The Piracy Amends

Her name was Ruby. She was the leader of these dwarfs and so-called pirates. The look on her face was tough. Behind those beautiful eyes, I could feel the pain and see the storm that was coming through.

Who is she? What is she doing here?

The question lingered at the back of my mind. We are currently in her cabin at the ship. She asked to let me go as I asked to have a settled conversation. From nature, she looked quite observant but her eyes said she was very impatient.

She poured red wine into two cups on the table as she offered one to me and the other one she gulped down in one go. She asked-" How did you come to know about us?"

" I came here in the search of the Stone of the arch."- I replied calmly.

She knitted her brows as she asked-" The stone?". The laughed after a long pause and I kept looking at her blankly. She stopped and replied still while laughing-" The s-sirens will kill you before you try to take them"

"I know that. But I have no option. I need that... To save my people... My country... Dear ones"- I said before gulping down the red wine through my mouth.

It was the time to tell her what she needs to know as to which I faced her properly and began to tell her one by one. She listens to me with all her patients. I told her one by one about what we have faced and what we have lost... What lingered behind the darkness for this WitchLands. I didn't want to scare her away so I just said the important part.

Throughout the conversation her face was expressionless. It was hard to read what was going on in her mind. I was scared that will I be able to convenience them or not.

She asked after I finished-" So there was a woman named Gina who sent you here?"

I paused before I replied-" Y-Yes. She kind of directed us here. But is an elemental witch, that made her stronger than any of us. Thus with her powers, she guided us here. But... The walls are visible to me while I was searching for the way. And then... your men abducted me"

She laughed out loud as she said-" Well... It was a good story woman. I don't know if I could believe it or not. many hunters come here telling us kind of the same story in the search of the precious stone and our possessions. But we have been learned to evolve in these years..."

" No... I am not any hunter. I swear... I really need that stone to protect this land... You don't understand what is coming... Aya will be bringing wrath upon the Earth... Which will destroy every land so far..."

She sighed as she said while going away-" Maybe you should try to tell a better story next time... Oh, wait... there is no next time. You are going to die now"

I am losing every hope now. I don't know what Priam and others doing now. While I am standing in the lost Seah beach but cannot do anything. Everything is so near...

6 of her dwarf guards began to come on my way with rope in their hands. Pretty much to tie me up again. She didn't look back as she walked away to the deck. The blue sky above me, was somewhere seems gloomy right now, due to the tears that started forming in my eyes. Hope was the only thing I could rely on, but nothing seems to work right now. I started to see everything blur. The dwarfs somehow managed to tie me up. I was weak anyways from my body, I couldn't protect myself.

No... I cannot lose like this.

"No, wait... I need that golden wand... You don't understand.. Felix and Aya will destroy everything if I don't find it quickly."

She halts in her way suddenly. Something in my word seems to stop her. She turned back, her eyes seems furious as she slowly came back towards me. She asked-" Who did you say?"

I gulped and said-"F- Felix... and A-Aya"

Her eyes turned dark with their names. Seemed like she knows them and they did something to offend her. She mumbled-" Felix". Her expression was of hatred and anger. She clutched her hands in a fist as she looked at me with her furious eyes and asked-" How did you know him?"

I replied-" he is the one who is responsible for my father's death and many more people. He is the one who betrayed me... made me suffer for years..."

Somehow her anger tuned into the forms of teras as it began to flow out. I was confused. My hands were tied up but still, I asked-" Ruby... Is there anything I can help with... I give you my words I will."

She was standing still like a statute as she said after a long pause-" There is nothing you can do now"

One of the oldest dwarfs came forth. He looked tough and cranky as he began to say-" Felix is the one who made us suffer like this too"

I asked in confusion-" What do you mean?"

He began to say-" There was once a time when the dwarfs and Mermans stayed happily together in the border of the WitchLands. This beach was once known and The "Seah Beach" of the WitchLand, which means 'life'. It was long ago. We also had a family before we became the pirates and Sirens."

He said I looked around, their faces of them were showing sadness and grief.

" It was the time when the Witchlands were having the war with the Evil Witch Lady Georgia. She was a plaque in this land. She came to us one day to seek help and make allies with her. "

So, they know Lady Georgia too?

" We were called the "lifesavers/ healers" of these lands as to which we cannot take sides. We were bound to the law. The absolute law of magic. Which that filthy woman didn't understand. She forced us to be with her as she threats to destroy our land.... our home... and our people. Despite her threats, we chose to stay loyal to our law and that is where we met Felix... known as the venom."

The name was ringing in my ears like an arrow. This man had destroyed so many people's life... My eyes turned towards Ruby who was crying now. She was trying hard to hold on, but her emotions betrayed her, making her sob a little"

Ruby take a deep breath as she began to say-" I was a child back then... An abundant child to say. My mom is the one who betrayed these people. My mom was one of their slaves. She came here when she was an infant. She begged these innocent people to make her stay there for a night. It was a rainy night. the storms were raging in the night sky, as thunders took over all the sky. She betrayed them causing this land to spread the plaque she had in her."

The words sound too painful from her mouth. She was holding it for a long I guess. Despite her tough outer look, she was fragile inside.

The other dwarf woman said-" That night, she helped Felix to slay our people and burn our homes. The mermaids somehow came to the rescue but, the evil witch had cursed her to be the most selfish soul to be. This is how they became Sirens. Somehow we managed to save her, the little child that cheered our heart. Her mother didn't look back for her and since then she is with us. Her mother never came back nor did anyone come in search of her. I didn't know about her father too. There was only one thing that belongs to her real family, a bracelet that she was wearing when she came here. But she chose not to wear it. She is our daughter now. She grew up to be a stronger woman and our leader now. After losing our home, we had to feed her, manage her. So we chose to be the pirates. We didn't have anywhere to live so we made this ship to hide. And Sirens... they indeed became the selfish creature but they still sheltered us. This is how we work now, we bring them food... and they keep our possessions."

They have gone through many things, which I never knew, I doubt if Grandma or Priam know about them or not. They were part of our Land and yet they were abundant... I can not let this happen. I need to make things right that they have failed to do. This was the chance. I begged-" Ruby... I am sorry for you, but there doesn't mean I pity you. You are an amazingly strong woman I have seen. Something in you reminds me of someone I have lost years ago. I am sorry that your mother chose to, leave you behind, but see what you have gained... A beautiful family. I, Parshawna Macduff, the Queen of the trinity kingdom. I give you my words, If you will help me, I will help you to restore your people in my kingdom with all the dignity. I will make amends with you and give you back your land... the one which was yours"

They all looked towards me with a tint of hope in their eyes. I knew this will work. I said-" I need the stone to kill the man and woman who have caused chaos in these lands... I need your help with that... please. "

Ruby sighed and replied-" maybe you are the one, about whom Chloe said years ago... You said something about the golden wand didn't you?"

The elementary witch... She knew I would come...

I nodded in response.

Ruby said-" Then you are the only one who can reverse the curse and save us, Shawna... I will help you as long as you give your words to save my people. "

Without any further thoughts ai said-" I give you my words "

The next few hours went by telling each other our sides of the story. Ruby said she will help me get the stone, but before that, I need to meet Praim and others. They probably are worried about me by now. I am sure Priam was searching for me. Last night, something changed between us. All those anger and stubborn misunderstandings were long gone. We had the first real kiss of love.

The flash of yesterday night's moments came in front of my eyes, causing me to feel the heat in my cheeks. I shrugged off the thoughts, but couldn't control the smile that was on my lips. I cannot believe, finally, everything is turning out to be right. But at the same time, I was scared, because every time Something good began to happen, it tends to be taken away from me.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath as I was sitting in a room on the ship, that Ruby had offered me. They gave me fruits to eat. I was hungry so it didn't take much time to finish it off.

An Old dwarf lady came and asked-" Is there anything you want Queen Shawna?"

I nodded in a no and replied-" No, thank you... But I had to ask... When will Ruby come? My husband and friends are on another side of the gate... I need to..."

Before I could finish my sentence another male dwarf came inside in a hurry as he said-" Queen Parshawna, I-I think.. Y-You need to see this..."

For some reason, my heart panicked. An unknown fear started inside of me. I was confused but I was scared.

We walked upwards towards the deck where we saw the dwarfs were standing surrounding something. Ruby was not near anywhere. My heart was beating fast with each step. I was praying that I don't see something which I don't want to.

I stopped before the gathering, as I carefully looked inside. As soon as my eyes fell on a few bodies that were lying on the floor, I gasped. They were our soldiers... Their body was shrunk as if someone as sucked all their energy, The eyes were rolled back but opened as if they died in a shock and their mouth was hanging open as if they tried to scream but couldn't... they were still wearing the armours...

Tears rolled down from my eyes as I began to search for the ones whom my heart prays that I don't see here... I wished for there safely, but still, I needed to be sure. I sighed in relief when I saw there were only 5 bodies and they were soldiers...

But that means... they found this place... They are here.... they are in danger!!!!
