Chapter 216: Simon Base Assualt (10)

Ben and Marianne flew towards the center of the base. Marianne was riding a giant green bird. She had used her paint to make friends with it. Ben thought that was a very useful ability. 

There was a large tower in the middle of the base with a balcony. The tall, thin building rises defiantly into the sky. There were multiple windows on the tower. It was shaped like a rocket. 

"Marianne lets go to that balcony," Ben asked. Marianne nodded. They both flew up and arrived at the balcony. There they saw Simon drinking a cup of tea. He looked calm. He took a sip from his cup and put it down. 

"You are finally here," Simon said. 

"We are here to defeat you," Marianne said.

"Silence, little people should not be talking," Simon said. 

"Demon Beam," Ben said as he used his one hand to fire a dark energy beam at Simon. "You don't talk to her like that," Ben firmly said. Marianne smiled. 

The beam went through Simon as he turned into papers. He formed back into a human. "You will be the perfect food for him," Simon said. 

Ben flew towards him and attempted to kick this chest. Simon turned into paper and jumped back. He reformed back into his human form. "To Shushibaruba," Ben said. 

"So you know about him," Simon said and added, "I can't let you live now." 

"Sefer Ha-Lahav, Execution," Simon said as he threw paper at Ben. The paper got near Ben and ignited into intense flames. Ben crossed his arm to protect himself and flew out. 

"That was close," Ben muttered. Simon created wings on his back and started to flap them. He flew towards Ben and tried to kick his face. Ben dodged the attack. Ben then roundhouse kicked Simon however, turning that part of the body into paper absorbed the attack. He smiled at Ben. 

"Sefer Ha-Barak, Execution," Simon said he changed the markings on the paper. He threw the paper at Ben. A lighting bolt was formed from the paper and it hit Ben. Ben took the blow and was stunned for a second. He dropped down however quickly regained control. 

Marianne got her paint pallet out. She dipped the brush in yellow paint and threw it at Simon. "Laughter Yellow," Marianne said. The paint hit Simon`s hands and body. He looked annoyed. He transformed his hand into paper and threw the yellow painted paper at Marianne. "Sefer Ha-Lahav, Execution," Simon said. Marianne moved however the paper hit her. 

However the paper did not ignite. Simon looked confused. He thought why did the paper not ignite. At the moment Ben rushed up. "Demon Blast," Ben said as he used his two hands to fire a beam. Simon smiled. He tried to transform into paper, however the part of the body with the yellow paint did not change. The beams hit Simon. He stumbled back. 

"This yellow paint," Simon said, as touched the paint. 

Ben flew down and punched the yellow paint part of the body. Simon stumbled back again. "Demon Fist," Ben said as he channeled his energy into his fist and punched Simon in the same place. 

He flinched in pain. Simon was unable to transform again. He gritted his teeth. "Sefer Ha-Tufan,Execution," Simon said as he created paper and threw it at Ben. The paper marking created a strong tornado. Ben flew up and just missed the tornado. However the tornado kept going and Marianne was caught up. 

Marianne was flung from the bird and went flying down. She screamed. "Marianne," Ben said as he went flying down. Ben swooped in and caught her. "I got you," Ben said. 

Marianne looked up and smiled. "Thank you," Marianne replied.

"No need to thank me," Ben said as he flew back up to the balcony. They both saw Simon. He had used a cloth to wipe the yellow paint. 

"You both will pay for this," Simon said. 

Ben put Marianne down. "One thing I have not figured out is why you want Shushibaruba? I know you want to for world domination however there are other things you can use," Ben said. 

"Fuhahaha," Simon laughed.

"That is for me to know and once I defeat you will know," Simon added.

"Well, if you think us being food for Shushibaruba will make it stronger than…No, you don't want to feed it to make it stronger. You want to feed it devil fruits to control it," Ben said.

"Fuhahaha," Simon laughed again. "You are not stupid as you look," Simon said. 

"Sefer Ha-Aish Execution," Simon said as he created his wings again and flew up. He then fired a volley of paper towards Ben and Marianne on the balcony. The paper ignited into flames. 

"Demon Barrage," Ben said as he created small dark energy projectiles around his body and wings. He then launched it towards Simon and the barrage. The projectiles and flaming paper clashed with each other. They started exploding as they impacted each other.

Simon and Ben looked at each other. "You are strong. I am offered a position as a warlord of the sea. Become my subordinate," Simon offered.

Ben thought, this was probably the reason Cipher Pol. Luckily it does not seem like it was CP9 or CP0. That would have been an issue. Ben smiled. "In your dreams," Ben said. 

"Dreams, they are a wonderful thing," Simon said as he smiled.

"Too bad you will never see your one, as you will die here," Simon added. 

"Sefer Assiahm," Simon said as he created a series of pieces of paper with a marking and threw it at Ben in a volley. Ben flew right dodging the attack however Simon kept track and hit Ben. The paper struck him and Ben felt his body froze up. His wings, arms and legs stopped working. Ben went down and landed on the balcony. 

Simon flew down. "Paralysis is a strong ability," Simon said as he hovered over Ben. 

"It's time to end this," Simon said. Ben could not move. His hands, legs and arms were stuck. The paralysis was strong. He saw Simon raise his hand. He tried to move but failed. 

"Sefer Ha-Bahir," Simon said as he fired a piece of paper from his hand at Ben.

Marianne came running towards Ben. She dipped her paintbrush into her paint and threw on Ben where the paper was. Ben suddenly felt his strength come back. He moved out of the way in time and just missed the paper which exploded on the ground. 

Marianne then threw blue paint at Simon`s chest. "Sadness Blue," Marianne said. The blue paint made Simon tear up. 

"It's a tragedy you will die today," Simon said with tears and a smile on his face.

Simon aimed at Marianne. "Over here Simon," Ben said. "Demon Abyssal Lance," Ben added. He held his hand up and created a spear-shaped projection of dark energy. He then hurled it at high speed, at Simon's chest. Simon saw this however he was tearing up, therefore he was not able to dodge it and got hit in the chest. Simon got pierced by the attack. He spat blood from his mouth as he fell down to the balcony. 

"Thank you Marianne," Ben said. He patted her head.

"I am happy to help," Marianne said. Marianne smiled back as she enjoyed the pat. 

Simon got up. "You both will pay for this," Simon said. 

"I will not kill you, I will turn you into a robot to be my slave," Simon added.

"Robot?" Marianne said. 

"Fuhahaha," Simon laughed. 

"Your boyfriend will be my mindless robot and you will be my slave," Simon said.

Ben got angry. "You will not talk to her like that," Ben said. 

Marianne got angry. She did not like Ben being talked to like that however she was happy that he called him her boyfriend. She gave an angry smile. "We will take you down," Marianne said. 

Simon's wings expanded again. He looked at Ben and Marianne. Ben and Marianne looked back.
