New Reality

As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

[System Evaluation]

[With those good numbers, she can be good as the rookies. Whether it is face or stats, she is above average. In other words, she is higher than you. Way higher. You are just lucky to have Nash and others with you. But something is not changed, you are still 'trash'.]

'Hahaha... how can I stop this evaluation? It gives me annoyance each time instead of pitying me. Is there some kind of cancel button or something?' Gin mused inwardly as he continued to look at Anna.

"Uhm, you can remove your hands now, you know?" Anna said as she looked at Gin and his hand each second passed.

As she says it, Anna finally realized that she bought a man inside her room and was now shaking hands with him. Still, it doesn't mean she's not strong. As if she's only wasting time studying history class.

"Oh, sorry." Gin apologized before removing it.

He then let out a fake cough from his mouth to get Anna's attention, so that he could finish the meeting they're having.

Gin continued, "Anyway, only do this favor if only I'm available. Is that good?"

Gin didn't wait for a response as he began to walk towards the room's door. Holding the doorknob and twisting it midway, he instantly stopped when Anna speak in a curious tone.

"I don't understand. Why would you accept it right away?" Anna spoke curiously with a mix of caution.

She thought negotiation would come. Many things would be included when the negotiation is underway, an example of it is money. Strangely enough, Gin didn't ask what the favor is but also accepts it like it was nothing. There wasn't even a negotiation from the start.

Gin glanced half of his head and answered, "I know that the favor will be not so dangerous. And as I said, I want to protect my identity from exposure."

"But..."

Gin let out a sigh from his mouth before turning around, "How about it. Since you're still not content that you got what you get, how about I can also have your favor? Sounds good, isn't it?"

"..."

Anna formed a questioning face as she knitted her eyebrows. She knew that the guy in front of her is just something else. Smart and strong.

She thought she had already carefully analyzed Gin but the little they had now, she doesn't know what to think about him which made her think that she needed to reform everything.

'Something's fishy…' Anna thought inwardly before she asked in a suspicious tone, "Hey, what are you thinking, Gin?"

Gin tilts his head at the side before forming a faint smile, "Let's just say, the more the merrier."

'Huh?' Anna was shockingly confused at the remark before she continued, 'What does he mean by that? Wait, is he building a har—'

Creak!

After going out of Anna's room, Gin stretches his hand out before setting his destination to the archer class.

Gin walks and saw that the hallways are bustling with people. Probably on a break or something.

He moved from left and right along the way just to avoid the people, who are moving in groups. He continued to walk, seeing the smiles and laughter from everyone's faces and expressions.

As if they're their long friends before they even met.

Gin continued to walk while remembering the conversation he had with Anna, 'Thinking about it, just what kind of favor will she give? It's not that dangerous, right?'

He then shrugged it off on his mind before he began to move as fast as possible to finish the next class he is attending.

Standing at the door he was supposed to attend now, Gin looked at with a questioning gaze while holding his chin.

He tried opening it once but it was locked. He also already activated his eyes but no people could be seen inside. Hans included.

'Hmm, so it would be opened but it will be later huh. Sigh,' Gin sighed inwardly before he looked to his left and right.

Gin saw many are still going in and out from one classroom to another, choosing what's best for them. At that moment, he decided to attend a class just for fun.

Gin sets his destination to the right, strolling around along the way as he eyed every sign he pass. It only took a few steps from moving before he stopped.

/Magic Class/

As if a sudden thought passed his mind, Gin let out a groan and mused, 'Why didn't I think of this?'

He looked at the sign with sparkling eyes before continuing, 'Why would I have to attend hand-to-hand combat class if there is this class? This is the way I can utilize my iron element.'

Gin moved closer to the door before he mused another, 'Wait, isn't this where Kisha is attending? Oh well, she's not the talkative type of woman.'

Gin knew her well thus he decided to attend this class and he will do it now. He raised his hand first before knocking at the door thrice.

Knock!

He waited for three seconds before finally opening it.

Tak!

As Gin enters, everyone inside the class looked at the door to see if it is another newbie going in and they're correct.

Everyone saw a masked guy standing, scanning the whole room. The instructor present also stopped talking and looked at the person.

Kisha, who was just idling around her seat, glanced half of her head before she froze at the spot while making a surprise expression, as the one who entered was familiar to her.

Staring at the person's mask was just enough though.

"Hello, instructor. If I'm not disturbing, may I listen to this class?" Gin spoke respectfully as he looked at the present teacher.

The teacher had a pointy hat above his head which made him look like a true magician for some reason. A handsome face that is captivating enough. Clothes that are befitting to a teacher and Fake glasses on his face to add his charm.

"Sure, sit wherever you want."

But the way he speaks sounds like a gangster for some reason.

"..."

Gin nodded his head faintly but he wasn't hurt emotionally from that, instead, he liked this type of teacher who is not goody two shoes.

He sits down at the back rows before he heard the instructor continues.

"Since you new guy came, I'll make a brief introduction. My name is Jacob and just that. To be honest with you, I don't like these clothes. I want to be free you know. Well, let's not talk about why I wore it."

Jacob paused, "I'm not really into teaching but since some good friend invited me, I teach. Anyway, like I always said, if you don't like the way I teach, you can freely leave. The door at the classroom is free."

Hearing it so many times now, the newbies and Kisha nodded their heads helplessly. They knew that Jacob is just saying whatever he like as he wanted to waste his time so that he can be alone and sleep.

On the other hand, Gin had his interest piqued, making him activate his attribute to look at the teacher.

'This instructor is kind of funny but his stats aren't. Battlemage, huh.' Gin mused inwardly before he fully focused himself on Jacob's discussion.

"Kuhum, what are we discussing right now?" Jacob asked anyone in the class.

Surprisingly, he and the other students saw Kisha raising her hand like she wanted to answer the question.

Kisha didn't wait anymore before she answered with a respectful tone, "Magic and Elements that are placed on our status window, instructor."

Kisha showed slight anxiousness on her face even though she was maintaining expressionless.

'What is Gin in here?' Kisha mused, 'Don't tell me she's watching the group's performance? Ugh, I've only been idling around... Is that the reason?'

"Wow, you speak, little girl?" Jacob spoke in a sarcastic tone before he continued, "Yes, I think that's our lesson now. Hmm... that's our topic then."

Jacob clapped his hands, "Listen up, we're discussing those two. Well, let's cut to the chase. Magic and Elements had different meanings or descriptions in this world but the two are connected. First is magic."

Jacob turned his body around to face the board on his back. He understandably explained things while writing notes on the board, with his penmanship being absolutely beautiful.

"You see, your magic icon at your status window is composed of two things."

The way he writes in a fast and beautiful at the same time would make everyone awe.

"The first thing is your mana." He paused, "The second one is a better understanding of your elemental magic."

He took a quick breath, "First is mana. Mana is... hmm, you could acquire it everywhere. Every day, your mana tanks will be full. Of course, it doesn't;t mean you won't sleep and eat. Doing those simple things would not only make you acquire mana but you will also don't die."

Jacob glance half of his head and thought that somebody would laugh, but he only saw everyone being fully immersed in his lesson.

Jacob smiled after seeing them, before he decided to do the same, "Anyway, you will know more about mana as time goes on so how about we proceed to the next one?"

He paused "All of you here, even if you're not a mage, know some spells right? It's weird but that's how it works and this is will be where the second thing of your magic, which is understanding better of your elements."

He rests his hands a bit, "These spells are given to us by the system inside your head like it was planted there out of the blue. At first, I was skeptical about it but it was just like that. No logical explanations or whatsoever."

"..."

"Anyway, the mood turned scary, isn't it? Well, I was just scaring you all," Jacob spoke before he continued, "But, even us can make our or your spell and it's up to you how you make it or how you do it."

Jacob coughs for a second before he continued, "And this is where the elements come."

Jacob moves slightly to the write and writes, "First and foremost, elements were also given by the system. Well, all these things have been given to us by it. Mhmm, the system chose an element that is perfect for you to use."

As the sound of chalks moved, the mouth of Jacob was doing the same.

"Example of an element is fire. This type of element is a common one. With those two in a mix, I can think of the spell of that element, at the same time, using the same element."

Jacob breaths, "Example of the spells I could conjure is fireball, rain of flame. They're many more but it is likely the common ones."

Jacob then draws a line that connects to the two before continuing, "I told you earlier that the two are connected, right? I think you can mix things by only having this information, without me explaining it more deeply."

"Now, I will explain to you why they're connected," Jacob paused, "Kuhum, the two are connected because the higher your magic stats are, the more you can conjure elements that have been given to you. To do it, you have to train yourself harder and make something unimaginable."

Jacob turned around to face his students and sighed. He felt like the teacher's senses he keep hearing are also slowly flowing inside him.

Feeling that thing inside him, Jacob hold the bridge of his nose and said, "Hmm... to understand better what I am saying, I'll give you guys a demonstration with an explanation. Still, you should go to the spell class okay! You will, okay?!"

The newbies nodded and they all began to stand on their seats, following Jacob towards the training area which is only beside the room they had been listening to.

It was still inside the room though.

Seeing the students all moving, Gin followed them towards the magic training area. It had a color sign on the floor, indicating the training area.

Outside which had a color green, inside that has the color yellow, and the center which has a color red.

Coming inside the area, everyone encircled the green area while Jacob placed himself on the red.

Seeing that the newbies were taking longer on encircling him, Jacob began to continue his discussion for them to hasten their pace.

"I'll tell you what elements I could do! I have four elements but the only available are only three because the last is a dangerous one. Well then, let's proceed!"

Jacob took a breath before he continued, "The three elements are Fire, Earth, Wind."

Chatter!

"Watch carefully!"

Snap!

Jacob snapped his finger, at the same time, three mist that has color each appeared in the but people would know what they're.

Fire is red, the earth is brown, and although the wind and air are the same, the people could see that the element had a color of white.

It was faint. Hardly even getting its glimpse with naked eyes.

"..."

It was then Jacob began to murmur some weird words in his mouth before the red mist turned to fire, and began to form the size of a normal house.

"This spell is called Fireball. A basic spell that any fire mage could conjure." Jacob spoke as he snapped his finger, concurrently, the fire vanish into thin air.

"Next!"

Snap!

After the snap, the student then saw the brown mist turn into a rock as it form a size of a big boulder, raised in the air, covering the light inside the training room.

"Although you can see nothing right now, this spell is what you called boulder. A basic spell of any earth mage could conjure." Jacob spoke as he snapped his finger, resulting in the big boulder disappearing.

It crumbled for a moment before it was gone after a few seconds.

"And the last one," Jacob spoke as he snap his finger, before the mist on the wind element started to be more visible.

"If we are ending this class, I want to leave something that could impress you all. Although wind element is not my forte, I can show you something good." Jacob said with a smile before snapping his finger thrice.

"..."

At that moment, the students saw the three winds encircling the whole training area, forming a medium type of tornado.

"Whirlwind,"

Whoosh!

The spell was small at first but it started to turn bigger as seconds went on. Even the things inside the area are being swallowed by the wind.

Snap!

A snap resounded with the whirlwind vanishing in a couple of seconds. Items and things that is swallowed inside earlier started to fall on the ground.

As they fall, Jacob smiled warmly at his students before he ended, "That's all for today, students."

Uh, just a quick note. Starting from the next chapter onwards, I might be doing the first point of view that is fully concentrating on Gin, of course. I think I have to show more of his feeling and thoughts to you guys so... yeah.

It will be either mixed with first pov or third pov. A chapter that is full first pov or vice versa. I will also continue to make more third pov as it goes on.

Anyway, it's just a thought of mine that I think will make the novel better. Another thing is to explore more and make myself become proficient in writing these kinds of things in the future.

Kuhum, that's it and everyone had a good day.
