Where is Emily?

Ava was sitting on the bed holding a phone in her hand. Daniel left this phone with her so that he could contact Ava when he needed to. She heard the sound of rushing footsteps, she quickly hid the phone under the pillow and sat there staring out of the window.

"Honey, what would you like for dinner? I'll ask Mrs. Lee to make for you." Oliver came to the bedroom and asked with a warm smile.

Ava leaned on the bed but didn't say anything. She kept staring outside, her face looked dignified and gentle but there was an emptiness in her eyes. No one could tell looking at her what she was thinking at this moment. Ava's face has always been an open book to Oliver, he could tell by her slight frown, what was going on in her mind but these days she has shut herself in such a way that even Oliver couldn't see through her mind anymore.

Oliver sat down beside Ava carefully, he was already used to Ava's distant behavior. He gently stroked her hair and wondered what she was thinking when Ava spoke out.

"I'd like to go somewhere for a change." Ava turned her head and looked at Oliver.

Hearing Ava's voice Oliver felt comfort in his heart; he smiled widely and took her in his arm. Ava also didn't resist, she let him hold her.

Oliver asked in an excited tone, "Where do you want to go? I'll take you anywhere in the world you want to go."

"No, I want to go alone," Ava said in a light but decisive tone.

Oliver paused, his face immediately changed and he looked at Ava with worried eyes. He asked in a low and gentle tone, "Why do you have to go alone?"

Ava looked away and said, "I need some space right now. I need to think about everything. I hope you can give me some space."

Oliver silently stared at Ava, trying to figure out her mind. But she didn't give away anything. Oliver didn't like the idea of her going anywhere alone but he also knew if he forced her or make her do anything against her will, things might get worse between them. So Oliver had no other choice but to agree.

"OK."

"I need one more thing, where is Melody?" Ava asked in a cold tone.

Oliver fell silent. He looked at Ava with complicated eyes. Why does she want to know about that woman?

"Ava, she is not Melody, her name is Emily Luis. She just looks like Melody."

Ava was not really surprised to hear that, the way Melody talked to her that day and pushed her into the lake she also believed that woman could not be her best friend. "OK, then tell me, where is Emily?"

"Why do you want to know? Ava, I have already taken care of her. She will not be able to harm anybody in the future." Oliver said in a gentle but sincere voice. Thinking of that woman he was a bit angry.

The day Emily confessed of hurting Ava, he kept her in the base for another week and let his men torture her then he sent her to the mental asylum. After a month's torture, Emily was already delirious, she completely lost her mind and kept chanting Liam's name.

"Let her go, I want to deal with her myself." Ava knew Oliver's way of handling matter like this, so since that woman was not Melody, it's obvious Oliver wouldn't let her go.

"I am sorry baby, but I can't let her go. However, I can let you see her if you want." Oliver refused directly leaving no room for negotiation. People who dared to hurt his loved ones cannot go free at any cost.

Ava knew from his tone that this matter was not up for negotiation, so she also agreed. "OK, I want to meet her... right now." Saying that Ava stood up and walked downstairs in hurry.

Oliver was stunned, he didn't think she would want to see Emily right away but since it's her wish he decided to cooperate. Oliver also stood up and followed Ava downstairs.

Ava stood in the courtyard of the villa waiting for Oliver. It was late afternoon still the sun was very strong, Ava looked up and felt dizzy for a moment. Suddenly from the corner of her eyes, she saw movement she looked ahead and saw Oliver was coming toward her. The golden sunlight sprinkled on him making him look even more handsome than he was. This was the man she was deeply in love with, he was right in front of her but she felt like he was far away from her reach.

"Let's go." Oliver came to Ava and held her hand then took her toward his car.

Oliver drove around the downtown area. Ava wondered where he kept Emily? She even started to doubt if Oliver was actually taking her to see Emily, but she didn't say anything, she kept waiting patiently. After driving for a while Oliver finally stopped in front of a mental asylum. Ava's eyes widen seeing the sigh board, he kept Emily here?

Ava never liked the idea of putting normal people into a mental hospital. Any normal person will go crazy if lived here but this time she was not disappointed by his choice of putting Emily here.

The view of the mental hospital looked a little bit withered. Even though Ava was a doctor but seeing these patients and the doctors in white coats beside guarding them cautiously even she felt stressed. They got off the car together, Oliver immediately came to Ava's side and hugged her from the side. They passed through corridors and rooms seeing many strange mental patients. Ava shivered to see those people, she was really scared. Unconsciously she leaned toward Oliver's chest. Although she still hated him, but his warm arms made her feel at ease at that moment.

"Don't be afraid. I'm here." Oliver felt Ava's stiff and tense body, he tried to soothe her.

Oliver talked to a doctor and he brought them to a ward on the top floor. The mental patients on this floor were the most abnormal ones. Some of them were highly monitored because of their suicidal tendency. In the corridor, from time to time, Ava heard the sound of wailing, crying and shouting. Sometimes there were even sounds of singing. All these mixed voices were like a terrible nightmare.

"CEO Knight, Miss Luis is in there." The doctor pointed to a black iron door and walked forward with keys in his hand.

This was Oliver's first time here, since Emily was sent to the hospital, Oliver never bothered to know about her life or death. He just ordered the doctors here not to let this woman die. He wanted her to live and die every single day!

The doctor took out a key and opened the door. The room inside was separated by a protective glass to keep the violent patients away from any visitors. "The mental state of the patient has been getting worse recently. She could be dangerous to you so please don't get close to the protective glass. You can talk from here, she will hear you."

"OK, Thank you," Oliver said without any expression on his cold face.
