Refuse to recognize

Oliver and Ava got out of the villa and started to walk by the sidewalk of the road. Ava was a bit confused as to why Oliver was not taking the car so she asked, "Are we going to walk?"

"Yeah, Rika's house is nearby." Oliver smiled and pointed to the villa next to them.

Ava was surprised that they lived so close but she was happy thinking Orion had her so close by all these years. They came to the door and rang the bell.

In the living room Arvin, Erika, and Orion were playing a board game when their doorbell rang.

"Orion, stop killing my soldiers, why don't you kill uncle Arvin's one," Erika whined, while Arvin and Orion laughed out loud.

Arvin shook his head and said, "I am going to open the door, no cheating, you two." Arvin got up and opened the door but he was dumbfounded to see Ava at the door. He then look behind Ava and saw Oliver standing there with an indifferent face, but there was a sparkle in Oliver's eyes that was not easy to miss. He already knew they were back together. Arvin smiled widely and greeted Ava and invited them in. "Ava! What a pleasant surprise, please come in."

Orion was thinking about his next move when Erika started to whine again, "Orion, what is taking you so long? Come on do it already."

"Wow, how impatient are you, Erika? He is a child let him think before he makes his move or else he will make mistake and lose the game." Oliver said in his deep voice as he entered the living room.

Oliver was holding Ava's waist intimately while Arvin was behind them still smiling. Erika, looked at Ava and Oliver with a raised eyebrow for a while before she also broke out a smile. Looks like her brother has won over Ava again.

Ava stood there feeling a bit awkward, although she didn't hate Oliver anymore after knowing her child was alive but her heart was not still quite there yet. So she was a bit hesitant, she looked over the table and saw Orion, who was also looking at them.

"Dad, Miss Mackie. Why are you here?" Orion said in a baby voice. He was wondering if Ava came to teach him piano. He stood up and walked steadily toward Ava and Oliver.

Arvin came to Erika and held her shoulder as he looked at Oliver's family from the other side of the living room. He wondered when they were going to have a family like that. It's been more than 4 years since they were married but Erika still doesn't want to have any kids. Most of the time he was ok but whenever he saw a complete family with the kids around he would regret it a little.

"Orion." Ava kneel down in front of Orion and looked at him with so much love, her eyes watered instantly. How could she not recognize her own child, her blood? Tears streamed down as she took Orion in her arms and cried silently.

Orion frowned a little but didn't push Ava, he felt sad when he saw her crying like that but he was also confused about why she was crying. He raised his small hands and gently wiped Ava's tears and asked softly, "Miss Mackie, why are you crying?"

When Oliver watched the mother and son meet for the first time after knowing the truth, he was also close to tears, he felt heartache for both of them that it took them so long to reconcile. Finally, he fulfilled his promise to his son, he bought his mother back to him. Oliver smiled and said in a soft tone, "I brought your mother back Orion, call her Mom."

Orion looked at Ava in amazement, his eyes were shining brightly. But he didn't do what Oliver said, neither he hugged her, nor he called her 'Mom'. He just stood there without any expression on his little face. He wanted to call her and hug her but when he thought she left him and stayed away for these years and all the time his father sadly stared at her picture, Orion just couldn't do it, he felt resentment toward her. Why did she come back now? Why does she have another kid with another man? How could he just accept her like that? Orion suddenly turned away and ran to Erika and held her tightly refusing to even look at Ava, he was refusing to recognize Ava.

Ava was looking forward to hearing 'Mom' from Orion but she was puzzled when Orion reacted like that, her heart felt like it broke into pieces. He hated her, her own son didn't want her, what had she done? If she didn't leave would Orion ever resent her like this? More tears started to flow from Ava's eyes as she felt lost.

Erika who was staring at the scene unfold till now was actually surprised when Orion ran to her. She felt sorry for Ava but she was boiling with rage inside. Oliver! How could he not tell her that Orion was his and Ava's child? She was confused at first but when Oliver told Orion to call Ava Mom and Ava started to cry like she just found her lost child, Erika understood everything, she looked at the man beside her but, seeing that there was no surprise on his face she knew Arvin was aware of the fact. It was only her, who was left in dark. Erika wanted to kick Arvin and her brother for hiding such a huge thing from her. She told Oliver about her fear, but even then he didn't tell her Ava's child didn't die. She was relieved and happy for them but she was still angry.

Oliver frowned, he knew Orion was already aware that Ava was his mother even though he never told him directly, he thought his boy will be thrilled when Ava came back. So his action sort of confused him. Then Oliver remember the conversation he had with him a few days ago, he had said that he didn't want to like her because he was angry that she left him. Oliver sighed and helped Ava to stand up, then he looked at Orion and said pretending to be sad, "Orion, since you don't want your mother, I'll send her away. I will never let her come to you. Ok!"

Ava understood what Oliver was trying to do, she looked at Orion with hopeful eyes preying he would stop her. As Oliver expected, Orion abruptly turned around and looked at Ava and Oliver with complicated eyes, he wanted to be stubborn and let her leave but his heart still wanted his mother, and he suddenly shouted out, "No."

"Why not? You don't want to call her Mom so that means you don't want your mother so it's better to let her go, Isn't it?" Oliver said hugging Ava as he pretended to leave. Orion panicked and ran to them, he held onto Ava's leg and started to cry, "Mom, Mom please don't leave me again. "

More tears started to fall the moment Ava heard him calling her Mom, she kneeled down again and held him tightly in her arm. Her son didn't hate her, he accepted her. "Orion, Orion...My beautiful boy. I am so sorry that Mom couldn't come to you sooner. I am so sorry."

They both were holding each other tightly and Oliver stood there quietly with a smile on his face. He let the mother and son have their moment. He felt complete at the moment, his family was complete, and the three of them were finally reunited.

Erika wiped the tears from her eyes as she watched Ava and Orion reconcile after 3 years, Erika felt really happy for her brother. Arvin held her and comforted her silently; he was also feeling a bit emotional seeing them like this.
