Ch 49 - Regrouping

"What the fuck happened?" I ask the million-dollar question. Yet all I get for a reply is the sound of loud ocean waves crashing onto the sharp rocks.

I lay there for a few seconds, staring at the bright sun high up in the sky, trying to recollect what the heck happened to me, and why I'm not dead or captured at this moment.

Yet I'm startled back to reality by a loud voice, "CADE, CADE, Holly fuck your alive! My flower just told me you woke up! Holly shit what happened? My connection was cut right after you told me to leave the island behind!"

"I don't know Carina… I really don't know," I slowly reply as I look around the rocky beach and towards the still unconscious Porche.

[1 Month Later]

"Yaah!"

*Splash*

Is the sound heard as another kid runs and jumps into the large pool a few feet away.

"Aah, this is great Cade-kun~! Just what we needed to de-stress after everything we went through~!" comes the soft voice of Porche-chan from my right.

I look over and I see her laying on her stomach in a sexy red swimsuit, her back facing the sun, laying right on top of a beach lounger chair.

"Porche is right Cade, this is the best decision you've made as far as I've known you~," Carina teasingly says from my left.

I then look over to her and see her resting her back on another lounge chair under a sunshade and shutting her eyes under a pair of blue expensive looking sunglasses, and as I look at her, I can't help but marvel at her body; beautiful curves in the right places and amazing proportions, all of it being highlighted by a gorgeous blue swimsuit.

"Heh, you're right Carina, I don't really have the best track record... but it all worked out in the end…right?" I ask the last part to myself as I look around the surroundings of the hotel pool; followed by looking down at my shirtless torso, displaying a large black tattoo with a strange snake design on my left breast, and if one looked closely, one could notice it moving ever so slowly, curling upon itself in an infinite loop.

After looking for a few long seconds I then look towards my left wrist to find another smaller tattoo, this one being red in the distinguishable design of a tribal sun. (Images here)

To explain why I suddenly have these strange tattoos on my body I need to explain what happened after we left the shore of Blood Snake Island.

A few hours after Carina found us to be okay, she drove the small boat right back to us in order to pick us up. Nothing strange prevented us from leaving and when we got a few miles away from the shore we awoke the unconscious Porche in order to see if she was okay and if she had any idea as to what happened.

The first thing Porche-chan did was kiss me for a few minutes, making it a bit awkward for Carina, but after Porche seemed to relax she started to explain her side of the story. Explaining how she fought and killed a large rat man, named 'Rotto Gambino'… which I believe might not be his name, anyways she explained how he was likely someone who had manipulated everything behind the scenes… for revenge against a pirate I know of from the anime, Capone Bege.

Anyways after she had defeated him she went to look for Carina, that was until she was knocked unconscious and when she woke up again she found herself facing the red haired Cp agent who she revealed to be named Katarina Du Couteau, in the small room that I found her in; something I found very surprising is that Porche actually managed to remember someone's name perfectly… well I guess she has her reasons for it.

Anyways she then revealed to this Katarina a bit about my backstory and my life... something that worries me a little. Not because Porche-chan revealed it or anything, that's not really important, I just wonder what this Katarina is going to do with the information and why she asked for it.

She won't really find anything because that isn't really my true backstory, I'm not from this world after all, but it still worries me a little.

Anyways after that we told Porche-chan everything from our point of view, and she appeared to be very excited at what we explained. She was amazed at Carina's new awesome powers, something that she seemed to envy for a moment before it went away, and she was even more surprised at my Limitless technique once I explained the intricacies to her. She said to me, "Cade-kun! You really only mentioned 'Limitless' to me in passing! Your most powerful technique, you kept it hidden from me for many weeks!" she ranted for a bit, seemingly not liking me keeping something so important from her.

I explained to her my reasons, especially the fact that I wanted to master it before I showed it to her, for a surprise as I had previously stated, hearing this she calmed down and went back to speaking normally, making her once again amazed at what Blood snake Island actually held, the black snake, intricate statues of Amazonian women, Queen Hippolyta's body, the Poneglyph, it was all so amazing that she was tied up in a small room not far away from all of these amazing things.

When I mentioned the valuable statues, Carina started ranting on how we should go back and pick some of those up, but it was immediately disregarded. Not only are there likely still many dangers on the island that we haven't discovered, but it's just not worth it. We are all tired and not ready to go back into the island just yet, and what if those statues aren't even movable? What if something like that strange force I felt reacts to the intrusion.

When I said all this Carina seemed to second think her opinion and quilted down after that. Either way, it's not really a big deal, with our combined strength money is of little concern, we can always steal from influential people without anyone knowing better or simply kill some pirates and take their bounties.

After that we went back to sailing the boat to a small uninhabited island that was close by in order to hunt some animals.

We didn't have much food left on the ship and Porche-chan was so hungry that she basically ate all of the remaining food when her body finally reacted and told her that she was actually starving from the days of not eating anything.

At that small island we then discovered something strange on my body when I removed my blood-soaked shirt, two tattoos… two very strange tattoos that I knew for a fact weren't on my body before stepping foot on Blood Snake Island.
