A Reckless Decision

Lan quickly made his way towards his first destination, Pewter City. Oak denoted that it was the first stop as a Major City for most trainers and home to one of the Underground Markets that was not under Team Rockets' control. Lan also wanted to explore the Pewter City Museum since it was the home to fossils.

As Lan walked he looked at the sky he had many things to do and not a lot of time. He needed to gather a strong team, Search for information on Poacher Organizations in addition to keeping an eye on Team Rocket.

Lan then activated his system to look at the progress that his two Pokemon have made.

Lan smiled as he thought about his Pokemon. His Magicarp and Cyndaquill both have progressed a lot from when he first got them. His Magicarp is a glutton and seems to grow larger and stronger every time he eats. Cyndaquill has an unwavering determination for power.

Lan had gotten accessories for both of his Pokemon so that they could hold his two remaining Everstones. He didn't want any surprise evolutions happening. He needed to make sure that they were in control of their power.

Lan planned to go into the Mountains near Viridian City and cultivate for a day or two so he could get a plan worked out for his ideal team.

Lan then looked at the sky and activated his Aura to enhance his body. He then felt electric aura run through him and he took off at an insane speed.

[ Later that same Day, Route 22]

Lan was sweating all over as he had just pushed his body to the limit and it was now unable to move. He had found a large lake area to take a break. He let both of his Pokemon out of their Pokeball.

Magicarp happily swam in the Lake while Cyndaquill explored his surroundings. Lan sat down and started to meditate.

He pondered if electricity could help him make a breakthrough into the second stage and where he would find some electricity since Z was not here to help him.

Eventually, time went by and Cyndaquill came back from its exploration. It had cuts and bruises but was happy. It apparently went and fought some other Pokemon in the Forrest. Lan didn't say anything. From his observations, Cyndiquill is quite responsible and diligent. Whenever Lan trains him, he doesn't complain and performs the best he can leaving himself dead tired and unable to move most of the time.

Lan was excited as it had learned Tackle finally. Now it could fight other Pokemon other than other Magicarp.

"System for now on please only show 'Age or Sex' on the status sheet and only display it on Pokemon other than the current party.

Lan sighed and then pulled out some of his Pokefood that he had made to suit his pokemon's taste. His pokemon chowed down right away and after they had their fill they curled up and started to sleep. Lan returned them right away.

It started to get dark and clouds started to roll in. Lan stood still for a sec before laughing "Haha, I totally forgot this is an amazing opportunity.

He quickly activated his Aura and grabbed his stuff and rushed up the mountain.

A couple of minutes later Lan was sitting at the peak of the mountain staring up at the sky smirking.

" I really hope this works. The last time Z and I trained in lightning he went Berserk." He said while feeling the scar on his chest. Lan then took off his shirt and bag and placed them out of the way.

He then sat down on the steep cliff and started to rotate his Aura throughout his body. Silver and Blue Sparks danced over his skin singeing his shorts and skin.

Lightning Fell and Struck Lan

Lan gritted his teeth and tried to rotate his Aura as best he could while keeping in control. His whole body felt bloated and was under extreme pain. His Muscles expanded and his bones cracked underneath the tremendous pressure

Lan felt a faint barrier but used the energy flowing in his body to attack it.

the Barrier broke and the bloated feeling started to fade and his Aura circulation rapidly sped up

Lan then felt a stronger barrier blocking his rotation.

Lan got struck three more times in rapid succession by lightning forcing an incredible amount of energy into his body while blue and silver lightning continued to arc encompassing his whole body. His body rapidly tore itself apart and heald itself. Lan's Energy scorched the surrounding rocks and destroyed some nearby boulders. [Like Plasma Ball the one you touch at science meuseums]

Lan felt that he was losing control of his power the aura was like a river that couldn't be stopped as it flooded his body. Lan spat out blood while the Lightning was wrecking his body inside and out.

Lan couldn't take it anymore and immediately blacked out.
