Showing Who's The Boss

Jhoemar stood confidently along with his two escort knights. They confronted Gabimaru, who stared at them intently without moving at all.

Jhoemar raised his sword and pointed it at Gabimaru while saying, "Beggar! I am Jhoemar Alfonse! I am the hero of Villatensia and also a candidate for the Ocean Apostles! You plebians should feel glad and thankful for me, the great Jhoemar, shall--- Just as he was about to finish, Gabimaru instantly shot dark projectiles at Jhoemar, who was irritated by his long speech.

Jhoemar instantly jumped above, seeing his two knights continuously deflecting the dark projectiles that Gabimaru shot.

After he landed on the ground, he stood elegantly while fixing his blonde hair and angrily said, "How dare you! Do you not know the basics of fighting!?" Jhoemar was enraged that his introduction had been interrupted.

Meanwhile, Gabimaru did not care and continuously shot dark projectiles at the two knights that kept on deflecting them.

"You bastard! Why do you keep on ignoring me?" Jhoemar yelled and instantly rushed toward Gabimaru's position.

[Warning: The hostility level of Jhoemar has increased to 100%]

Did his hostility level increase just because I ignored him? Are all humans petty like him?" Gabimaru asked through thought communication.

[Answer: I cannot guarantee since humans possess different personalities.]

I see. Well, the villagers were quite different too." Gabimaru responded and noticed that Jhoemar was in front of him and was about to swing his sword towards Gabimaru.

You can't dodge my attack, Keke! I have the precognition ability, which lets me see your future movements!" Jhoemar mumbled in his head, predicting with his precognition ability which direction Gabimaru might take to evade his attack.

But just as his sword came into contact with Gabimaru's face, his movements halted.

"Huh? What's happening? Why can't I move!?" Jhoemar blurted out, surprised that he couldn't move freely as he wished.

The two knights immediately ran sideways, cornering Gabimaru from different directions. While the villagers were in awe after seeing Jhoemar unable to move in front of Gabimaru.

[Analysis Complete: Displaying Data]

[Name: Jhoemar Alfonse]

[Title: Hero of Villatensia, Apostle Candidate]

[Age: 23]

[Level: 89]

[Race: Human - Male]

[Mana Energy: 272/470]

[Usable Skills: Eyes of Precognition, Speed Enhancement, Strength Enhancement]

Wow. He's too weak to be called a hero. He can't even be compared to Ganz." Gabimaru mumbled in his head while continuously releasing dark projectiles at the two knights and preventing Jhoemar's movements with his shadow binding skill.

"You plebian!" Jhoemar abruptly yelled, angered by the humiliation he had received.

Hey system. If I punch him right now, would he be able to survive?" Gabimaru asked through thought communication.

[Notice: Your powers have been concealed. Therefore, punching him in your current state can still make him unconscious.]

Well, as long as he doesn't die." Gabimaru responded while his left hand was placed on his waist and his right hand was on his chin. Completely carefree in spite of the situation he was in.

"What's going on? Why is he being immersed into something amidst the knights surrounding him?" Arthur asked while breathing heavily.

"I don't know. It seems he's completely thinking thoroughly about how he should fight them." Klaus said, staring at Gabimaru's calm posture.

"How much mana does he have to keep on shooting shadowless projectiles towards us!?" The knight uttered, while blocking the projectiles that Gabimaru continuously released.

"It just keeps on appearing around him and shooting towards us! The captain can't even move! That guy's shadow is connected to the captain's." The other knight yelled after observing Gabimaru.

"This bastard. Come on, Marco! Let's attack him together!" The knight yelled, while the other nodded.

And just as they were about to engage, a black, circular hole appeared below them. Without being able to react in time, they fell inside it and vanished along with the spatial wormholes that Gabimaru cast.

"Huh?" Jhoemar mumbled after seeing his knights vanish.

What just happened?" He wondered, inspecting his surroundings.

"You bastard! What did you do to my knights!?" Jhoemar yelled, completely infuriated, towards Gabimaru, who stood quietly in front of him.

"You mean them?" Gabimaru muttered, pointing at the sky.

As Jhoemar raised his head, two silhouettes were seen falling while shouting for their lives.

The villagers were astonished, while Jhoemar's eyes blurted out when he saw his knights falling from the sky.

"Captain! Help m--- *Baaam!*

Both of them landed in the same position where they vanished; their bodies were completely squashed, crushing them to their deaths. The full-plate armor they've worn was totally wrecked while their blood streamed and splashed all over the place.

"Kyaaaaah!" The villagers yelled in shock; they could not believe what just happened.

Arthur's jaw dropped, looking at the unrecognizable knight corpses.

"What the hell?" He muttered, completely surprised.

"Release me at once, you ugly beggar!" Jhoemar yelled while jolting his body. Attempting to escape from the mysterious shadow that bound his movements.

Ugly?" The villagers mumbled in their heads, unable to comprehend how Jhoemar was able to call such a handsome guy "ugly."

"Me? Ugly? I beg your pardon?" Gabimaru muttered.

Jhoemar sweated profusely, glancing at the villagers, who were staring at him intently.

They all knew that Jhoemar was envious of Gabimaru's princely features.

"Release me and fight me like a man!" Jhoemar uttered, challenging Gabimaru.

"Pfft!" Gabimaru chuckled, holding himself back from laughing at Jhoemar's nonsensical words.

"Why are you laughing!? I told you to fight me like a man! How dare you use sly tricks such as this!" Jhoemar stated, referring to Gabimaru's shadow binding skill.

"Hahahahahahaha!"

Gabimaru's laugh was so loud that it left everyone wondering. Why is he laughing?"

As soon as Gabimaru became silent, an intense pressurizing aura omitted from his body, instantly making the villagers faint.

Jhoemar's body shivered, horrified by the dense, pressurizing aura that Gabimaru had released.

"Sly tricks? How dare you, a human of an inferior race, call the skill of the demi-god of darkness sly? You really must want to die that badly." Gabimaru muttered, angered by Jhoemar's words.

Gabimaru's aura was so dense that it even escalated throughout the village. Suffocating the women who hid themselves in the underground chamber along with Ganz and the wolf king.

"What is this?" Amina stuttered, immediately fainting along with the other women beside her.

Ganz and the wolf king felt the ominous aura and immediately got out of the underground chamber.

"Why are you following me!?" Ganz bluntly asked in a loud tone.

"It's because I want to help you." The wolf king muttered, averting his eyes from Ganz.

Ganz stared at the wolf king intently and turned, "Fine." He mumbled and immediately went to where the aura was omitted.

"Phew." The wolf king let out a sigh of relief.

I can't tell him that I'm scared." The wolf king mumbled in his head and followed Ganz.

Meanwhile, Jhoemar's eyes began wavering. Gasping for air, unable to breathe properly due to the suffocating aura that Gabimaru had released.

[Warning: Mana energy is rapidly being released from Gabimaru's body.]

[Disabling aura leakage: stabilizing...]

Eh?" Gabimaru mumbled in his head after hearing the system's report.

[Aura has been successfully concealed.]

Why did you conceal my aura!? I was scaring the likes of this bastard in front of me!" Gabimaru grumbled through thought communication.

[Notice: All of the villagers within the village's vicinity have become unconscious.]

[Unable to deal with the ominous pressurizing aura you've omitted.]

Eh!? Can aura knock someone out!? Was it even possible?" Gabimaru responded through thought communication, surprised after knowing that auras can make people unconscious.

[Answer: Yes, it is possible to make them unconscious.]

[Depending on the individuals' willpower.]

I see. My bad, I forgot that there were villagers behind me." Gabimaru responded and smirked.

Meanwhile, Jhoemar could still not get out of the shadow-binding skill that bound his movements. After Gabimaru's aura was concealed, he was finally able to breathe. He was nearing his limits and was about to fall unconscious. But just then, luck saved him from being humiliated once again.

This guy is a monster. He spouted something about demi-gods. I'm sure he's also an apostle!" Jhoemar mumbled in his head and concluded that Gabimaru was an apostle.

But just as Gabimaru was about to do something, Ganz and the wolf king appeared behind him.

"Boss!" Ganz yelled, looking at Gabimaru intently. While the wolf king silently stood behind Ganz.

"Great timing! Here, eat this." Gabimaru said and threw away Jhoemar's body in front of Ganz and the wolf king.

"Eh?" Ganz and the wolf king mumbled, clueless as to why Gabimaru told them to eat the shivering human in front of them.

"Oh god! Please no! I haven't taken a bath in three days! I smell like shit and taste like horse feces!" Jhoemar uttered it loudly, convincing the two not to eat him.

Ganz instantly laughed, and just as he was about to say something, a loud roar occurred from the south.

"Holy shit." The wolf king muttered after seeing a large rock golem that was certainly inside the Tamashi forest's vicinity.

It was so big that it almost looked like a walking mountain.

Ganz, Jhoemar, and the wolf king were more shocked after seeing Gabimaru's joyful expression as he smiled brightly looking at the huge rock golem that kept on roaring.

"Wow. That boulder monster is so big! I want to ride him." Gabimaru uttered it loudly, amused by the rock golem's appearance.

While Jhoemar and the wolf king wondered in awe, Is he crazy?" Wearing shocked expressions as they kept staring at Gabimaru.
