulpix egg, but when I look at the others, I do not know exactly as I have not seen those other patterns before but the pink one might be a psychic type." Oak said as he examined the eggs closer.

Lan"Sounds like a plan should we give it to them before or the day that they start?

Let us have them choose the night before they leave.
