In the previous chapter we see how our protagonist wins the Soul Badge after an exciting, besides not only that, but, after an extremely even combat, Nancy also gets her medal, leaving only Verity to get the Badge in order to get going for the next badge.
With Verity.
That's right, I wanted him to believe that he was going to make the same move to make the same attack.
"Use Protect and then Thunder Wave!"
Luxio immediately stopped his attack and protected himself from Golbat's attack which did no harm to Luxio, who counterattacked immediately afterwards with a Thunder Wave that hit Golbat squarely, paralyzing him.
I knew the battle was going to be tough, so I taught this combination of attacks to Luxio on purpose.
"Luxio come back!" – I said returning Luxio to his Pokéball.
Then i took out another Pokéball.
"Prinplup I choose you!" – I said throwing the Pokéball.
Prinplup came out of his Pokéball ready to fight.
"You may have paralyzed my Golbat, but it's nothing to him, attack with Air Slash!"
"Hehe, use Protect and then Icy Wind!"
"Protect again?"
That's right, Protection is a very good attack to devise very interesting strategies.
Numerous sharp wind blades went to Prinplup however they did not impact at all because Prinplup protected himself, then used Icy Wind and a kind of icy wind went straight towards Golbat.
"Too slow to guess, dodge it and use Cross Poison!"
But as Golbat was about to dodge, some lightning bolts came out of his body and restricted his movement.
"Fuck!"
Exactly, the paralysis worked at the right time and the Ice Wind hit Golbat squarely, my goal was to slow down so that he did not dodge so much, but who would think that he would fall weakened.
"Golbat cannot continue, Prinplup wins!" – said the referee.
Then Koga thanked his Pokémon and returned it to his Pokéball, then took out another.
"Wow are you good, however, this was just a warm-up, now the exciting thing is coming, Muk I choose you!" – exclaimed Koga.
An intimidating Muk came out of his Pokéball ready to get the victory over everything else, but I was not going to let him, this victory will be mine yes or yes.
"Prinplup let's start, use Icy Wind!"
"Let it hit and then a Thunder Punch!"
The Ice Wind hit Muk squarely, and although he took damage, he quickly recovered and went straight towards Prinplup wrapping his fist in what appeared to be electricity.
"It's too slow, use Metal Claw!"
Prinplup managed to make his attack thanks to Muk's low speed and both impacted their respective attacks on the other, but the result was that both retreated, they were evenly matched in strength.
"Bubble Beam!"
"Disintegrate it with Poison Jab!"
Muk used his attack to disintegrate Prinplup's attack, but I expected that.
"Come over and use Metal Claw!"
Again Muk and Prinplup collided attacks, but again they were tied in strength, neither of them yielding to the other.
"Go away and use Icy Wind!"
Prinplup walked away and released an Ice Wind that hit Muk.
"It's silly, hit it hard with Thunder Punch!"
Muk took advantage of the fact that Prinplup had just launched his attack and hit him with a Thunder Punch directly in his stomach that sent him flying.
"Are you okay Prinplup?" – I asked nervously.
"Prin!" - he nodded.
"Perfect, then again use Metal Claw!"
"Then let's attack another way, Muk, get the attack!"
To be honest he hadn't predicted he would do that, so Prinplup impacted his attack on Muk.
"Walk away and that Bubble Beam!"
"Don't let him walk away!"
What the hell? Prinplup tried to get rid of Muk, but it was impossible, his fins had become trapped in his slimy body.
"Thunder Punch and finish him!"
"No, dodge it!"
But it was not possible and again the Thunder Punch hit Prinplup sending him flying and weakening him in the process.
"Prinplup can't continue, Muk wins!" – said the referee.
"You did well Prinplup, it's time for you to take a well-deserved break" – I said returning Prinplup to his Pokéball.
Then I took out the Luxio Pokéball again.
"Luxio, I choose you!" – I said throwing his Pokéball.
Luxio came out of his Pokéball again ready to fight and get the victory.
"Let's get started, Muk uses Poison Jab!"
Muk approached as best he could and tried to use his attack, however, he was not going to allow such a thing.
"Dodge it and use Thunder Fang!"
Luxio easily dodged the attack and hit a Thunder Fang on Muk, however, I did not predict that Muk would grab Luxio in the next moment.
"Well done Muk, use Poison Jab and finish him off with one blow!"
"Thunder Fang!"
Both attacks impacted both Pokémon, but now you could see both very exhausted and had a problem, Luxio's missing attack was a contact attack, so if he attacked there was only one ending.
"Lux!" - said Luxio, looking at me.
I understood what he meant, I actually knew that the only chance we had to win was for both of them to come out weakened in the process, so I have no choice.
"Okay, Luxio, use Thunder Fang at full power!"
"It's stupid for you to do the same strategy again, Muk hold it tight and melt it using Poison Fang!"
Muk managed to grab Luxio by impacting his attack on him, but not before Luxio impacted his attack as well.
Due to the great damage they both suffered, they fell weakened the next instant.
"Muk and Luxio can't go on!" – said the referee.
"You did well Luxio, don't worry, we will win" – I said as I returned it to his Pokéball.
"Ready for the grand finale?" asked Koga.
"Ready for the victory!" – I nodded.
"I like your enthusiasm, then let's not postpone it anymore, Muk, I choose you!" – said Koga.
And his Muk form Alola came out of his Pokéball, I remember that in the fight with Ash and Nancy this Muk was stronger than the previous one, so I only have one strategy for this case, if I want to win, I will have to make it work or I do not know if this time I will be victorious.
"Crocalor, I choose you!" – I said pulling Focalor out of his Pokéball.
"Let's go, Muk uses Crunch, let's finish this match soon!"
Muk approached at a great speed towards Crocalor.
"Crocalor, get the attack head-on!"
"What?" asked Koga confused.
Crocalor was fully attacked, but that was just what he expected.
"Now, use Will-O-Whisp!"
That's right, my goal was to burn him, that would make his contact attacks less powerful.
About 3 ghostly looking flames came out of Crocalor's mouth impacting fully on Muk who retreated in pain from the impact.
"I see, I knew he would dodge the Will-O-Whisp at all costs, so you preferred to fully receive the attack and secure the blow," Koga said.
"That's right, otherwise it would have been impossible to connect the attack" – I nodded.
"Well done, but it's not enough, Muk, use Focus Blast!"
I was already afraid that he would have that attack, although he did not use it against Nancy, Ash's had it and that's why I already foresaw this situation.
"¡Crocalor use Fire Spin!"
A whirlpool of fire went straight towards the Focus Blast, which did not take long to overcome, but I also had that in mind, my goal was that Crocalor gave time to dodge the blow, since due to its low speed it would not give him time to do it in normal conditions.
"Now, use Fire Spin again!"
"Fuck, it was a distraction, dodge it!"
But it was too late to dodge the blow and the whirlwind hit Muk, trapping him completely, this would wear Muk down every certain period of time.
"Damn, you are good, very good, but you won't be able to beat us like this, Muk, use Focus Blast, let's see how he is able to dodge this time!"
"Try to dodge her!"
But he could not, as I said his low speed is a problem when trying to dodge such fast attacks, so the Focus Blast hit Focalor fully sending him to fly, but in return, the whirlwind of fire damaged Muk a little more, which was already quite worn.
The Muk attack was not diminished because it was not a contact attack, so the Accurate Wave did a lot of damage to Crocalor, who looked quite tired.
"Muk uses Focus Blast and finish him, he can barely move anymore and won't be able to dodge the attack!"
Muk formed his attack and threw it towards Crocalor at a high speed.
"We won't lose, Crocalor, use Flamethrower!"
Both attacks collided and neither seemed to want to give in to the other, however, over time, the sphere was gaining ground.
"This is the end!" – Koga said with a smile.
"None of that, Crocalor uses Flamethrower at full power, it shows that we will not lose to anyone!"
Crocalor listened to my words and an emotion arose within him causing the Flamethrower to increase in size and begin to gain ground.
"It can't be!" - said Koga stunned.
"If it can be, let's go Crocalor, one last effort!"
After saying that, Crocalor tried as hard as he could and ended up winning the clash of attacks, causing the Flamethrower to hit Muk completely weakening him.
"Muk can't keep fighting, therefore victory goes to challenger Verity!" – said the referee.
"Yes, we did it, we did it!" – I shouted with joy.
After that came a lot of congratulations from the others, the truth is that it was a pretty hard fight, but finally I got it, the Soul Badge.
"By the way, I advise you to take a rest period to train, Sabrina is very strong, that's why I advise you to train" – Koga warned us.
…
With Ash.
"We'll keep that in mind, anyway we had planned to spend some time training" – I nodded.
"Yes, this gym was very hard, we have to train more if we want to beat Sabrina" – Nancy nodded.
"Exactly" - Verity added.
"I'm glad to hear that, so I will recommend you to return to Saffron City surrounding the Safari Zone, do not go down the bike path, so you can experience new things and catch some useful Pokémon, I also recommend you visit the Pokémon Tower in Lavender Town, you can find some very interesting and useful Ghost-type Pokémon to use against Sabrina" – suggested Koga.
"We'll keep that in mind, thank you very much for everything" - I nodded.
"You're welcome, and now if you excuse me I have one thing I have to do" - Koga said, leaving the scene.
We also went straight to the Pokémon Center to rest, it had been a very long day and we needed to rest, as for our next destination, we decided to leave in 4 days, we have decided to take a few days off before leaving.
The chapter of tomorrow will be:
Pokémon The Film: Heroes Latios and Latias!
Don't miss it!
