Seeing this, Enel felt a sense of déjà vu. Why did it seem like he'd seen something similar before?
After Luffy had closed his eyes and dodged multiple attacks from Enel, he finally opened them, looked at Enel, and smiled. "Thanks for helping me master Observation Haki!"
Enel's expression darkened. Was he serious? Had these two teamed up to take him down?
Luffy took a battle stance and announced, "A new battle begins!"
With that, Luffy charged at Enel.
Kai, observing from the sidelines, shook his head. Given Luffy's current mastery of Haki, Enel's defeat was inevitable. Without the Thunder-Thunder Fruit's effectiveness, Enel's attack methods were insufficient to challenge Luffy.
Kai sighed, reflecting, "Enel, the so-called experience monster, is struggling against just two people. He can't handle it at all!"
At that moment, Kai noticed several presences approaching.
Sanji leaped out from the bushes and spotted Kai sipping tea and Zoro lying on the ground. He approached, curious. "Kai, what happened to Green Algae Head?"
Kai replied, "He got beaten by an experience monster. It's nothing serious. Just needs some rest."
Sanji nodded and turned his attention to the battle between Luffy and Enel. "Is that the so-called god?"
"Yep."
Sanji frowned. "Seems like this god isn't so great. Luffy's giving him a hard time. How could Green Algae Head lose to such an opponent? What a disgrace!"
Kai gave Sanji a bemused look. "You're quite bold, Sanji!"
In the original story, Sanji and Zoro had been quickly defeated by Enel, unable to resist his power. Despite their increased strength now, they would still struggle against Enel's Thunder-Thunder Fruit.
"Since Luffy's got it handled, I won't interfere," Sanji said calmly.
Kai waved his hand, conjuring a chair.
Admiring the ease with which Kai performed his magic, Sanji sat down. Kai was somewhat exasperated by Sanji's behavior. If he had to deal with Usopp and Chopper too, he'd need to be ready for more of this!
"Hey! Kai, Sanji!"
A voice called from a distance. Nami and Robin came running towards them.
Sanji's eyes lit up with affection as he stood and greeted them. "Miss Nami, Miss Robin! We're over here!"
Kai waved again, and four more chairs appeared on the ground. He preferred to get it all done in one go to avoid having to do it again if Usopp and Chopper showed up.
As Nami and Robin arrived, they looked at Kai and Sanji with curiosity. "What are you doing here?"
"Just having some tea. Is that not obvious?" Kai replied casually.
Nami pointed to Zoro. "What about him?"
"Oh, Green Algae Head got knocked out," Sanji said, seizing the chance to poke fun at Zoro.
"Alright, let's sit down, have some tea, and watch the fight between Luffy and Enel!" Kai added. "If Enel's lightning is too bright, I have some sunglasses here."
With a thought, several pairs of sunglasses appeared on the table. They were all one size!
"Sounds good!" Robin chuckled.
Everyone settled down to watch Luffy and Enel's fight, which was starting to resemble a circus act.
After a while, Enel, battered and on the verge of defeat, was struggling, while Luffy, though wounded, was faring much better due to his superior physical endurance.
Luffy, a master of resilience, delivered a powerful punch, sending Enel flying backward. Luffy then twisted his arm behind him and shouted, "Rubber...boomerang!"
The mighty blow crushed Enel's chest and dented his entire body.
Enel flew back like a meteor, blood spurting as he lost consciousness.
Enel was defeated!
With all enemies on the island vanquished, the process had seemed almost effortless. Apart from a few injuries, everyone was relatively unharmed.
Kai stood and walked towards Enel's fallen body, ready to conduct an experiment. Nami and the others followed him.
Kai approached Enel, waved his hand, and a large basket of assorted fruits appeared, with apples and pineapples prominently featured.
"Kai, did you prepare these fruits because you knew I'd be tired from the fight? You're so considerate!" Luffy exclaimed as he reached for the fruit.
Kai suddenly remembered that Luffy once devoured an entire basket of fruit in one go. Reacting quickly, he appeared in front of Luffy and kicked him away, sending him tumbling meters.
"Hey! Kai, what's the big idea?" Luffy protested.
"I'm using these first. If you want some later, I'll give them to you," Kai said firmly.
"Using them for what? What's your plan, Kai?" Nami asked, intrigued. The others looked on in curiosity.
"You'll find out soon enough!" Kai said with a mysterious grin.
Kai crouched by Enel, grasped his neck, and crushed it, extinguishing the last vestiges of life from him.
The group watched with mild curiosity as Kai performed his experiment.
Kai returned to the basket of fruit and observed the contents. Within a minute, one pineapple began to change, its color shifting from yellow to blue with lightning stripes, and its shape subtly altering.
Kai's face lit up with satisfaction. "It's done!"
