Origin of Chaos: Legend of The Red Tiger

In the world of Zenon, where Psychic and esper powers reigned supreme, Alexander, the royal prince, was born without the ability to harness the psychic energy known as “Zet”. Branded a “dud” by the society, Alexander faced discrimination and hate, even within his own kingdom. However, tragedy struck after a brutal coup claimed the lives of his parents, casting Alexander into slavery, stripping of his royal name and status. During his time suffering as a slave, Alex’s rage grew even more and he swore to get revenge on the world that had rejected him. His chance for vengeance came after fifteen years, when he and a large number of slaves were forced to go through an inhumane gene-altering experiment. A huge majority of the slaves lost their lives, their bodies unable to take the excruciating pain from the experiment. There were only five survivors, which included Alexander and four others, emerging as new beings with supernatural abilities. With their newfound powers, Alexander and the other four unleashed chaos and destruction upon Zenon, wreaking havoc on those who once oppressed them. However, their actions and even their mere existences drew grave consequences, ones that may be far bigger than them. **** This novel contains serious bloodshed and gore, please don’t read if you can’t stomach any of this. Helpless

Ever since he 'woke up' from the experiment, he noticed his senses had gotten a lot sharper.

He could hear every single thing going on around him, from the gentle flow of the breeze around him to the tiniest sound going on around him.

In fact, if he focused just a little bit, he could hear everything happening not just in the kingdom, but in Zenon as a whole.

His heightened senses weren't just linked to his hearing, his sight had also become thousands time sharper.

Everything around him was a lot clearer, and he could easily see even the littlest details.

It was a strange, yet thrilling sensation.

However, the strangest part about it was how "normal" all of this felt.

Despite all his sensing becoming heightened to insane levels, he didn't feel overwhelmed in the slightest bit.

It was as if it had always been like this, as if he had always been able to see like this… hear like this.

Even his newfound strength didn't feel the tiniest bit strange to him, almost as if he had possessed these powers since birth.

It was why he instinctively knew he had claws, and why he was able to balance himself so effortlessly despite moving at such insane speed.

"Hah…" Alex let out a light sigh, his lips slowly curling into a smirk.

His gaze slowly drifted to the bloodied body of the woman lying motionlessly on the other side of the room, and a strange glint flashed through his eyes.

He slowly walked towards the woman, before crouching in front of her body.

Suddenly, his breathing became a little heavier, and he swallowed down a hard gulp, his gaze still fixed on the body.

'I'm hungry…' Alex mumbled inwardly, lightly clutching his abdomen.

Before he knew it, his hands started stretching towards the woman's head, however, he abruptly paused, with a slight frown on his face.

"What am I even doing…?" He mumbled, slowly standing back up.

"And how long are you going to keep pretending?" He said, turning to the other side of the room.

At first, no one answered, causing an awkward silence in the room.

Shatter!

However, after a few seconds, one of the 'pods' on the other end of the room suddenly shattered into pieces, breaking the previous solemn atmosphere.

"Damn it… I really thought you wouldn't notice." A blonde haired man slowly climbed down from the 'platform', staring at Alex with a wry smile on his face.

"It was pretty easy to tell." Alex replied, a strange glint flashing through his eyes.

Back when he killed Port'hov's clone, his ears picked up the sound of a heart beating behind him, which was how he knew he wasn't the only one who survived the experiment.

'He easily broke those metal straps… does that mean he's also like me…? Or different?' As the thought crossed through his mind, his eyes subconsciously lit up with a bright red glow.

And to his surprise, the blonde haired man's eyes shone yellow in response.

"Hmm… I see." He muttered, lightly rubbing his chin. 'So he's similar to me, no wonder his presence feels so… familiar.'

"Hmph, whatever." Alex muttered, turning back to the other side.

"Do whatever you want, as for me… I'm going to kill that bastard Port'hov." He mumbled, his lips slowly curling into a sinister smirk.

BLEEP!!

BLEEP!!

Suddenly, alarms started blaring loudly across the room, breaking the silent atmosphere.

The room flashed with bright red lights, pulsating rapidly as the sirens screamed on.

"I expected the alarms to go off a lot earlier." The blonde haired man muttered, his brows furrowing slightly.

"Besides, how are you going to find him?" He said, turning back to Alex.

Although the room was very noisy due to the blaring alarms, Alex still heard his words clearly.

"I can sense him… he's not too far away from here." He mumbled, clenching his hands into a tight fist.

"Ohh, and you're going to go…" The blonde haired man said, pointing at Alex's dressing. "…like that? Looking like an escaped lab specimen?

Alex immediately halted upon hearing his words, taking a second to look back at himself.

The only thing currently covering his nakedness was the thin blue gown which was placed on him by the scientists before the experiment began.

However, it didn't do much work since the material was so thin that one could easily see his nakedness if they looked for a few seconds.

The only difference now was that a large portion of it was dyed in blood, which made it a little less transparent.

'But escaped… lab specimen? Seriously?' He thought, his brows twitching uncontrollably.

  Meanwhile…

"Argh!" Port'hov shouted, pulling his hair in frustration.

Lying on the ground beside him was a broken blue headset, which broke when he smashed it on the ground.

"What the hell is this… Qer'sa… she's dead." He mumbled, his body trembling in fear.

Although he never showed it, she was the only person he cared for in this world.

After her mother died, she was all he had left in this world… his only daughter.

His plan was for her to take over his position after he was dead, which was why he was always so harsh on her, to the point where it even seemed like he hated her sometimes.

However, all that was now impossible, since she was dead, and it was all his fault.

She had always hated his obsession with creating the 'perfect soldier', claiming it was nothing short of stupid and unnecessary.

But he never listened to her, instead, he punished her, by forcing her to take part in the experiment along with him.

Each time it failed, he transferred the aggression unto her, further worsening their relationship.

However, he regretted it all now. If only he had listened and stopped with his crazy obsession, none of these would have happened. At least… she would still be alive.

He would have been dead also, if not for the fact that it was his clone Alex attacked and not his real body.

The clones worked similarly to a robot, and he could transfer his consciousness to each and every one of them via the blue headset.

This allowed him to see through their eyes like a camera.

Usually, he did just this, to monitor what was going on around the clones. But when he thought the experiment was going well, he fully transferred to 'that' particular clone.

So while he hadn't been present in the lab, he felt everything that happened, and it greatly terrified him.

Even now, he could still 'see' it at the back of his mind… those bright red eyes.

The more he thought about it, the deeper the despair sunk into his skin, and his body trembled in fear.

Just what the hell had he done…?

Nonetheless, it was too late for regrets now. There was nothing he could do, except try to think up a solution to this problem.

He had to find a way to kill Alex, or else, the whole of Zenon was doomed.
