Chapter 04 - Thriller Bark 01

[Chapter Size: 1200 Words]

Third Person POV.

Triangle Florian (Thriller Bark), The first half of the Grand Line.

...

...

In Thriller Bark, specifically on one of the coasts of the ghost ship, everything seemed normal until an object fell like a meteor causing a small explosion.

*BOOM!*

The explosion wasn't very big, but some zombies that were scavenging the area immediately went to the site wanting to know what was happening.

"HEY, what is this? An enemy attack?" said a man with rotting flesh and a goofy face, approaching the edge of the island where the explosion occurred.

"Strange, there are no ships nearby..." said another, searching for something in the sea.

"It's hard to see who shot with this fog..." argued a third.

"You're looking the wrong way..." said a new voice directly from within that smoke on the ground. As the trio of zombies approached and were looking at the sea next to the smoke, they ignored the debris to try and see the enemy.

The zombies quickly got scared by this voice and immediately looked at a figure emerging from the smoke.

"There's no cannonball or any ship, just me..." The giant skeleton, almost 3 meters tall with an evil expression, emerged from that smoke in front of the zombies.

This made them immediately jump scared.

"WHAT?! A skeleton!"

"Monster!"

"Run!"

"But we are zombies too..."

"Yeah, why should we be afraid of a skeleton?"

"That's true, I almost got scared here..."

"Who are you...hm?!"

Before the last zombie in the group could finish his sentence, he was frozen along with the others. A cold fog emanated from Brook's feet and froze the entire area within 20 meters.

Brook looked at the ice sculptures with disdain, thinking how easy it was to deal with these things Moria created. He turned his attention to the island and continued walking, passing by the zombies frozen in ice.

'The power of my underworld ice is at a degree where I can even mimic Kuzan, but nothing exaggerated, just a small area of a few tens of meters.' Brook thought, still recognizing his superior strength to the original Brook and was satisfied with his powers.

He continued walking through the haunted forest. When he saw some zombie approaching, they noticed the skeleton and tried to run away from him in fear of seeing a walking skeleton even though they were zombies, they still carried the personality of the shadow. But they couldn't escape from Brook, as they always ended up being frozen without being able to react.

"They run away from me because I am a skeleton, but they are all zombies, it doesn't make sense..." Brook murmured about the behavior of these weird beings.

Brook continued his path until a huge shadow took the initiative to approach him. It was a huge dog with 3 heads, looking at Brook with saliva in its mouth since the user of the Yomi-Yomi no Mi was a tasty bone for the zombie animal.

"Cerberus..." Brook said, not caring as the dog growled at him and looked at him as prey with desires.

Brook thought for a moment, not wanting to end the fight easily just by freezing, he drew his sword which was still the blade of old Brook's cane. Although the current Brook did not like the weapon, it was the only thing he could use at the moment, so he decided to test his fencing skills here with a real opponent.

He drew the blade and took a combat stance. Cerberus, not liking that the skeleton was so calm while pointing his sword at him, immediately jumped on him to sink his teeth into those delicious bones.

But the next moment, Brook disappeared.

"SORU!"

A moment later, Brook was behind Cerberus, who was confused. Before he could start splitting in half from the

middle head to the end of the body.

"AUUUU!!!" The three heads wailed, but they couldn't feel pain since they were zombies. They just got surprised trying to orient themselves now that they were split in two. Before the animal could continue crying with its heads, Brook froze it, and the place became silent again.

"This is too easy, is there no challenge on this island before I get to Moria?" Brook murmured as he continued walking towards the castle in the middle of the island, feeling somewhat unsatisfied.

Brook didn't take long to reach the front of Moria's castle a few minutes later, leaving his path with countless frozen zombies.

'We are finally here...' He thought and began to walk towards the entrance. He walked up to the door and froze it before shattering it into pieces with movements of his sword.

*BOOM!*

As Brook blasted the door, inside the castle there was a cheerful atmosphere in a dining room, but the sudden explosion immediately stunned them.

"Hm?! What is this explosion?" A huge man, happily eating his food at the head of the dining table, immediately stopped with the explosive noise coming from somewhere below. This was Moria.

"Another mess? Must be some zombie making a mess..." said a young girl surrounded by ghosts in her chair, known as the ghost girl, Perona.

"I hope so..." An invisible man while lifting his cutlery murmured. He was Absalom, who had a fruit that allowed him to become invisible.

"What a nuisance, these zombies are always weird..." Hogback said dissatisfied, he was the man who assembled most of the zombies for Moria.

"You! Go see who is causing trouble and expel them from the castle!" Moria, as the captain of Thriller Bark, said to a specific zombie beside the room, dressed in traditional Wano clothes and a sword on his waist. This was none other than the body of Shimotsuki Ryuma, with Brook's shadow.

"Yes, but I hope it's the last time, damn Shichibukai, next time I will kill you..." He replied in a dark voice and began to leave the room with the sound of his Wano sandals.

"That guy has become so strange in recent years..." Perona murmured as she saw the samurai walking away from them. He wasn't like this before, but suddenly changed, began to be quite disrespectful to Moria and even threatened him.

"It's true, he used to talk like a goof and laugh strangely like the owner of his shadow, but now he behaves ruthlessly and it even gives me chills..." Hogback said thoughtfully.

"It doesn't matter, he is part of my army of zombies, the most powerful army in the world!" Moria declared with determination, and the others ended up nodding in agreement.

Meanwhile, at the entrance of the castle, a group of zombies that were in the castle were frozen in their positions in the middle of the entrance, most frozen expressing fear while trying to run from Brook, a common scene for the skeleton since he entered this ship.

*Footsteps*

Brook was looking at the effect of his ability called "absolute zero" that he himself developed, when he heard some sound of footsteps.

He heard footsteps approaching, then looked in that direction.

"I can feel my shadow... So he came to me, this makes things much easier." Brook said calmly, and he would have a smile at this moment if he had a human face.

Shimotsuki Ryuma appeared carrying his famous sword on his waist, while calmly approaching to face Brook.
