The double date

Ava felt sad hearing Sarah, she knew Sarah was referring to her messy family condition. This was a huge knot in Sarah's heart. Although Lilly and James loved Sarah very much and tried to give her everything she needed, but they were not really her parents and her own parent, even though they were still alive they couldn't give Sarah the home she deserved. Ava understood from her words that she thinks she was not worthy enough to match Ben's family. Sarah was always sensible like that.

"Sarah, why do you say that? My sister is the best, she has no lacking in anything." Ava smiled and hugged Sarah tightly.

"Sis, you don't have to comfort me. I know everything." Although Sarah said it with a smile, but her beautiful eyes couldn't hide the sadness in them.

"Sarah, don't overthink it ok! Let's go, the movie is about to start. Which one are you watching?" Ava subtly changed the subject.

"The Old Guard."

"What a coincidence. We are also watching the same one." Ava said as they walked back to Oliver and Ben.

Four of them entered the movie theatre together. Ben and Oliver both bought tickets for the couple's seats and unfortunately, their seats were side by side. Although there was a small barrier and no one could look at each other unless they leaned forward and take a peek but still Ben and Sarah both felt a bit uncomfortable because of Ava and Oliver's presence.

Four of them sat down one couple on the left and another on the right. Oliver took Ava in his arm immediately as if it was the most natural thing to do, while Ben and Sarah put the popcorn in between them and watched the movie in peace.

The movie was about an American superhero based on comics. So they enjoyed the action and the plot very much. Four of them had a very good time at the movie theatre. After the movie, Oliver, like a gentleman invited Ben and Sarah to dinner and they all went to a restaurant together.

The atmosphere at the dining table was a bit awkward. Ava and Sarah both were very silent, Only Oliver and Ben kept their conversation going on to make the environment feel at ease for everyone.

"Ben, you and Sarah did a very good job yesterday at the program." Oliver laughed and praised.

"Thank you, Brother Oliver."

"Brother Oliver, my grandfather's birthday is coming soon. Will you attend the party?" Ben took a sip of his orange juice and looked at Oliver with bright eyes.

"Come on, how can I not?" Oliver said with a smile.

General Sherman was the Colonel-General of this military region, their whole family was well-known in the upper society. Although the relationship between the Knight family and the Sherman family was not particularly close, but it was still very friendly. So of course on General Sherman's birthday, all the upper class were invited including Oliver, Conner, and Charles.

"Brother finally agreed to come home and on Grandpa's birthday, Dad is planning to introduce him to everyone," Ben said happily, he had no idea about the feud between Oliver and Daniel. He just knew they were classmates, and thought their relationship was good so he kept talking about Daniel.

"Oh? Is that so?" Oliver's eyes narrowed slightly but hid the fierceness in them completely as he asked.

Daniel, the illegitimate son, finally decided to return home and take the Sherman name formally. Although Oliver was surprised but he didn't find it strange at all. Of course, he would want to be the legal son of Carlos Sherman. Oliver wondered why he refused to come back all these years? End of the day both mother and son were shameless. The mother gave birth to her son secretly and the son now shamelessly returning to the Sherman family.

"Yes, Dad has been waiting for this day for years. So we all are very happy." Ben said happily.

"What about your mom?" Oliver asked with a smile.

"Well it's definitely Brother's decision whether he will come home or not but at home whatever Dad says is the final word, therefore mom really has no opinion on this. My brother has been leaving outside for all these years, I think it's a good thing that he is coming home." Ben said in understanding.

"Ben, Daniel is really lucky to have a brother like you," Oliver said admiring Ben. He really appreciated Ben's open-minded mentality. If everyone was like him then the world would be a peaceful place.

Ava listened to Oliver and Ben's conversation carefully and understood that Daniel has finally decided to take his father's name. She thought it's a good thing. First, no one would call him an illegitimate child anymore, and second, he was so lonely outside at least he would have a family now. The way Ben was talking about Daniel she could tell that the brothers have a very good relationship.

After lunch, Oliver proposed, Sarah and Ben, to hang out with them, so they started to discuss where to go next. Sarah said, she wanted to go to Karaoke to sing, but Olives said it's too boring. He suggested going for a foot massage to the foot bar. The weather was getting colder, a foot massage will be very very relaxing.

Ava stared at Oliver with narrowed eyes and asked coldly, "Do you often go to places like that?"

"Honey, it's not what you think, the foot bar at the spa center is a very formal place." Oliver quickly explained.

Sarah said: "I want to try that out. I have never been to the foot bar before."

"Don't worry Sarah, your brother-in-law will take you there today." Oliver looked at Sarah and said with a smile.

Ava was still unsure but she trusted Oliver so didn't argue anymore. Suddenly a date between the two couples turned into a double date as they went to the Dihao spa center for an exclusive foot massage together.
