Good News?

Alexander woke up and was greeted by the sounds of Nojiko training early in the morning. So he quickly finished his morning routine to join Nojiko.

He took the time to prepare some breakfast for her. Alexander wasn't the best cook. He was at least proud of not getting her sick from his cooking and gaining poison proficiency from it if he had a system.

When Alexander finished breakfast, he quickly joined Nojiko outside with the breakfast.

"Amazing, Nojiko, it's only been a few hours, and you can already control entire trees." He was impressed with the sight of Nojiko enlarging trees, making them grow in size and controlling them as if they were whips.

"Thank yo..." Nojiko was happy to see him up, and as she was about to thank him for his praise, her stomach started growling, and both of them started laughing.

"Thank you for the breakfast, but you could have just told me, and I could have made it." Nojiko said with a smile.

"Well, I made it just to reward you for doing your best that's all in mastering your new powers and definitely nothing else." He said and ended it like he didn't have anything he wanted in return.

"Ah, so you're saying you made it to reward me and nothing else I see. So if I wanted to reward you for the breakfast, you wouldn't accept it as you didn't do this to gain anything in return." She said as she leaned forward towards his face and stopped just before just an inch away from him.

"Well, if you really insisted on giving me a reward for my efforts, I couldn't possibly deny you, now could I?" He said as he greedily kissed her lips.

"Wow, aren't you greedy." she said as she started kissing him greedily too.

"I wouldn't be like this if you had woken up by my side earlier." he said with a slight smile.

"Who are you trying to fool. You would probably have been even more eager if we had been in bed." She said shaking, her head lightly.

"Guilty"

Nojiko noticed what he was planning to do now. "We can't do this outside here."

"If you are scared of showing yourself like that, you just have to use your new powers to cover us up." he said with a grin.

As he said that Nojiko did her best to cover them, and after a few tries, she successfully did it, and they spent the rest of their morning embracing each other.

The breakfast Alexander made was quickly forgotten and left half-eaten.

A few hours later, when they had finished and got hungry from all that, they finally noticed the now cold breakfast and laughed again.

A while after they had gotten back to their usual schedule after some fun, they noticed a News Coo coming their way.

Quickly, calling the News Coo over to see what news it would bring today after paying for the newspaper, they both sat together to see news.

The moment they got the newspaper, what stood on the front page shocked Alexander deeply was a lengthy statement from the World Government.

It said after a long and restless investigation, they had found a man falsely accused of crimes he had not committed. They wished for the world to forgive them for this enormous mistake they had made.

The person, the World Government, had found falsely accused was Alexander. When he saw the article, he was at a loss for words as everything he had done was accurate to some degree.

What shocked him the most was them making a statement about it and apologizing for it, but he could see that this was good on their part.

It showed that even they had flaws and could make mistakes to some degree and that they were human to some point.

Sure doing this had its cons, but the pros overweighted the cons as this could make the marine fanatics even more fanatic.

Nojiko looked towards Alexander with the same face as his shock and confusion.

"Does this mean we don't have to hide from the World Government? Or is this just some trap they laid?" she pondered.

"I don't know, but it seems a bit farfetched for it to be a trap for me. I could be considered the 4th Emperor, so going this far to erase everything and act like someone made it look like I was a big shot seems just to unreal to me." he mumbled out loud.

The next couple of days went quietly by, and Alexander still didn't know what to think about what the World Government had said.

If it's true, then at least he got one problem fixed, and they can finally live their lives happily to some degree. Out of the both of them, Nojiko was probably the happiest of them as she couldn't wait to go to some big city and go on a shopping spree.

Something was still bothering Alexander, and it was the organization that had been following them around. In the latest fight with them, he alone couldn't handle Morai, and when he thinks about how many more there exist like Morai in their group.

He couldn't help but worry about what might come next. Right now, he didn't want to think about any of that as he just wanted to rest up from his injuries and continue his training in preparation.

But not to jinx it, Nojiko, on the same night as the news about Alexander's bounty erasure had some news that made the World Governments statement insignificant.

Just as they were about to go to bed, Nojiko came into the bedroom with a white nightgown with a weird look on her face as it was both fear and hesitation.

"Nojiko, what's wrong?" Alexander could tell that she had something on her mind, but he didn't want to force it out of her as she seemed uncomfortable.

"I have something I want to tell you, so please just stay there and just give a second." she said, and Alexander complied and stayed in bed, giving her the time she wanted.

After a short while, Nojiko took a deep breath and looked at Alexander with a determined look on her face, her hesitation was gone, but you could still see some fear on her.

"For a while now, I've wanted to tell you this, but I was scared and didn't know how to tell you this, but I can't keep doing this, so I'm just going to tell you that I'm pregnant." As she said that, she started gently stroking her stomach.

She closed her eyes immediately after as all her built-up confidence disappeared, she didn't dare to see his expression.

When Alexander heard her, his mind completely exploded, he heard everything she said, so it took a second for his head to process what she just said.

When Alexander had processed what she said, he couldn't help but smile, and when he saw Nojiko scared to even look him in the eyes after telling him this. He couldn't help but to hurridly rise up from the bed and embrace Nojiko.

Nojiko, feeling his embrace, opened her eyes to see his expression. She saw Alexander's happy face and even some tears from his eyes.

Seeing him like that, Nojiko couldn't help herself but do the same. Alexander that was getting happier per second lifted her up and started spinning her around while shouting. "I'm going to be a dad."
