Noble Emblem

A young Brave walked out of his village, gathered companions to his side, defeated the Great Demon King, became famous, then came back with beauties in hand! This was a legend that appears in the world of Seyrol every 200 years! Our protagonist, however, isn’t a Brave. Even so, for over a thousand years his figure has loomed throughout its history. Unwittingly, the name of the Red Priest began to resound throughout the world. Red Priest’s legend included extraordinary sword techniques and magic, erudite knowledge, and an almost prophetic ability to lead young Braves toward the proper path. People of the world think of him as a descendent of the ancient Golden Race which led to his omnipotence. In essence, however, this was just the characteristics of the profession known as ‘Noble’. A word from the fabulousest translator/editor on Earth which is me I took upon this translation/editing project for the same reason I started translating my first Chinese novel. There are just too many big ass gems buried in a deep cesspool. I've long guessed that Qidian stopped introducing good Chinese novels on this platform in order to give some breathing room for English (and other) originals, but I don't agree with such approach. From a reader's standpoint, it is such a shame that we don't even know how many brilliant works we are missing because of the language barrier. To be honest, I'm mainly copypasting from the site called Novelhi. It is a really good resource and their machine translation is the best I've seen so far, and they also translate up to the latest available chapter. Still, they have several issues. For some reason they always miss the last paragraph which make you can missout on a potentially very important information related to a story, and they also have parts where just a couple of words gets repeated for a whole paragraph and it actually replaces the original text. They also translate an ad together with a chapter which is immersion breaking. I'll be correcting the inherent sins of such MTL with manual editing and translation and I will also polish some rough edges so that the readers will have as much seemless reading experience as possible. You will definitely have a better time reading this than me for sure

If there wasn't enough information, one wouldn't be too knowledgeable no matter how long they lived. For example, even though Alice had lived for more than a hundred years, she could only learn about the things she had seen and heard in Bronze Drum City. Even if she was literate and could read books, in this magic-dominated world, the spread of knowledge was even slower than in the Middle Ages on Earth.

Alice, who had lived for more than a hundred years, couldn't have read more than twenty books. It wasn't that Alice didn't like reading, but that there were no books to read. She had collected all the books she could find.

In this world, except for a few organizations that were open to knowledge, most organizations and forces kept knowledge confidential. People who weren't in the organization or force had no way to access the knowledge they had. Even for his own people, if they didn't have enough contributions or status, they wouldn't be able to come into contact with important or core knowledge.

The lack of information sources meant that the spread of knowledge was extremely slow, so most people in this world didn't know a lot of information that they should know.

For example, after the elves reached the Legendary level, they had to return to the mother tree. Not just humans, even most elves didn't know about this, but fortunately, they still had the instinct to return to their roots.

And the reason why Beta knew this information was because the players found it out and then published it on the forum. The players had a profession that specialized in exploration. Although they weren't very strong in combat, more importantly, they could climb mountains and wade rivers, and they had the talent of eating any creature that was cut off.

These players were full of curiosity about all "information." Map development, historical investigation, biological research, and even magic decryption were all done with relish.

Not only did they sneak into the royal tomb of the elves, but they even combined history, biological evolution, and other clues to come to a conclusion … The beautiful elves and the ugly trolls were actually close relatives, and they shared a common ancestor.

This conclusion stunned all the players. And the players weren't a group that could hide things, so the natives all over the world soon learned about it. All of a sudden, the elves became the laughing stock of all races.

The elves were naturally furious, but they didn't dare to do anything to the Golden Sons. After all, the Golden Sons were immortal, and it would be a thankless task to offend the entire Golden Son community. Therefore, they vented all their anger on the player who exposed the news.

Again, the players weren't good at hiding things, and the Elves found out about that player. The Elven Royal Family sent a special force to hunt him down for more than a year. The player fell from Level 11 to Level 6. Then, they declared that they would kill this Golden Son until he left the main plane.

However, when things reached an extreme, they would move in the opposite direction. Originally, the majority of the players were just there to watch the show. In the end, the arrogant attitude of the Elves angered many players. Following which, many players volunteered to help this player resist the Elves' pursuit.

After paying the price of several master-level powerhouses and a legendary powerhouse's life, the Elves admitted defeat, and the pursuing troops silently retreated back to the Elven Forest.

Beta told Alice a lot of secrets about the elves, and the latter listened with her eyes wide open the whole time. She had never thought that there were so many interesting and dirty things in the elven race.

Very soon, Shirley and the others returned from shopping. In fact, shopping was just a side trip. Their real purpose was to go out and see if they could find any news about Amanda.

Following them was a middle-aged man who looked like a mercenary.

The man saluted as soon as he entered and said politely, "I'm Tony, a guard from the Merchant's Guild. The leader of the guild invites you to meet him. There's something important he wants to discuss with you. "

"The leader of the Merchant's Guild … is usually a commoner. Even if he's a noble, it can't be very high." Beta found it odd. "Logically speaking, he should be the one to meet me, not me."

The guard smiled. "The leader said that you might be willing to hear news about Amanda."

Beta's expression turned serious, and then his tone became cold. "Time and place!"

"Eight tonight, the Merchant's Guild. The leader will be waiting for you there."

After the mercenary left, Shirley said, "We didn't leave for long before the mercenary found us. He said that he has something important to discuss with you."

"Obviously, he knew as soon as we entered the city." Beta sat down and said, "He was waiting for us to come. It seems that they're prepared. Their target isn't Amanda at all, but us. Me, to be exact. "

Shirley was a bit worried. "Such a well-informed person must know who you are, but they still dared to capture Amanda and lure you to them. It seems that they're confident that they can keep you under control. "

"Indeed. They're not friendly." Beta thought for a moment. "But we can ask our allies. We might get some clues."

Joan Of Arc flew out of the window. About half an hour later, she came back with a letter. Betta opened it and read it for a while. Then he said, "Gajeel said that he didn't know the details, either. He only knew that a very powerful foreign force had entered the Merchant's Guild. Many nobles tried to intervene and see what was going on, but they all suffered losses. He advised us to leave. They're not easy to deal with. "

After saying that, Beta pointed his finger, and a small blue flame ignited on the tip of his finger, burning the letter into ashes.

"Then what do you plan to do?" Shirley asked.

Beta thought for a moment and said, "Of course I have to go to the banquet."

Emma shook her head and objected. "It's not worth it for a merchant."

Emma's face was full of worry. Beta smiled. "It's true that Amanda is a merchant, but she's both my subordinate and my friend. It's only reasonable that I go and see what's going on."

Alice said, "I don't think there's anything to be afraid of. You three are Masters, and we're Summoners. We even dared to break into the desert palace. Why should we be afraid of a small city? "

Emma shook her head. "But I keep feeling uneasy. It's as if something very scary is entrenched in this city."

Shirley nodded. "I feel the same. I'm a bit worried."

"We have to go." Beta patted the table and set the tone. "But we have to be prepared, in case they set up a trap and we don't know how to deal with it."

That night, Beta took Shirley to the Merchant's Guild. Hardly had they reached the entrance when the mercenary who showed up at noon led the way for them.

The Merchant's Guild had a lot of money, and everything was decorated lavishly in gold. Although it looked like a nouveau riche, one had to admit that the interior decoration was indeed shocking.

He went up to the second floor and entered the largest room. He saw Amanda sitting on a chair, and beside her sat a middle-aged man.

Amanda put on a bitter smile when she saw Beta. The middle-aged man stood up and bowed. "I'm Douglas, the chairman of the Merchant's Guild. I'm also Amanda's father. "

Amanda's face was filled with shame as she glared fiercely at her father.

"What's going on, Amanda?" Beta looked at the girl opposite him.

Shirley had been silent. Actually, she hadn't been since they entered.

Douglas coughed softly. "Please don't blame my daughter. I was the one who did this. I did this because my master wants to see you. "

"If he really has something to do, he should come see me himself." Beta's tone was even colder.

Just then, a pleasant voice came from the side. "That's because I couldn't find you. You really like to run around the world, Beta."

The voice was very familiar. Beta was startled. He looked to the right and saw a girl with long, fiery red hair walk out from the back of the room.

The girl's hair was very beautiful and bright. It looked like a burning flame.

After a few seconds of daze, Beta asked in surprise and delight, "Margaret?"

"Long time no see. It's been more than three hundred years." The girl blinked her red eyes and smiled. "You've changed a bit, but your overall appearance hasn't changed much. Is the woman next to you your wife? "

Shirley slightly trembled. "It's an honor to meet you, great Demigod."

Margaret seemed to be somewhat approving. "As expected of a divine creature. Lady Woking is truly generous to give you to Beta. But he is indeed worthy of you. "

Shirley bowed. "Thank you for the compliment, Lady."

Although it was just a newly born divine avatar, Shirley knew very well what a Demigod … represented.

The main plane didn't allow gods to appear. At most, it would be God's Descent or mental projection. That way, their strength would be greatly reduced. But Demigods were different. Experts who were half-human and half-god wouldn't be rejected by the laws of the main plane.

Demigods were almost invincible in the main plane, unless another Demigod showed up.

Margaret looked at Shirley. "I have something important to talk to Beta about. Can you leave for a moment?"

Shirley grabbed Beta's hand worriedly. Beta, however, said, "It's fine. You can leave first. Margaret is my friend."

After a moment of hesitation, Shirley and Amanda left the room together.

Beta looked at Margaret in front of her in a daze. Fire Dragon Queen Margaret, the strongest dragon, was also the mount of his cousin Shuke in the game.
