The Patients at the ICU

Ava was shocked to see Oliver at this hour in the hospital. 'Why was he here? It's two in the afternoon, shouldn't he be busy at KNIGHT International?' Ava thought to herself.

Oliver was not afraid of his and Ava's relationship was out in front of everyone now, he had already met Ava's parents, soon he will take Ava to meet his parents so it was almost public that they were dating. Oliver came to the hospital to show something to Ava and when he just reached the doctor's office, he heard some quarrel noise coming from inside. He stood at the door and listened to the argument between a woman and Ava until that woman said those disgraceful words, Oliver couldn't bear it anymore and decided to interrupt their arguments. How dare she say something like that to his women.

Sylvia was stunned. Oliver Knight! Her eyes were fixed on Oliver's handsome face, looking at him blankly.

"Take back what you just said about Ava. Otherwise, you will have to bear the consequences." Oliver's dark eyes looked sinister and his whole body was emanating a deadly aura.

Sylvia stood there confused thinking, why was Oliver Knight defending this woman? Do they know each other?

The office was deadly silent. Everyone was looking at the scene in front and was waiting eagerly to see what will happen next.

"Why are you quiet, you don't dare to speak now?" Oliver asked mockingly but the look in his eyes was really scary.

"Oliver forget it, it's all right." Ava went over and requested him to drop it, after all, she and Sylvia were still colleagues. She didn't want to cause her any trouble.

However, Oliver had something else in mind. When Ava came to him, he hugged Ava in front of everyone and said proudly, "Whoever you are, you think so highly of yourself to dare to bully my girlfriend?"

Ava's mouth twitched as she looked at him helplessly, he was such a bully. Who would dare to talk to her now after knowing that she was his girlfriend?

"Apologize to Ava." Oliver's eyes squinted dangerously. Someone humiliated his woman, how could he just let it go?

Sylvia clenched her fist but didn't say anything. She couldn't believe her ears, how could Ava be Oliver Knight's girlfriend? Why she was so lucky? She was this tycoon's girlfriend, the director of her department. Sylvia's eyes were full of envy for a moment but looking at Oliver's sinister eyes she got really scared. A very arrogant person like her suddenly turned into a pitiful person.

"My patience is limited, I won't wait here the whole day for you." Oliver raised his chin, and his cold words were full of warning.

"I'm sorry Director Green, I spokes to you very rudely just now. I hope you can forgive me this time, I won't make this mistake again." Sylvia said shivering.

She was well aware of Oliver Knight's power and she still wanted this job and wanted to live in this city. So she had no other choice but to admit defeat and apologize to Ava.

"See how easy it was." Oliver sneers.

Sylvia almost cried out in fear. She lowered her head and was trying really hard to hold back the tears. At this moment, she must not shed any tears and let her colleagues see a joke, even though she had become a big joke today.

Although Oliver didn't like this women's arrogant attitude but he was still satisfied so he took Ava's hand and walked away from there. Oliver took Ava to the elevator and press the button to the 16th floor.

Ava looked at his action and asked him confusedly, "Oliver, why are we going to the 16th floor?" Ava was well aware that, the 16th floor was the orthopedic department.

"Taking you to see some patients." Oliver had a cold smile on his lips.

Ava has been with Oliver for some time now, if she didn't understand the meaning of Oliver's smile then she was really stupid. She was sure it would not be any pleasant visit.

Outside ICU ward.

Ava looked at the people lying in front of her through the transparent glass and asked, "Oliver, who are these people?"

"Yesterday, my men found these three people and interrogated them." Oliver's face was grim and his plain words were sending a chill to Ava's body.

Ava looked at them again and asked nervously, "These three are the ones who kidnapped Sarah, aren't they?"

Oliver nodded.

Goosebumps rose in Ava's body, normally the people who were very serious or about to die would be sent to ICU. Now that these three were lying here Ava could guess how badly they were beaten to end up in here.

"They wouldn't be able to hurt anyone again," Oliver said raising his lips and giving a strange smile.

"Why, what did you do to them?" Ava asked suspiciously.

Although she was touched that Oliver continued the investigation of Sarah's kidnapping and found the criminals but looking at the people in front Ava still felt Oliver was really cruel.

"They are all paralyzed," Oliver said with an expressionless face then gently hugged Ava and turned in the direction of the elevator.

"Did you come to the hospital just to show me this?" Ava's eyes widen as she looked at him, she was suddenly very afraid of the Oliver in front of her.

Oliver turned and looked at Ava then said with a charming smile, "No, I missed you, so I come to see you and as they were already here I decided to show you."

Oliver's principle was very simple, as long as no one offended him he wouldn't bother anyone, but if anyone dared then he would make them disappear.

"Oliver wasn't it a little too much, after all, they didn't harm Sarah except for kidnapping her and they were just...." Ava stopped, thinking if she should mention Kiara.

"Ava, they were criminals and deserved it because they made you cry. You don't have to worry about it too much. You just stay by my side, I will never hurt you or let anyone hurt you, ok?" Oliver said firmly and lowered his head to seal her lips.

Oliver knew Ava wanted to say the main culprit was Kiara but he couldn't punish Kiara, it's too complicated. Besides she had already promised not to do anything to Ava or her family so he had to let her off this time. But these thugs must be punished because they dared to offend him.
