Sabaody Archipelago, Grove No. 73.
Jewelry Bonney arrived at the hotel where Carnes was staying, observing the gathering of the Gale Emperor Pirates around the establishment.
She was curious with their presence, she approached them without hesitation and asked directly, "Where's the captain?"
The crew members glanced at her with curiosity and inquired, "What do you want with the captain?"
"I have something to discuss with him!" Bonney replied, determined, and made her way inside the hotel. Surprisingly, the crew didn't stop her and let her pass.
Once inside, she realized that the hotel was unusually crowded with members of the Gale Emperor Pirates.
They seemed to be everywhere, and she couldn't help but wonder why.
"Are they planning to set sail for the New World today?" she pondered, but then noticed that their ship hadn't been coated yet, which puzzled her even further.
With confusion lingering in her mind, Bonney reached the door of Carnes' room and knocked. "Knock~"
"Come in," Carnes' voice came from inside.
Pushing the door open, she entered and was immediately taken aback by the scene before her. It was unlike anything she had witnessed before.
All the top members of the Gale Emperor Pirates were gathered in this room – Demiurge, Yuta Okkotsu, Ulquiorra Cifer, Uchiha Obito, Power, Albedo, and representing Nagato, Deva Path Pain.
Carnes, seated at the table, looked up at Bonney calmly and asked, "What brings you here?"
Stunned momentarily, Bonney finally managed to articulate her purpose for visiting. "When are we leaving for the New World?"
They have been in Sabaody Archipelago since several days.
During these days, Carnes didn't go looking for a coating craftsman to coat the boat, so Bonney couldn't guess what Carnes wanted to do.
Despite the urgency of her question, Carnes responded with nonchalance, "I haven't decided yet."
Bonney was taken aback by this response.
Earlier they had rushed to Sabaody Archipelago in hurry, had stayed here for such a long time and Carnes still hadn't made up his mind about their next move?
"So, what's our plan then?" she inquired further.
"It's up to you. If you want to head to the New World, I won't stop you," Carnes replied slowly.
Feeling an unexpected pang of abandonment, Bonney sat down opposite Carnes, seemingly disregarding any formalities.
"And what about you? What are your plans? After all, we are part of your pirate crew. Please let us know in advance, so we can make the necessary preparations," she implored.
Carnes raised his eyes to meet Bonney's and stated plainly, "I'm going to Marineford to kill some people."
A sense of excitement washed over Bonney upon hearing this. She grinned, almost gloatingly, and remarked,
"Who dared to provoke you? They must be really foolish to challenge you Captain…"
Halfway through their conversation, Bonney suddenly sensed something amiss.
She stood up abruptly, her voice trembling as she asked, "Wait? You... Where did you say you were going??"
"Marineford."
Upon receiving Carnes' confirmation, Bonney became visibly frightened, and her voice stuttered slightly.
"Ma.... Marineford, do you know where that is?! It is the Headquarter of Marines?! Are you going to kill people there?! Are you serious?!"
This time, Carnes didn't respond to Bonney.
Instead, he turned his head slowly and gazed out the window.
The Sabaody Archipelago had been swarming with people from Marineford, all members of the Marine's family who had been living there, for the past two days.
The impending battle between Marines and the Whitebeard Pirates was about to erupt, and these individuals had gathered here for their safety.
"It's almost time..." Carnes whispered, finishing the tea Albedo had made for him in one gulp before slowly rising to his feet.
"Let's go."
Without waiting for Bonney's reaction, Carnes left the room, followed by Albedo and the rest of the crew, who had now become resolute in their decision.
Seeing Carnes and the crew determined to leave, Bonney's face warped with disbelief and horror.
Her eyes trembled like an earthquake as she blankly stared at their departing figures, muttering to herself.
"Crazy... These guys must be crazy! That's Marineford, Marine's headquarters!"
Downstairs, as Carnes and the crew made their appearance, the rest of the crew fell silent and followed suit, fully aware of their plans through the ship spirit.
A group of over two hundred individuals marched visibly, exiting Grove No 73, heading straight towards Marineford, Marine headquarters.
Simultaneously, at the Marineford, renowned and powerful Marines from across the world had assembled here.
Every force fighting in the name of justice had been gathered at the Marine headquarters, preparing for the imminent war.
Meanwhile, in the Great Undersea Prison, Impel Down, two armed guards patrolled and chatted on the sixth floor.
"It's not good, the war is about to start, and now I'm so nervous that my hands are shaking!"
The other guard disagreed, "Why are you nervous? The war isn't happening here, and besides, Fire Fist Ace has already been escorted to Marineford. There's nothing to worry about."
But the frightened guard didn't agree. "That's one of the Four Emperors, Whitebeard, the strongest man in the world!"
Unconcerned, his companion responded confidently, "So what? Whitebeard may be an emperor and strongest man in the sea but we also have the Fleet Admiral and Admirals on our side,
The final victory will definitely be ours!!"
The nervous guard lowered his head in fear, but then expressed sorrow for Vice Admiral Tsuru, who had been killed by a notorious pirate with no reputation.
The other guard corrected him, stating, "That's no ordinary pirate! He is the captain of the Gale Emperor Pirates, Carnes, who has a bounty of 1,093,000,000 Berries!"
"And in terms of fame and power, he's unmatched in the worst generation!"
Upon hearing this, the other guard clenched his weapon and said viciously,
"One day, he will pay the price for his evil deeds, and he will be imprisoned here, on the sixth floor of this prison!"
Two guards then walked down the hall of the prison chatting.
Unbeknownst to them, deep within the innermost prison cell, a burly and powerful man had been listening intently to the names "Gale Emperor" and "Carnes" mentioned by the guards.
He opened his eyes suddenly, exuding a suffocating aura as he clasped his arms around his chest.
His eyes shifted slightly as he stared at the backs of the departing guards.
A low, hoarse voice escaped from his lips, "The Gale Emperor... Carnes?"
