Clash of ideals[1]

   "P-please… m-make it stop… Arrgh!!" Port'hov shouted in agony, as the venom wracked mercilessly through his body, causing him immense pain.

  "Hehe." Alex chuckled, relishing in the sweet wave of despair oozing from the man.

   'I didn't expect this though… that I can secrete venom from my claws.' He thought, staring at the colourless liquid dripping down his claws.

   'But I guess it isn't so bad.' He mumbled inwardly, his lips slowly curling into a proud smirk.

   He slowly stood back on his feet, ignoring Port'hov, who was still screaming in pain.

   The poison he injected into him was very slow, yet extremely lethal.

   It would continue wreaking havoc inside his body for about twenty more minutes, before his heart finally stop beating, and he died.

  It was a really cruel method of taking someone's life, one very befitting for a person like Port'hov.

   'Now, it's time to bring this whole place down!' He thought, clenching his hands into a tight fist.

Swoosh!!

    Without wasting anytime, he thrusted his fist forward, sending out a powerful shockwave towards one of the giant tubes.

   However, just as the attack was about to hit it, a familiar blonde haired man suddenly appeared in front of it, deflecting the attack with a punch of his own.

   "What the hell do you think you're doing… Alex?" He said, his eyes glowing bright yellow once more.

   "Huh?" Alex mumbled, his brows furrowing into a deep frown. "I should be the one asking that."

   "What do you think you're doing, blondie?" He said, slowly clenching his hands into a fist.

  "Stopping you. Why would just destroy the whole place?" The blonde haired man said, letting out a low hiss of annoyance. "And my name isn't… 'blondie', it's Lee'on."

   "Who cares. Stay out of my way." Alex said, flashing his fangs at the man.

   "This whole place… is filled with information. Scientific discovery accumulated through decades, I want to study it all." Lee'on said, spreading his hands to the side.

   "Like hell I'll just let you smash away everything!" He proclaimed, letting out a low growl.

   "Scientific discovery you say… or unnecessary bloodshed of innocent people." Alex said, gnashing his teeth in anger.

   "Whatever, I'll just kill you." He mumbled, his eyes shining with a bright red glint.

Swoosh!

   He immediately dashed forward at immense speed, causing a massive gust of wind.

    In a split second, he reached Lee'on, swiftly swiping his claws at his head.

  Sensing the incoming danger, Lee'on quickly stepped backwards, successfully evading the claws which ripped violently through the air.

   'He's fast!' He thought, his eyes widening in surprise. 'I could barely react!

   After that first exchange, he swiftly leapt backwards, creating some distance between him and Alex.

   "You have good reflexes, but that won't be enough." Alex said, brandishing his claws for another attack.

   'Tsk… how annoying.' Lee'on thought, letting out a low hiss. 

 Without wasting anytime, he quickly released his own claws. However, he didn't just there, and took the transformation a little further.

   Streaks of white fur, adorned with thick black stripes rapidly sprouted beneath his elbows, extending down to his hands.

Growl!

   "Really…?" He mumbled, letting out a deep growl.

   His ears slowly elongated, with white fur blooming behind it, until the back of his ears were fully coated with fur.

    His height also increased, and the muscles in his body bulged slightly with power.

   "Going all out from the start huh… let's see how that would help you, blondie!" Alex shouted, dashing forward with a sudden burst of speed.

    Harnessing his strength through his arms, he swiftly sent a punch towards Lee'on's head.

   However, the latter simply moved his head to the side, causing the punch to hit empty air instead.

Boom!!

    While he managed to dodge the attack, a powerful shockwave suddenly blasted from Alex's fist, travelling through the air at rapid speed. 

Bamm!!

    The shockwave slammed into the wall behind them, instantly exploding it into rubble.

   'Damn it, even if I manage to escape his attacks, the shockwaves are too powerful! The laboratory would still be damage!' Lee'on thought, his brows furrowing into a deep frown.

   "Thinking while in a fight, terrible idea." A familiar voice abruptly echoed in his ear, and his eyes widened in shock.

Thwack!!!

     Before he could even react, a powerful punch slammed into his abdomen, sending him flying through the air.

    "Agh…" Lee'on grunted in pain, thick red blood spraying out of his mouth.

   Nonetheless, he quickly balanced himself back on the ground, his feet sliding to a halt a few feet away.

Swoosh!!

   'Wh—?!' His eyes widened in shock, as his senses suddenly warned him of another attack, this time from his side.

   He immediately turned his head to the side, however, all that filled his vision was a pair of bright red eyes, and a giant fist heading straight for his face.

   Just before the punch connected with his face, he swiftly bent his body backwards, barely evading the attack once more.

Boom!!

   'Damn it…' He thought, gnashing his teeth in frustration as he watched the fist pass over his body, unleashing another powerful shockwave into air.

Thwamm!!

Splooosh!!

   This time, the shockwave slammed into one of the giant tubes, and a strange brown liquid suddenly exploded out of it, as the tube was blasted open.

   However, Lee'on didn't let that distract him.

   Alex didn't even give him a chance to rest, before swiping his claws down towards his abdomen.

Whoosh!

    Seeing the attack descending down on him, Lee'on swiftly made a backflip, using his hands to propel himself backwards, while also shifting his torso away.

Bam!!

   Alex's claws struck the floor instead, leaving four claw dents which ran deep into the ground.

  'He's like a cockroach, an annoying one!' Alex thought, letting out a deep growl in frustration.

   Meanwhile, Lee'on's eyes shone even brighter, and he unnaturally twisted his body in the air, until the Alex's figure was in his sight.

Fwoosh!

   'I have to attack also!' He thought, speedily descending down on Alex's head with a powerful kick.

Bam!!!

Crack!!

   Within a split second, his feet connected with Alex, the sheer force completely shattering the ground they stood on.

   The floor of the laboratory was fully made of steel, which had been further reinforced with mythril.

   Yet in the face of their power, it became nothing but paper.

BWOOSH!!

Kroom!!!

   The two of them fell to the lower floor of the laboratory, with the rubbles falling down alongside them.

   'Did I get him?' Lee'on thought, his eyes narrowing slightly.

   His question soon got its answer, as Alex suddenly grabbed unto his leg, flinging him to the side with immense force.
