CMO* Turned Messenger

Luhan picked up the files on the floor the moment it dropped (without being seen as the father daughter pair was too busy talking) and handed it Min

Min nodded and said, "that's better" and walked to her desk to put down the files that dropped when Father Zhang twirled her around

She then walked to the sofa/sitting area in her office and sat down where her father was

*knock knock*

Min replied in an indifferent voice "come in"

Sheng came in and was surprised to see three people as Min only asked for two teas and most importantly the guests were CEO Zhang and his assistant!

Min then looked and realized she forgot about Luhan and did not ask for three teas so she spoke, "Sheng, please pass the two teas to CEO Zhang and Assistant Li then get me another cup please. Thank you"

Sheng, still surprised, immediately placed the cups on the coffee table and went out again to get tea for Min

After another 5 minutes, Sheng knocked on the door again and after gaining permission to come in, he placed the third cup on the coffee table and silently walked out again to let the guests continue talking with his boss

- the next 30 minutes, the father and daughter started chatting with Luhan occasionally speaking -

Min stood up when she realized 30 minutes had already passed and said to her father, "Ba, you and Big Brother Luhan should go now. You must be really busy especially preparing for Brother's birthday and Mid-Autumn festival"

Father Zhang stood up as well with Luhan and replied back, "princess it's fine but since you also have work we will go. Come back home soon"

And rubbed Min's head affectionately then left with Luhan

Min walked them to her office door and said, "bye Ba and Big Brother Luhan!"

Both waved before leaving to the underground parking lot where the car they came in from was parked

Min started working again until late at night when Sheng came in after knocking and said, "Boss, we should leave now. It's 9 pm already"

Min nodded and placed the document in her hand into her bag then walked to the door and left the office with Sheng as their cars were parked next to each other.

After 25 minutes, Min arrived at the penthouse parking lot, and took the VIP elevator that directly went to her penthouse which was the only one on her floor although there is another penthouse above her which was rumored that it belonged to either the owner of the building or someone close to them.

Min walked into her penthouse and changed into leisure wear with a messy bun and went to make some dinner in her kitchen before eating at the island countertop with a bar stool

She then placed the dished in the dishwasher and went to watch the news

After skipping some channel, one channel caught her eye as it was talking about the Zhang family, her family so she watched it

"It is rumored that the mysterious Young Miss of the Zhang family will take over Zhang Conglomerate as Young Master Zhang has no intention to and is the pride of our country being the youngest major general in the army!" a news anchor said speaking to the camera

Min sighed and spoke to herself, "news already went out? Must be some relative who is trying to get my reputation ruined. Oh well, those old foxes can't disagree to me becoming CEO once I show I became an head director of JL Conglomerate in a year and it's one of the top 3 companies in China anyways"

She turned off the TV and went to her room to get ready for bed then fell asleep the moment her head hit the pillow

Min woke up refreshed and got ready for the day at 6 am like usual by her alarm clock

After picking out an outfit: a white fitted blouse, beige pants, a brown/beige trench coat, and brown ballerina shoes; to complete the look she just put some gloss on her lips as she has a flawless face without needing lots of makeup

Min went to JL Conglomerate and reached the CEO's floor to get the needed documents to send over to Zhang Conglomerate as the "messenger" between the two conglomerates. Of course, Father Zhang's condition was approved given he had the upper hand in business and so Min ended up in a scheme of her dad's which was to get Min to spend more time with him

Min arrived at the CEO's floor and went to the front desk on the floor to make sure she can meet up with Tang Chen as this project is personally handled by him since it is with the top company of Asia economy/market.

Min asked the receptionist; "hello, I need to talk with CEO Tang as I have to receive the documents necessary for the upcoming project. My name is Zhang Min, CMO" in her neutral but slightly cold tone

The receptionist was stunned before blurting out without thinking, "Ice Beauty Direct- I- I- mean Director Zhang one moment please" and her cheeks, ears and neck slightly turned red from embarrassment as she blurted out Min's nickname everyone gave her in front of Min's face!

Min just nodded not caring for the nickname since it is the image she wanted to project to other employees and staff members to make sure no one pries about her and her personal life else it would not take much time for someone to get suspicious about her surname and identity which she did not want

Min was waiting for the receptionist to confirm Tang Chen was not busy when she remembered she should prepare her resignation letter after this project and get the interviews for her personal assistant started as she would definitely need one once she goes over to Zhang Conglomerate to work.

"Director Zhang, CEO Tang's meeting should end within 5 minutes or so, if you would like, you may wait in the waiting lounge while CEO Tang wraps up his meeting" the receptionist spoke

Min nodded her head, flashed her fake but pretty smile of hers and walked to the lounge to wait for Tang Chen

- after 6 minutes -

Chen's POV

Chen just finished his meeting when his assistant told him that Zhang Min was waiting for him and guessed it was for the documents that were needed to be given to Zhang Conglomerate/CEO Zhang

The documents were important so he wanted them hand delivered and as CEO Zhang asked Min to be the "messenger" between the two companies, he asked his assistant to email Min prior yesterday to come in the morning to pick up the documents

Chen walked out of the meeting room after dismissing the meeting and walked over the lounge area

He was shocked to see Min as he recently started paying more attention out of curiosity to this woman who did not pay heeds to him who was dressed elegantly but fashionably with her good height, curves and face, she was a remarkable sight to see, especially to Chen~
