In the world of One Piece, the big shots enjoy luxurious life, and Lucifer also believe that such a life is wonderful. After all, with his newfound strength, it wouldn't harm to enjoy a life of luxury. In his previous life, such a life was only a fantasy.
"Please have a seat, let's eat together," Lucifer said as he gestured for Cavendish to join him. A beautiful maid stood next to them, ready to serve.
As they ate, Lucifer couldn't help but ask about the situation on the island. "Have there been any updates regarding the treasure?"
Cavendish shook his head and replied, "No, despite numerous pirate groups searching for almost a month, Crescent Island has been turned upside down, yet no clues have been found."
Cavendish had arrived on the island a month earlier than Lucifer. In the past month, pirate groups had continuously arrived on Crescent Island, tirelessly searching for the treasure. Unfortunately, their efforts had resulted in many deaths, with over 20 pirate groups perishing due to their lack of strength.
"Recently, there have been rumors circulating that the treasure might be fake news, and several pirate groups are planning to leave," Cavendish added.
"Is that so? It seems there's no need for me to wait any longer," Lucifer remarked.
Over time, news of Captain John's treasure being fake has been circulating among pirates . Since the pirates couldn't find the treasure, they would naturally leave.
However, Lucifer had not come to Crescent Island for the treasure. Now that he knew the pirates were departing and wouldn't return, he could proceed with his plans.
...
On the western shore of Crescent Island, a pirate ship was docked, its flag fluttering in the wind. The flag featured a smiling face with bared teeth and a diagonal black line cutting through it. This symbol belonged to Don Quixote Doflamingo, one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea, representing Heavenly Yaksha.
"Hey, Captain, are we really going to attack them?" Cavendish hesitated, standing behind Lucifer.
In the first half of the Grand Line, the warlord's influence was significant. Even though Doflamingo's stronghold is new in the New World, his reach extended to the first half of the Grand Line. Most pirates who dared to challenge Doflamingo didn't end well.
"Why? Are you scared?" Lucifer calmly smiled.
"Afraid? Impossible! How could I be scared? Are you joking?" Cavendish vehemently shook his head, feeling as though his pride had been questioned. He was a brave individual, and his strength alone surpassed that of many. He envied the warlords but was never afraid of them.
Cavendish simply believed there was no need to provoke Doflamingo. After all, there were no treasures on the island, and they had no conflicts with the Donquixote Family. He couldn't understand why Lucifer chose to make a move on them. Did they have some sort of grudge?
Little did Cavendish know that Lucifer was killing pirates to earn kill points, and the Donquixote Family happened to be a convenient target.
"Who are you? This is the Donquixote Family's territory. Back off immediately!" Several pirate soldiers scolded Lucifer and Cavendish as they appeared.
"The foot soldiers are all yours," Lucifer calmly commanded.
"Understood," Cavendish transformed into a gust of wind and rushed forward.
The gust of wind flashed , leaving a trail of blood in its path. More than a dozen pirates were stabbed in the chest, falling lifeless to the ground.
"Enemy attack! Enemy attack!" The pirates shouted, desperately trying to find their attacker or alert their lord.
"Damn it! Where are they?" one of the pirates cursed.
"You dare to attack the Donquixote Family? You're dead!"
However, the pirates couldn't locate Cavendish, let alone make a counterattack.
Suddenly, a void slash was released from the pirate ship, it reached Cavendish in an instant. With a loud clash and sparks sent flying in all directions ,Cavendish deflected the slash, leaving two sword marks on the ground.
A figure swiftly descended from the air, meeting Cavendish head-on. Both swordsmen displayed incredible speed, exchanging dozens of blows in an instant before finally separating.
Before Lucifer stood Diamante, one of Doflamingo's top subordinates. Diamante was over 5 meters tall, wearing a fur-brimmed hat, and displaying tribal markings on his face. Behind him are Buffalo and Baby 5.
"You two dare to challenge us? Do you have any idea who you just killed?" Diamante sneered, raising his long sword and pointing it first at Cavendish, then at Lucifer.
