Chapter-5. Mission Start

" Hello Miss Adriana, welcome to the secretarial department of Mavericks Entertainment. I hope you have a good time here," Mr.Simons politely shook her hand.

"Thank you sir. I'll try my best to fulfill my duties," Riana smiled.

As she was assigned to her seat, she learned from her colleague Stella that her job was basically to be an assistant to Mr. Simons, helping him arranging administrative and miscellaneous works.

After working for a whole day and realising that her job was limited to 49th floor,she thought inwardly,"That's far better than meeting the devil."

Working for over a fortnight in Mavericks made her close to her colleagues but Mr. Simons remained cold as ever.

He was strict in his orders, never tolerated a mistake and reassigned them till he got the perfect result.

As for the Devil, he rarely visits the company . All the work is handled by Mr. Simon's alone.

Settling in, Riana started her mission , collecting information regarding Miss. Vienna.

And Lily undoubtedly became her reliable source of information.

Turns out, Miss Vienna had a secret financial backer, some one with much political influence .

Lily had never seen him , but heard about him through the other assistant and makeup artists gossip.

Vienna would meet him every week privately and the place of their rendezvous changes accordingly.

She relayed all the information dutifully to Rick on phone.

"When do we take action?"

"Why are you so impatient? Let's plan carefully and do it slowly. Afterall, that man from FEDERATION is so treacherous and slippery," Rick's voice came from the phone.

"Well,this is one of the most boring missions I've ever recieved," Riana wailed.

"Heh... Chaos ensues wherever you are. May be this mission will be the same," Rick snickered.

" I'll be looking forward to it! " Riana gave an evil smile.

On this day, Riana was lost in work when she was summoned to Mr. Simon's office.

" The life assistant to Mr. Ivan is on a vacation. I see you are diligent in your works. You are now assigned to Mr. Ivan," he dropped a bomb.

"Yes, Ofcourse sir," Riana cursed inwardly.

And here she thought her life was boring.

"Mr. Ivan's itinerary in the following days is all written down in here. He will be joining the crew of " Justice "

tomorrow. You are to accompany Mr. Ivan and his agent. Your duties will be assigned by Miss. Elize , his agent. Now off you go, " he shooed her away.

Riana returned to her seat with a heavy heart.

" What's up? You look so down?" Stella enquired.

"Well, I've been assigned to Mr. Ivan ", Riana sighed.

"Wow! Congratulations! That's great," Stella was really happy for her.

'Let us hope for the best' Riana inwardly cheered for herself.
