Chapter 395: War Of Chaos!

After having a drink with Kaido, he returned to his crew, which was boring since he was probably the only person I'd consider a friend as he was far too similar to me; however, once he left, I returned to my training while ordering Mony to continue straight for Marineford. 

A few days later, we finally arrived at Marineford.

Walking out onto the balcony, I observed the fortification we had prepared for the war, and although I knew it would only slow the pirates down, it would buy us time. Because of the last war that destroyed Marineford, New Marineford was built like a fortress, so entering it should be next to impossible for even an Emperor of the Sea, not to mention the added defensive measures such as underwater mines, long-rage cannons, and over one-hundred warships, enough for multiple Buster Calls.

However, while I was confident in our fortifications, I wasn't stupid either; arguably, the strongest pirate that has ever graced the seas had declared war upon us, so I knew, even with all of these defensive measures, there was a good chance they would breaking into our fortress.

Yet such a thought caused me to smirk since inside these walls were nearly one hundred thousand of the Marine's strongest men; even if they managed to break through, that would only be after they were weakened from the numerous cannon fire and mines. Not to mention, we had a few secret weapons at our disposal in case things went worse than expected.

'Winning this war will be a monumental step toward achieving eternal justice.' Thought Akainu solemnly as he leaned on the railing and narrowed his eyes out to sea, waiting for the Frenzy Pirates to appear beyond the horizon.

"A speech will serve to increase the morale of our army, Fleet Admiral." Said Fujitora lightly as he, Kizaru, and Ryokugyu all walked out onto the balcony, standing a few feet behind Akainu, who grunted at his words.

"Bring me a transponder snail." Ordered Akainu as he turned and glanced at one of the two soldiers standing on either side of the balcony, prompting him to nod before running out of the room.

Once I received a transponder snail, I set it down on the railing and grabbed the microphone off its back before clearing my throat.

"ATTENTION MARINES!" Stated Akainu loudly as he spoke into the microphone, causing his voice to resound throughout the entirety of Marineford from numerous speakers.

Only when I sensed that everyone's attention was on me did I continue speaking.

"Our scouts have reported that the Frenzy pirates house a Grandfleet of nearly 1,000 ships! HOWEVER! We, the Marines, fight for justice no matter who our enemy may be! It doesn't matter whether our enemy is one or one billion! We will fight till we draw our final breath!" Stated Akainu fiercely as he clenched his fist before thrusting it into the sky, his words causing the tens of thousands of marines inhabiting Marineford to roar loudly.

"With wills of justice, we will defeat the infamous Frenzy Pirates and their Grandfleet before ushering in a new era, one where Marines reign supreme! One where pirates and criminals cower in fear at the mere mention of us! One where the world is eternal peace!" Yelled Akainu loudly, causing Marineford to subtly tremble from the aggressive roars of eager Marines.

"TODAY MARKS NOT ONLY THE DEATH OF THE FRENZY PIRATES BUT THE DEATH OF THE GREAT PIRATE ERA!" Added Akainu while the cheers and roars down below reached an all-time high.

Listening to my soldiers down below, I shut down the transponder snail and handed it back to the soldier, yet, for seemingly no reason, the clouds above were suddenly dispersed, revealing the bright, sunny sky as if the world was basking us in its protection. However, following the sudden emergence of the sun came the arrival of that dreadful haki.

It washed throughout all of Marineford, and although no one was knocked unconscious, now that I wasn't sensing the faint traces from far away, I couldn't help but gulp at how powerful it truly was. I felt my whole body go stiff while sweat trailed down my face as I felt that monstrous haki loom over Marineford.

"This is… Something alright." Muttered Kizaru with an ugly expression as he raised his head while Fujitora and Ryokugyu nodded in agreement.

"H-How can someone even get this strong?" Asked Ryokugyu in slight fear and confusion as he nervously gulped while staring at the sky.

Shaking my head, I took a deep breath to calm myself down, though when I opened my eyes, I grunted in annoyance as I looked at the state of my men; nearly all one hundred thousand were petrified from the haki looming over us.

'Tsk, that was a pointless speech.' Muttered Kaido with a frown as he scoffed before raising his head, gazing out at sea, only to see the faint silhouette of Pandemonium appearing from beyond the Horizon.

"THE FRENZY PIRATES! THEY HAVE ARRIVED!! DO NOT HESITATE TO FIRE UPON THEM!" Yelled Akainu loudly, his words awakening everyone from their stupor as sirens began to resound throughout Marineford.

With my words, our defensive measures were finally put to work as I heard cannon fire resound non-stop, yet they were pointless against Pandemonium; however, our target was never the Frenzy Pirates directly; it was their Grandfleet. Unfortunately, every single cannonball came to an immediate halt in the air before they could ever reach our target.

"Tsk, PREPARE FOR IMPACT!" Stated Akainu, his words slightly surprising everyone, only for their eyes to widen as they watched thousands of cannonballs heading right for them with immense speed.

Punching the air, I launched an enlarged fist of molten lava, catching multiple cannonballs while they melted in my arm; as for the remaining cannonballs, the wall blocked them all.

"That could've gone better." "It also could've gone worse." Said Kizaru and Fujitora, respectively, as they stood beside each other, only for Akainu to grunt in annoyance.

"Hmph, go and man your stations!" Ordered Akainu with a frown, his words causing the three Admirals to nod as they leaped forward, landing atop the tallest wall while observing the incoming Frenzy Pirates.

Although cannonballs didn't work, we continued firing upon them anyway while the many ships slowly sailed towards them; however, they weren't true ships and were instead filled to the brim with explosives. Once they got close to the Grand fleet, they would erupt into an explosion, one that would hopefully take a few ships with it; such action was highly costly, but it was well worth it if they succeeded in their goal.

However, before they could even get halfway there, the closest suddenly exploded, followed by the next one, then one after that, and so on, all in rapid succession.

"Tsk, Daiquiri." Muttered Akainu in slight anger as he narrowed his eyes at Trenza, who effortlessly shot each ship with precision using her explosive ammunition.

Before I could execute my next order, I was forced to tilt my head to the side as a bullet whizzed right by me before smashing through a window and hitting a building, which promptly exploded.

Gritting my teeth, I eyed Daiquiri, only to see her giving me a wink before she continued firing upon the ship, causing me to clench my fist before I took a deep breath to calm my mind.

As the minutes passed by, the entire Grand fleet finally appeared from beyond the horizon, and such a sight caused me to sour, but I had already expected it, so I wasn't surprised; however, I was annoyed at how not even a single ship has been sunk yet. Though with the Admirals reinforcing the wall with their haki, I was confident we'd be able to stall them outside for a while; however, my confidence immediately began to wane when I sensed Chaos Kong's haki converge around his fist.

In a burst of strength, Kong punched the air, launching an incredibly powerful attack like no other that traversed through the air before colliding against the fortress, causing all of Marineford to shake violently.

'The wall… It won't hold!' Thought Akainu with an ugly expression as he sported various cracks forming throughout the wall, despite it having been reinforced with haki.

Just as I had thought, the wall didn't last long, and a massive hole, the size big enough to fit a giant, was broken through, allowing us to lay our eyes upon Pandemonium stepping onto land while the Grandfleet quickly caught up to them.

"Hahahaha, after two years, we finally meet each other again, Akainu!" Yelled Diddy loudly with a feral grin as he leaped off Pandemonium before landing atop the wall beside Fujitora, Ryokugyu, and Kizaru.

"Hmph, this is where you die, Kong!" Stated Ryokugyu sternly as he eyed Diddy, who glanced at him while baring his fangs.

"Heh, you're too weak for me; Mael will probably deal with you." Said Diddy with a grin as he leaped backward, dodging an attack from Ryokugyu while gracefully landing atop Mony.

"Hehehe, before the fun starts, let's bring some chaos! Charge!" Stated Diddy with a smirk as he glanced at Akainu before pointing towards the opening he had forcefully made, prompting Grand and Chala to lead the charge while the Grand fleet followed right behind.
