The offending photos

Ava was dumbfounded when Oliver asked permission for marriage because he never mentioned it to her. She stood there in a daze not knowing how to react. When she looked at Oliver she could see the seriousness in his face and she felt overwhelmed.

At the end of the last bell, the fireworks stopped and the lights in the hall went out. This was a surprise for Charles planned by Oliver and Erika, they had put together some pictures of Charles, from his childhood to old age to make his birthday more memorable for him.

Everyone's eyes were focused on the east wall where the projector started to show the pictures. After this, they would cut the cake. People were looking at the pictures some were very old some were recent. It was a wonderful way of putting the memories together.

Charles and Elizabeth both were surprised and their eyes became moist when they saw their old pictures together. Suddenly the screen went off and then again it was turned on but this time the pictures on the screen were not of Charles, instead, it was some nude pictures of Ava.

Pictures after pictures started to play on the east wall and the crowd watched in shock, Ava in another man's arm in such intimate positions just after Oliver announced his relationship with her. The whole thing created an uproar at the party and everyone started to criticized Ava.

Ava was even more shocked, she couldn't believe that what she was seeing was the pictures of her night with Sam. She felt sick to her stomach and couldn't stand there anymore.

The moment Oliver realized it was Ava in the picture his eyes turned bloodthirsty red and there was a murderous look on his face. He immediately rushed out from the hall like a gust of wind.

Liam saw Ava was not looking good and she was about to fall he hurriedly held her in his arm and hugged her tightly in a protective way. He gently whispered soothing words in her ear: "It's OK, it's OK."

Ava realized that Oliver was not there, she thought, he was probably embarrassed because of her and left, so she started to sob quietly in Liam's arm. How could she live now that such a thing happened in front of everyone tonight? It was so humiliating, one second ago, Oliver summoned up the courage to introduce her to his family, but the next second she just let him down. Ava wanted to die at that moment.

Oliver rushed into the screening room but no one was there. He quickly unplugged the projector and turned on all the lights.

The hall brightened up again, but everyone's eyes were fixed on Ava, and they keep whispering bad things about her character.

"She is so shameless. She looks so innocent, but look how dirty she actually is."

"How could such a person dream of marrying into Knight Family?"

"What people say is true looks can be deceiving, god knows with how many men she has already slept with."

"That's enough. Don't say another word." Conner snapped at them, and they were shocked by the look on his face.

"Clear the area!" Charles Said in a stern tone and within a minute all the guests were shown out and the castle gate closed heavily.

However, before they left, Charles warned all of them coldly, "I hope what happened tonight in here, will stay in here. If I hear any gossip, I will not be polite to anyone."

Everyone in the room understood that if they let out a single word then they would not be able to live in this city. Although Charles Knight was old but he was still very influential and powerful, so no one dared to say a word against him. They all were aware, how ruthless the Knight family men could be.

When Oliver came back to the hall he saw Ava was crying miserably and Liam was holding her. He was furious, he pushed Liam away and took Ava in his arm.

Liam took a step back when he was pushed away by Oliver but didn't say anything he just stared at Oliver angrily.

"Dad, someone must have framed Ava. I believe her, she is not such kind of person." Ella took the lead and opened her mouth to support Ava.

"Yes, Grandpa, Ava is definitely not such a person. She is framed." Oliver said with a cold face.

"Where is Kiara? This must be her doing, that bitch!" Erika looked around but she didn't see Kiara anywhere, so Erica assumed after putting the pictures on the projector she must have run away from here.

Mathew heard his daughter cursing Kiara, he immediately started to scold her."Rika, it's rude to talk like that about someone."

At that time, two waiters came to the hall and said, "Sir, Miss Anderson entered the screening room and send us away, she said she was family so we couldn't refuse her. We are really sorry sir...We are really sorry....."

Oliver became gloomy as he stared at the two waiters. So it was Kiara again.

The birthday party was ruined by these offending photos, even if the people didn't say anything, they will surely laugh at them. The knight's reputation was ruined.
