Chapter 7 : First Night Out ?

It was 37:30 in the night, Zyle was waking up, and he had slept for over 12 hours. Zyle was finally refreshed and energized but since it was dark he decided to stay by the shelter. The flashlight he found provided some light and to his amazement, there were also two moons in the sky that night. If he had any lingering thoughts, he now knew for sure that he was indeed in a new world. The forest around him was dark so dark that not a spec of moonlight shone through making it look pitch black and ominous.

Zyle decided to take this time to strategize and practice his sword skills. The sword was wider than an average sword making it weigh 4kg and it also had a length of 4 feet. Before he only managed to swing the sword with both hands effectively in his previous fights because it felt too heavy. Although not perfect, he was now about to swing the sword with one hand since his strength had increased by 20 percent. He spent the first 5 hours practicing swinging the sword at the 8 basic angles, thrusting, and its variations. With one foot forward and the other foot right behind, He slashed straight downward, straight upward, from left to right, from right to left, diagonally down to right, diagonally down to the left, diagonally up the left, diagonally up to the right and then he would thrust the sword towards the end.

He would do this repeatedly trying different variations as he rotated his body a full 360 degrees. 5 hours had passed and he halted abruptly but not because he wanted to. The sound of him practicing and his outburst every time he would swing his sword seemed to be attracting unwanted attention. . Howling can be heard in the distance, the sounds of twigs cracking beneath the feet of the unknown and ever close, the sound of bushes can be heard rustling nearby. Zyle knew at his current level if he was to be attacked, he would surely perish. So he went back into the shelter, turned off the flashlight, and stayed seated quietly for a while until the noises stopped.

"Man, it sure is scary out here at night. I better make building a camp my main priority for now," said Zyle as he turned back on the flashlight and looked in the direction of the papers and pen that were still lying on the floor.

"Hey Obby, Out of curiosity, Approximately how big is this open field?" Zyle asked

"It's about 25 acres of open space "

"Wow, 25 acres of land, someone can probably build like 300 houses here and there will still be space, that's pretty awesome," said Zyle excitedly

" I have made a decision, starting tomorrow I will build a decent-sized cabin but first ill use those papers to draw a blueprint, and maybe fencing would also be a nice touch," said Zyle as he eagerly started jotting down with the pen.

With a bit of help from Obby, Zyle was about to draw out the blueprint of a large cabin and fencing that would go around it. Zyle got creative so he drew blueprints for a water barrel, a wagon with wooden wheels, a large wooden bucket, and a fishing rod. He decided he would make five water barrels, Two will be filled with clean water and the 3 water barrels will be filled with live fish. The wagon would be for pulling large quantities of herbs, fruits, and meat. The large wooden bucket would be used for carrying water, fish, or anyone else gains from one place quickly.

The fishing rod was obviously to catch fish at the river to bring back to camp. The fishing rod was the easiest out of the bunch. So he quickly rushed out of the shelter to group some long sticks and rush back in. He used the leftover Ropien vines, wrapped them, and strung them at the end of the stick. In the sewing kit, metallic treads Zyle used to place at the end of the Ropien vine and there were also some thick curved needles that were used as a hook. The rod was done, it was 45:25 and it was still nighttime. Realizing there was nothing else he could do till morning Zyle used this leisure time to have fun after all he was still a child.

"Maybe I can find a skilled blacksmith then I can persuade him or her to make my weapons, accessories, and armor. Perhaps they can also make me a cool headband to tie my hair back. I should probably come up with some designs" said Zyle as he eagerly started drawing and sketching.

Zyle drew a headband with a large metal hoop ring on each end. The purpose of those metal hoop rings is to be able to add small blades or kunai attached to them for multiple uses. The headband had a circle logo with a lighting design that looks like the roots of a tree flipped upside down. Next, he drew sleeveless armor with the same logo or rather the insignia with the upturned lighting and with a fitted look almost resembling a shinobi's armor.

Lastly, he drew a giant sword that he hoped to be able to wield one day. Besides the pointed end, the sword looked almost rectangular in shape. it was smooth but sharp on one part and the other part was also shaped but serrated with a darker color. It also had a dragon design going across the whole. The sword had 2 dark circles at its central top and bottom parts. The dark circle represents holes. One was near the base of the sword at the fuller and the other was a blade part near the point of the sword. To finish, it also had the lighting insignia on the guard of the blade right above the grip. It was a truly unique blade with an intricate design.

The time was 49:55, dawn was breaking and Zyle gathered his starter kit ( the backpack with the blueprints, the mixing bowl, the saw, the hatchet, one of the herbs, and the knife inside it). Zyle was now ready and eager to get to work.

"No time to waste, let's get moving Obby," said Zyle as he walked out of the tent
