The perfect Present

Kiara stood there for a long time not able to utter a single word. She actually never learned her lesson, she wanted to humiliate Ava and now she was humiliated by Oliver and Ava both in front of all these people. Kiara looked at Oliver and suddenly froze, there was something evil in his cold eyes that made her scared of him for the first time. Kiara trembled in fear, she had never seen Oliver like that, yes he was indifferent to her but just now his eyes were like killing her silently again and again. Kiara realized how terrible Oliver was with his enemies. She stood there frozen unable to take a single step as if her legs were planted on the floor.

"Let's go, I don't want to see these ugly faces anymore." Erika snorted coldly and walked toward the counter to pay then got out of the shop.

Oliver and Ava were walking in the front, Erika and Arvin were following behind, and the four entered a restaurant. Oliver was in a good mood, he booked a private room for them and sat down happily. Ava sat down but she kept thinking about Oliver's birthday present so she was distracted the whole time they were having dinner.

Oliver noticed that he thought she was unhappy because of the incident that happened just now, so to make her happy he put her favorite chicken on her plate. However, Ava just sighed which made Oliver puzzled. He asked worriedly, "Baby are you alright?"

Ava got back to her senses and realized what she had just done. She quickly waved her hand and said with a smile, "Yes...yes, I am alright."

After dinner, they head toward home and again in the whole ride, Ava was quiet and kept thinking about the present. At this point, Oliver was frustrated because every time he asked her if she was ok or if she needed anything she would just simply say she was fine. Her attitude was driving Oliver crazy but he didn't say anything.

Ava and Oliver got home and Ava went straight toward the bedroom. When they entered the bedroom Oliver noticed Ava sat down on the couch and took out her laptop. Oliver was a bit confused about Ava's unusual behavior but he patiently said to her, "Ava, go and take a shower."

"You go ahead. I need to do something." Ava said with a warm smile as she turned on her laptop.

Oliver paused and stared at her with creased eyebrows for a while, then sighed and turned toward the bathroom.

It wasn't until Ava heard the sound of running water she opened the browser and started to google what to buy for one's boyfriend for his birthday. There was a lot of suggestion on the internet but nothing was appealing to her. She felt very distressed and tired. Out of habit she started to rub her neck and felt her cold fingers. Ava paused and suddenly a thought came to her mind. The winter is coming why not weave a scarf for Oliver!

Ava knew how to weave, she had learned it when she was in University, but now she realized she has forgotten how to do it. Ava sighed and opened tutorial videos about weaving scurfs.

Oliver came out from the shower and saw that Ava's eyes were attached to her laptop screen and her hands were in the air. Oliver couldn't understand what was the woman doing. He slowly stepped towards her.

Ava was so absorbed in the tutorial that she didn't even notice when Oliver came out of the shower. It wasn't until Oliver was two steps away she saw a movement. Ava looked up and seeing Oliver in front of her she panicked and quickly closed the browser.

Oliver stared at her with an expressionless face and couldn't help but wonder why she was acting so mysterious all of a sudden. He sat down beside her and looked at the laptop screen but there was nothing, he turned toward her and asked with great interest, "What were you watching and why did you turn it off?"

"It's nothing," Ava said calmly but looked at anywhere but Oliver.

Oliver immediately knew she was lying, with an evil smile he asked, "Were you watching any X-rated movie?"

"What X-rated movie? What nonsense are you talking about?" Ava stood up and head toward the bathroom to take shower.

"Then why are you hiding it from me?" Oliver asked with narrowed eyes.

"I am not hiding anything from you. I am going to take a shower." Ava went into the bathroom and under the hot water suddenly she felt very relaxed. Finally, she was able to pick a perfect birthday present for Oliver, she was very happy.

After the shower, Ava crept onto the bed tiredly but suddenly Oliver attacked her like a hungry wolf. Oliver started to kiss Ava's shoulder and neck but Ava was so tired she started to yawn. Oliver looked at her helplessly and suddenly his mood was gone. He came off her body slowly.

"I'm sorry Oliver. I'm feeling very sleepy." Ava yawned and said.

"All right, sleep." Oliver looked at the clock on the wall. It was more than ten o'clock.

Oliver looked at the woman beside him worriedly, these days she was always very tired. The moment she hit the bed she would fall asleep like a dead woman. Was there too much pressure at her work? Maybe he should ask her to take a holiday and rest at home for a few days. Oliver sighed and took the woman in his arm and fell asleep.
