Chapter 17: This Script seems to be Wrong!

"Wait!!!"

A loud voice came from afar, calling out for everyone to stop. As Rex and the Straw Hat crews turned to look at the direction of the voice, they saw a ship...more like a giant raft is sailing towards their direction. Rex was able to instantly recognize these pirate group the moment he saw the pirate flag on it. Sure enough when he looked at the people on it, he saw Marshall D Teach and his crew were on top of the giant raft-looking like ship.

"Zehahaha!! I finally caught up on you, Mugiwara Luffy!" Laughed Teach, glad that he manages to catch up before the Straw Hat pirates go to Sky Island.

Other than Rex, Luffy, Zoro, and Nami, the rest of the people inside the Going Merry haven't seen Marshall D Teach before. They looked at the pursuer curiously.

"Who's that guy?" Asked Sanji.

Nami replied, "He is the one from the town in Jaya Island. Not sure what he wanted."

"We have come here to take your head which worth 100 Million Berry." Shouted Teach. "Surrender to us now!!"

Luffy was confused. He asked, "My head? Hey, what do you mean by '100 Million Berry'?"

"Oh, you haven't seen your wanted poster? No wonder. So, you don't know after all." Said Teach. As he watched the Mugiwara pirate's ship, he wondered why the area was a lot

darker than the usual sea. However, he didn't think too much about it.

He took out some bounty papers and showed it to the Straw Hat members. "Look! This is your bounty paper. There's a bounty worth 100 Million Berry on your head. Also, Pirate hunter Zoro you got 60 Million Berry on your head. Another one for Black Leg Sanji? Is he your crew too? He got 57 Million Berry on his head."

The trio who got some bounties on their head were so happy hearing the news. However, Sanji become downcast after knowing his bounty was a little low compared to Zoro's.

At the side, Rex watched the Blackbeard Pirates silently as he contemplated his choice. He was thinking of taking down these people right here right now. This is because this pirate group is the one who caused Ace to be imprisoned inside Impel Down, and eventually became the main cause of the Summit War.

However, Rex also hesitant to do so as it may cause a butterfly effect on the future even. Moreover, he wanted to see the gathering of powerful during the Summit War. if possible, he wanted to get himself involved in that war, and test out his strength against those that represents the power of the world.

'I will let you go for now.'

In the end, Rex decided to not act for now. There's still some time before the Summit War. 'Sorry Ace. I promise to save you during the Summit War. For now, just endure your subsequent fate.' Prayed Rex, hoping that Ace will survive the upcoming fight against Marshall D Teach.

"Now, prepare to die!!"

Marshall D Teach and his gang then sailed closer to the Straw Hat group in an attempt to catch Luffy and his group. At this time however, the water under the Going Merry suddenly bulged up, gradually pushing up the ship higher than the sea level.

Boom!!

The next second, the bulging water exploded and shot up like a shooting cannon towards the dark cloud up in the sky. The Going Merry ship who was positioned at the center of the knock up stream flew up high into the sky.

At the split second when the Going Merry left the sea below, Rex watched the Blackbeard Pirates ship turned into a wrecked ship, as it got split into several parts by the knock up stream. All of the crews on dropped into the sea water. Though that look miserable, Rex knew that they are not going to die by this mere wreckage.

"Waaaaa!! What is going on?"

"How is the ship able to sail vertically on the surface of the stream?"

The Straw Hat group was noisily commenting on the wonder of their current situation. As the ship is sailing vertically on the pillar of the stream, some of them become worried, while the other stayed calm. As for Luffy, he excitedly enjoyed the feeling of sailing towards the cloud.

At some point, the ship started to left the pillar of stream, causing the crews to feel worried. Fortunately, Nami advised them to unfurl the sail, and let the wind carry the ship along the pillar of knock up stream. This made the ship really fly on air, giving a great experience, and excitement to the crews riding on it.

Up in the sky, the the cloud reflected it's whiteness while it was in a very calm state, as if it was not moving at all. The clouds spread almost as vast as the ocean and the end point can hardly be seen.

Suddenly, the calm state changed, as something entered the cloud from below. Before long a ship shot out of the cloud, with some part of it got broken by the waters in the clouds. This ship is the Straw Hat Pirate's ship, Going Merry.

The ship dropped down and floated on the white sea of cloud. At this time the passengers on board of the ship experienced the feeling of having short breath, as the oxygen up on the cloud were so scarcely present. This caused their mobility to be influenced, and they moved somewhat sluggish.

As for Rex, he also felt it but not to the extent that it restricted his movement. He looked at the others and asked, "You guys alright?"

"Cough* cough*...so this is what is meant to have a short breath." Luffy tried his best to stand up while having a difficulty in breathing.

"Damn... Cough.." Zoro also tried to adjust his breathing to calm himself down. Then, he saw Rex was so calm without being affected by the same difficulty he faced. Is this guy a monster, or is he just faking it, thought Zoro.

Seeing Zoro looking at him, Rex smiled as if he know what he was thinking. He said, "I've been to Sky Island before."

"So that's why." Everyone nodded in understanding. Well, they didn't know that Rex was just telling a white lie.

"Hey guys. Look, look! Outside the ship!"

At this time Luffy shouted excitedly as he pointed outside the ship. Everyone looked outside, and saw the white sea of cloud. The whiteness caused everyone to be mesmerized by it and feel so lucky to have gone here up on this clouds.

"Woow! This place is soo white!!"

"We are really floating on top of cloud?" Asked Nami curiously. The same question echoed in the other Straw Hat crews. "How are we able to sail on top of this clouds?"

"Of course we can sail on it. It's just another water." Answered Luffy, as if it's a matter of fact.

"No no no. That's impossible!!" Denied the others. This is cloud we are talking about, not the sea below!

"Well, he is not entirely wrong." Said Rex. He added, "Welcome to the Sky Sea."

"Sky Sea?"

"The sea also exist on the sky?" Asked Usop, who just calmed down after experiencing the breathing difficulty. "In that case, this is my chance to swim in the sky!! Hahahah!"

"Hold on. Remember that you ate a Devil Fruit, you no longer able to swim in the sea." Warned Sanji.

"Oh that's right. Huh? Ah! Gyaaaah!!" As Usop contemplated his current self, he become even more panicked as he now understand that he could no longer able to swim.

"Oh, you want to swim?" Asked Rex.

"Of course I wanted to. But I ate that Devil Fruit! Damn it!"

"I see. Okay, come here."

"Huh!? Rex-san?"

"Just come here."

Usop then walked towards Rex, and Rex touched his shoulder. "Alright. It's good now. You can go swim now."

"... what do you mean by go to swim? Look I have the ability...huh?" Usop suddenly become shocked as he can no longer feel the Spring Spring ability in him.

"You mean this ability?" Rex flexed his right hand, and it changed into a spring hand.

"Spring Spring ability!!"

When everyone saw Rex wielding the power, they instantly got stunned.

"Rex-san, why do you have the Spring Spring ability?"

"Is it that you got a similar ability like Usop's ability?" Asked Luffy.

"That's not possible, right? I heard that there is no two Devil Fruit that offer the exact same ability. Could it be..." Sanji made his analysis and come to a conclusion, which also the same conclusion that everyone thought of. Rex-san has the power to steal other ability!

"Shh! Please keep it a secret."

"Woaahh!!" Everyone instantly gaped in amazement when they heard the confirmation.

"That's too cool! Amazing!!"

"That's really is powerful! Rex, you could take anyone's ability as you like." Said Luffy, looking at Rex with eyes full of admiration. "Hey, hey. Can you take Chopper's ability? I want to see his true form!"

The instant the idea was spoken, everyone's eyes fall on Chopper. All if them seems to be interested in seeing his real form before he got his Human Human ability. The look in their eyes caused Chopper to shiver instantly.

"..."

"Aaaahhhh!!"

Chopper finally could not take the sharp stares of curiosity, and dashed away.

"Hey! Don't run away!!"

"Nooo! Ahh! Ahh!"

"Catch him!"

All the boys, except Rex, run after Chopper to catch the unwilling target. Rex also wanted to see Chopper's real look but stopped the notion to join in. He said, "Sorry guys. I cannot take in more than one ability."

"Too bad, huh." The boys sighed as they stared at Chopper in disappointment.

"Damn it! Why are you guys looking at me?" Cursed Chopper.

"Well, I can return Usop's ability, and then I can take another one after that."

"Really?" Once again, sparkling eyes was directed at Chopper.

"Gyaaah!! Stop it! Stop it!" The human reindeer dashed away in fright.

"You guys, stop teasing him!" Scolded Nami. However, her eyes was telling otherwise as she looked full of curiosity at Chopper.

Boom!

At this time, they heard a loud sound from the distance. As they looked at the direction of the sound, they saw black smokes rising up in the distance.

"What happened?"

"Some kind of explosion? Is someone fighting over there?"

"Should we go take a look?" Suggested Luffy.

"Hey stop it. We are yet to be familiar with this place." Said Nami, stopping the eager Luffy.

"Eh? What's that?"

At this time, they saw a silhouette was running... it's more like gliding on the surface of the white cloud. It was a man in a rectangular horned mask. The man was speeding towards their direction, with a javelin ready in his arm. The instant he got close to the Going Merry, he suddenly jumped up onto the ship. Before he even landed, he is already in a fighting stance.

"Attacking?"

"He want to fight? Come."

The trio who have bounties on their heads also took a fighting stance, and readied themselves to face the intruder. However, to their amazement, their movement was somewhat restricted, and the intruder easily knocked them down.

"Ufgh!!"

"Gah!"

"...!"

The three of them laid in the floor in just a few minutes. After defeating them, the attacker didn't stop and continued towards Rex. He used his javelin as a staf and strike it down onto Rex.

Chop!

Before the javelin hit Rex, the attacker suddenly saw that Rex vanished right in front of him. Before he could be shocked about the sudden changes, he suddenly felt a great pain from the back of his neck. In the next seconds, his vision blurred, and he fell unconscious on the floor.

"That's enough! I won't let you go around attacking every people that come to visit this Sky Sea...huh!!??"

A loud shout echoed from the distance sky, but suddenly turned into shock. A man who is in a fighting suit, and riding a giant bird dived down from the sky. However, he temporarily stopped mid air as he saw the intruder has been subdued by Rex.
