One Piece: A New Beginning

"Hey Darren, are you serious?, there's no way you think the Yuki-Yuki no Mi holds a candle to aokiji's ice devil fruit", a kid in a school uniform said laughing.

"Of course, The Yuki-Yuki no Mi is literally the same thing as aokiji's devil fruit, their both ice related", "even if their both ice, aokiji is way stronger and better at using it than Monet".

"Duh you dumbass, Monet is a retard, she wasted the potential of the Yuki-Yuki no Mi, if I had her powers that devil fruit would be on par and even beat aokiji's devil fruit".

Darren said with a smug, "I'm not sure about that, what are her abilities anyway?, I don't even know cause she's so irrelevant hahah". After the kid said that the two other kids listening also laughed.

"Yo jake, it's not like I even like Monet so it don't even matter what you say, but I'm sticking to my opinion".

"But Darren, forget One piece are you good bro?, you have been going to the hospital quite a lot recently", Jake said concerned.

"Yeah I'm good, just my stomach hurts alot recently, it been ongoing for like 2 months now" Darren said with a face saying it is what it is.

"Ok just tell me if it's anything serious".

"Nah don't worry the doctor told me and my mum it's just kidney stones".

"Hopefully it's just that" Jake said, "yeah me too, I don't want to miss the World Cup upcoming this year". Darren said as he remembered that this would be Messi and Ronaldo's final chance.

"Who you got?" Jake asked as he helped Darren walk to their next class.

"Messi is my favourite player, so I hope he wins" Darren replied.

"Yeah man that 2014 World Cup was ass, Higuain that absolute fucker of a 9, he sold Messi that World Cup" Jake said although he was a Ronaldo fan.

"Haha, Yeah he was so bad, although we both only watched the highlights of that World Cup lol" they both laughed as they arrived at their final lesson for the day.

Sitting down, Darren looked at his science book and wandered off, the teacher started the lesson and after an hour and 30 minutes the class was dismissed.

Jake met Darren at the door as they both walked to Darren's car.

"Hello dear" his mom greeted him with a smile.

"Hello mom" Darren smiled, "hello auntie" Jake said.

Darren mom was black and his dad was white, "auntie, I heard you booked tickets to go watch the World Cup upcoming in a month" Jake said as he sat down.

"Yes honey, me, my husband and Darren are gonna watch it live".

"Darren pleaded with us since he said it would be Messi's last World Cup".

Jake gave Darren a sneaky thumbs up as they both smiled at each other, then Darren's mom drove off as both Jake and Darren lived in the same neighbourhood.

As the dropped of Jake, both Daren and his mom decide to go and order some McDonald's.

They soon arrived with them ordering a Big Mac and fries, they ate in and then proceeded back home.

"Haah, finally I can play some fifa, Jake better hop on", Darren then turned on his ps5 and created a party to wait for Jake.

After 20 minutes of hell Jake joined, "Jake why the fuck do you always take so long", "haha, I just be on the phone bro watching anime".

"Anyways gang, we need to get to div 1 today, we keep getting relegated to dub 3!".

"I know for some reason we can't get passed div 2" Jake replied.

"Nah but today we deffo will" Darren said confidently.

Darren and Jake both then proceeded to play until 11 as Darren's mom forced him to turn off his ps5.

"My mum's forcing me Jake, so I'll speak to you tomorrow", "ok see you".

"See you".

Darren then tucked himself in bed as he turned off his light staring at the ceiling, "atleast we made it to div 1 today", Darren smiled

He then turned his body to the side as he drifted off to bed.

But before he could sleep he felt a sharp pain again, he thought it was the usual but it felt like pain never before, so he struggled to get up but was bed bound.

Darren's heart sank as he thought 'I'm a going to die?', panicked he tried everything but the pain kept getting was until his eyes felt blurry.

He drifted in an out of consciousness, he tried to scream, call out for help, but his voice seemed nonexistent.

Helpless, he laid there as his eye felt heavy and they slowly closed.

'Guess that's it'.

A ray of sun Hit Darren's eyes.

"Huh?", he got up slowly as he looked around the hut he was in.

"What the fuck?!, I swear I just died?" Darren puzzled got up and looked around, as he looked around he felt something hit his leg.

Looking down he saw a package, he picked it up and open it, his eyes widened unbelievably wide.

"What, is this the Yuki-Yuki no Mi?" Shocked he suspiciously looked around and decided to go outside.

He looked around at it looked familiar, "no way I reincarnated into the One Piece world?!, and this is Fishman Island?!".

He ran back inside his hut as he looked at the broken mirror on the floor and saw a child like face no older than 10, he had dark pink hair with a slight shade of purple at the front of the left side hair, his left eye was blue and his right eye was green and his stature was around 4'11.

"Damn, I'm shorter than when I actually was 10" he then put his attention back on to the Yuki-Yuki no Mi and without hesitation he ate it.

"I don't care if there's a weakness to water, devil fruits are cool especially since this is my favourite".

'But I have a feeling I should test that out, because why would the Yuki-Yuki no Mi be in a package next to me?'.

'It must be a gift from the gods, hahaha what I'm a kidding' he then continued manically laughing.
