New Reality

As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

Why Now…

//Caval Kingdom//

"Your Majesty." A handsome looking man said as he placed his spear on the ground to bow down to his king.

A spacious room with different shining glass at the sides was designed at the windows. An expensive looking chair was placed in the middle of the room. This is where the King's Throne is located.

Two doors were only visible, which the man had entered and the other is at the back of the King's Throne. At the side, few knights are only seen guarding their king. The armor has a horse crest on it. Just by looking at the knight's faces, drops of sweat were forming but they remained standing in their places.

"Oh, is it you, Lefu?" A man in his seventies spoke in a questioning voice before smiling at the visitor, "Hello, kid."

"What do you need, Your Majesty?" The man named Lefu raised his head, stands up, and talks to his King.

The King looks at Lefu with a warm gaze. He saw Lefu wearing light armor on his body which is not much heavy as the rest. His short white messy hair could be seen. A muscular build from his days of training. His face is expressionless but when it comes to his King, everything changed.

The King answered, "it's been a week now since the Empire has been attacking our lands and taking control of it one by one. Those bastards even allied with Metia and Enhancia."

The King passed as he smiled bitterly, "What do you think about this situation?"

Lefu faced his King, eyeing him straight into the eyes. Lefu knew that his king is already at the age of seventy but you'll be mistaken he is not like that due to his appearance and physique.

"I don't know, Your Majesty. I thought we have a contract with the Holy Empire from using 'it' and exposing us is like exposing themselves." Lefu paused, "It was them who invited us to do it, and now..."

Lefu bowed his head started to bite his lower lip, '...And now we're on this dep shit problem.'

The king chuckled before he said in a warm tone, "Yes, you're right, Lefu. They should know the thing when they broke the contract but they still exposed us, which is weird. Sigh... we should not trust those bastards in the first place."

The king paused, "You know, I was thinking about this for a week now and the higher this happening is possible,"

The king breathed, "I think we have been caught in a trap. I don't know who it is but the contract was just their doing for us to believe them. Besides, no one escapes the system's eyes."

Lefu was surprised as he thought the word inwardly, 'Trap?'

Before Lefu could think more deeply about it, the king look at his faithful servant before he loudly said with might in his voice, "This will be the task I'll be giving you, Lefu!"

Knowing what Lefu's king meant, Lefu raised his head and looked at the king with disbelief.

His lips are quivering as he knew retorting back to a king is just disrespectful, but it was his king's health he is worried about so he did it anyway, "But… Your Majesty! You know I can't leave you... There might be a war coming every second now. What would happen if… I'm not right beside you."

Seeing the change in Lefu's expression, The king can't help but put on a sad smile as it was the Lefu he always knew.

He said, "I know that my faithful servant, but this is something we all needed to know. I have a feeling that something is happening within the continent that we don't know, Lefu."

He paused, "And... I'm sorry to burden you with this entire task, little one. "

As if to encourage Lefu, the knights, who are listening, started to shout loudly too.

"You're the hope of our kingdom, Lefu!" "We all trust you!" "Yeah, and don't worry. We'll do our best to protect his Majesty."

Hearing everyone's encouragement, Lefu bows his head and clicked his tongue. Knowing what kind of king he had, he surrendered and kneels down in front of his king. As he bit his lips, the blood was dripping slowly on the ground but it was not that noticeable.

"I'll do my best…" Lefu said in a low voice, "Your Majesty..."

Hearing an answer, the king give a warm smile and continued, "One more thing, kid. After you are done, live a good life, okay? Avoid this kind of conflict and better have friends. Have someone to love too. Share your pain with her."

The only thing that his King wished.

"I-I will, your Majesty," Lefu spoke while stuttering.

"I know you will." The King smiled before shouting at one of the knights, "Give me my armor!"

"Yes, Your highness!" The knight shouted, kneeled, and proceed to get him his armor.

Moments passed, the king finally wore the same armor from the knights but much more durable. Silver in color, which is not too shiny to hurt the eyes of others with a horse crest on it.

He walks majestically towards the other door, narrowing his eyes at the room. He saw the knights were the only one left here as the person seemed to be gone.

The king smiled, 'He really is prompt about everything. I didn't even say what to do... Good luck, Lefu. And I'm sorry that this will be our last meeting.'

He chuckled as he didn't notice that he was now in front of the door. Opening it, he walks the same way and strolls at the oval shape terrace before he looks down on the ground. He saw many people wearing different types of armor on the ground, bowing at him in unison before standing up.

He then shouted with might on his face, "Knights! Soldiers! Guards! Cavalries! I need you to do only one thing!"

Thump!

The people thump their feet at the ground, while the horses at the sides, neigh. The sun could be seen at the top, radiating the armor of the king, which shined beautifully.

"Let's slaughter those traitorous bastards!"

Shing!

The king raised his sword and shouts. "For the Caval Kingdom!"

All his troops followed the same way, shouting. "For the Caval Kingdom!" "For the Caval Ki—!"

...

'What's up with this guy now?' Gin questioned himself inwardly.

At some crowded place inside the village, Gin looked at Luke, who really captivated everyone at his acting. As the people keep pouring, the more they took pity at looked and saw how he was on a sorry state.

But Gin? He doubted it.

'Is he planning something or he just wants someone to comfort him? Anyway, as long he doesn't disturb me, it's all good. For a moment, that acting is really splendid.' Gin thought inwardly while continuing to look at Luke.

"Friend was... eaten... Ahh...! blood." Luke acts as he made his voice break before he started to cry again, which even made him more pitiful.

Gin scoffed as he clapped his hands with amazement. He decided to get away from the crowd because he has a bigger problem. Besides, he didn't have to watch the shit-show all day.

As Gin was about to leave, at the edge of his eyes, he saw a figure of five people entering the safe zone. One person was rather familiar to him.

As Gin thought about who the man was, he finally remember that he was someone he saw when he is meeting up with Grey on the timer at that time. He was also the one who tried to snatch Grey away from him.

The scar on the right side of his face and piercing on his ears and nose were enough for Gin to know that it was really the same guy he saw. He also had an intimidating body that will probably make weaker people shrink with fear.

[Truth Eyes-See Through- has been activated]

Seeing the man, Gin blinked his eyes, activating his attribute. He carefully looks at the man's status window.

Slowly, a bad feeling was entering Gin as he nervously said, "W-why now…"

[Don't ever team up with him. Avoid him as much as possible, if you don't want to die. If he ever sees you once, he will surely kill you. Don't just die yet because of this human. Run!]

'This... I know that!' Gin shouted inwardly as he looked at Fritz's other men entering inside the village or safe zone.

All of them are also covered with blood. Who knows where they get it but the people living in the safe zone just rescued them like they're not that really harmful, but they sure are!

Gin, whose eyes still activated, saw Fritz glancing and nodded in Luke's direction, who had his eyes move for a second before acting up again. Seeing them, Gin grew more suspicious as he saw the two just talk through gestures.

Gin became more alert.

'Ah, shit. Do they know each other? Why are you here... fuck. What are you guys planning here...?' Gin questioned.

It was then Gin really decide to leave but he stopped again when he saw Jasmin coming in from the crowd, bringing food on Luke.

Gin moved his eyes at Luke and saw his face brightening up when he saw Jasmin in front of him, before he removed them quickly. It was then he moved his lips from left to right like he saw a walking, delicious food coming at him.

Gin saw it all. Of course, he is no different from him when he first time met Jasmin, but the extreme lust in his eyes like he wanted to do something bad to her is the thing that truly disgusts Gin. He is no hero but it just getting on his nerves.

'This old geezer... how can you look like that from someone, who is still ten years apart from you...' Gin said inwardly.

He stopped getting away before he moved outside the crowd to wait for Jasmin to get out. After some time passed on thinking about what to do when Gin saw this, he then finally saw Jasmin, who looked happy as if she accomplished something good.

'I thought you're in need of food? Why are you giving what's yours?' Gin mused inwardly as he approached her.

Still walking happily, Jasmin's expression instantly turned dark when someone she slightly hates is now approaching her.

"Oy, come here for a moment." Gin called as he glance at the back of Jasmin eyeing if Luke saw, and see if they're watching him. Noticing that the people already covered them both, Gin sighed in relief.

"Why are you here uncle?" Jasmin asked in an alert voice as she formed a frown on her face. She didn't even try to hide it from Gin.

Unbothered by it, Gin speaks while carrying the food he had in his hands, "I need to tell you something. Go to my room and bring a bag with you."

Jasmin tilt her head for a second before she let out a small laugh, "Pft, what is this? Uncle, are you sorry? Then, repay me with food. Or, are you confessing your love to me now? I know I'm beautiful."

Gin slightly shakes his head with disbelief and was confused about what Jasmin had said,

Gin answered, "What the hell are you talking about? I don't like you or anything of that sort. I must tell you something important. It's not good to tell it now. Bring the bag that has food inside now, ok?"

Listening to Gin's demands, Jasmin could only sigh as she knew she can't disobey Gin, who she recently knows he is a friend of Nash, who gives them food and hunts for them.

Then, she had a sudden thought and thinking about it, she subconsciously steps back. Seeing her like that, Gin got weirded out by her movement and began to tilt his head at the side.

"What are you going to do with me Uncle? I-it's not that right?" Jasmin asked nervously.

Thinking what she meant about it, Gin let out a small chuckle as he understand it very quickly which even made Jasmin become more suspicious about it.

"Enough with your wild thoughts, move quickly," Gin spoke while forming a faint smile, 'This girl... how could he even think of that thing in this situation.'

After the two talked, they parted ways. Jasmin goes back to her place to get what Gin wanted. The same could be said on Gin as he began to think about the things he needed to do when he is inside his place.

Minutes later, Jasmin was now in front of Gin's room, holding a bag of food. All she acquired was now inside the bad. Wearing the same red whole dress, she was reluctant to go inside. She doubted why Gin wanted to call her at this time and place.

'I-if this is the only way to survive in this place then... so be it.' Jasmin strongly said inwardly before she swallowed a mouthful of saliva, knocking at the door twice after.

The knocking sound was heard and Jasmin could only wait and think about the thing that would happen when she is now inside Gin's room.

"Come in."

The voice was unclear but Jasmin understood the words as it was only two. She nervously held the doorknob and think about the man who would dominate her

She recollects her senses right away before she twists the doorknob. With a creaking sound, what she expected about Gin doing to her didn't appear before her eyes. Heck, she thought that Gin is naked on right now but no.

What she exactly saw is Gin wearing leather armor with weapons placed on his bed. There is also the glass she just found at the desk, which Gin brought from her. But all in all, Jasmin saw and felt that Gin will do no harm.

In fact, she thought Gin is gearing himself preparing for something.

Jasmin was left in a confused state as she could only voice out, "W-what is this."
