New Reality

-Read my new book Nightmare Mythos!! As soon as I woke up, I was transferred to this weird place. It was so sudden that it made my mind couldn’t come up with any form of idea as this strange phenomenon was nothing I never heard or experienced, but I quickly gather my composure. Then, I realized, I was not the only one. To be honest, these are the things that I only read through novels and fantasy books but experiencing it myself wasn’t what I really wanted. Not even once. Reading was something I loved as it was fun. To others, it may be a time where they get out from harsh reality but that’s life, you face a lot of hardships. But strange. Why? Why am I here? No, why are we here? What’s our purpose for coming here? At least put a warning that I will get to go to another world! Just me is good! Questions formed which made me quite nervous but I calm myself down, as being nervous will be only a hinder to my thinking. I breathe. “First, let’s assume this is real.” After thinking so, I began to form a little plan inside my head. Preparing like a normal person would do when this kind of thing happens. I executed my plan in my head before waiting. As the timer was tickling down and thought that after its number’s hits zero, all of us are going back to our daily lives. [0:00] But it didn’t happen. After I saw what happened to that man with his head being sliced, the simple plan I had was crushed in an instant. Yet, that one act was enough for me to realize one simple thing. The thing is… it was a bitter pill to swallow. “This is real…” I was only assuming that it is but…it's just unfair. “There’s no going back…” … It doesn’t matter if you go back in time… It doesn’t matter if you’re a genius or an outstanding fighter… It doesn’t matter what challenges I will encounter… I will succeed, find answers to everything, and survive… Until everything ends. *** : Cover not mine. Just edited small things on it. If you're the owner, just tell me if you wanted it removed. : Keeping the story's setting simple as this is my first book. : So yeah, everyone who had read the novel regressor instruction manual would notice the large similarity in the first few chapters of mine and it is because I'm a fan of that novel, but I would tell it now as I think it should be known to you guys. Informing should be the right thing to do. : Although I have a cliche setting, I'll at least try something original. : Hey, if you're reading this, try to read now! Maybe some of you love a mind-blowing chapter one but I don't have that in my novel, instead, I'll make it good for the future chapters I will be making. Anyway, thank you for taking your time, and go read it!

Hand To Hand Combat Class

Inside a room that has seven people inside, awkwardness could be felt circulating. As soon as the group entered inside, they could only stay silent as talking didn't seem right in the given situation.

"Wait for me here," Gin broke the silence while removing his mask, before he goes to the kitchen, not even giving a glance at the group.

"..."

Minutes swiftly passed, Gin was back while bringing snacks in a tray from the kitchen.

"Geez, stop giving me those looks," Gin spoke with a playful tone, "Here are some snacks. I bought them after we guys talk three days ago. Try it, it's good."

Gin gets a piece of biscuit that is placed on a plate, alongside fruits and pies. He eats it but the only one who moves was Nash.

Others who also agreed to go inside the room are still embarrassed about the decision they made, making them stay frozen in their places.

"This is good. Did you buy this in one shop?" Nash asked as he continued to take many more biscuits, devouring them in his mouth.

Gin felt slightly surprised as he saw the regressor's actions right now weren't sometimes always seen. It felt like he was seeing a carefree Nash. More like a baby him.

"It is good, right?" Gin commented as he smiled faintly while having those thoughts inside, "If you want, I can tell you the store. Oh wait, I also have something else."

Gin stands up from his seat and goes back to the kitchen. After doing what he had to do, he placed cups on everyone's seat first before bringing an orange juice on a bottle.

"Since alcohols are not allowed—" Gin paused as soon as he turned seeing that everyone beside Nash wasn't moving, before he continued, "Hmm... still not eating, still quiet, no one's talking. How about everyone leave, well except you Nash."

Everyone started to pick the snacks they wanted to eat, hearing Gin's threat. They involuntary do so.

On the other hand, Gin nodded his head before he started to pour the cups of everyone. Just like that, the room started to feel comfortable.

"Oy, drink this. You don't want to choke yourself right?" Gin spoke as he patted Grey's back, seeing him started to cough the biscuits inside his mouth.

He was also the last one he had poured the cup on, making the coughing take a little longer.

Done doing everything he needed, Gin sits down and said warmly, "All right. let's talk all night."

The group was only silent for a couple of seconds before they started to talk about different kinds of stuff. During the time they train, some funny experiences they saw.

All of them are having a good time.

Chatter!

At the side, Gin was looking at them with a satisfied smile not until the group turned their heads to him, also asking him a question.

"What happen to you this day?" Jia asked while having a mouthful of pies inside her mouth.

"It's a bit tiring today," Gin answered before drinking his juice, "There's this guy named Travis and wants to join the group. I can tell that he's good at archery. He's not pretty bad and if he wants to, he can—"

Gin continued to talk about another archer which made the group disquieted. All of a sudden, they remember the thing that happen earlier when they were supposed to meet in his room.

The group started to connect everything with Nancy being the first and the archer being the second. Alas, they concluded one thing.

'Will he leave us?' Is the thought they had in mind. Nash is still devouring the biscuits though as he was so engrossed at how good it is.

They were at the moment of thinking deeper when suddenly, Gin speak by saying, "Oh, I think you guys have to go. When I said to talk all night, that was only a joke."

Gin paused, "Like hell would I let you do it, resulting in you guys being late at your classes tomorrow if it happens."

"G-Gin... did something happen between you and that woman?" Kisha asked with a mix of serious and anxious tone as she saw him walking right in front of the door.

"Nothing did happen if you're curious. She is just a teacher of a history class and I'm her student." Gin calmly answered as he opened the door of his room, "Go out now. I have to sleep too, you know?"

Gin let out another yawn from his mouth, making the group believe that he was really tired today. They also noticed that he's been doing it hence they stand up and walk outside of the room at a slow pace.

Gin peeked his head at one person, seeing him not leaving before he decided to get all the biscuits available and give them all to Nash.

Although he was expressionless, Gin noticed Nash's eyes seems to be sparkling a bit when he sees them.

One by one, the group started to go out with Gin smiling at them before he closed the door, leaving the words, "Bye guys."

Thud!

"..."

Misunderstanding his words makes Kisha, Jasmin, and Grey anxious. It felt like his goodbye earlier was the last they would hear from him as it felt like they were parting ways right here.

"Hey, when Gin is saying his experience, he is not hinting about leaving the group, right?" Kisha carefully asked as her face didn't seem right on her mature persona.

"Ha-haha-hahaha. U-uncle leaving us? Then what's the purpose of training harder?" Jasmin commented, not knowing what to do if that situation happened.

The three worried people started to walk with heavy footsteps towards their rooms. On the contrary, the women started to converse with Nash, who is eating his biscuits nonstop.

He was just listening to the two as the biscuits were just too good that his mouth didn't stop swallowing a bit.

Gin, inside his room, immediately sleep on his bed and decided to just clean his room tomorrow. It was a rough day for him.

...

In a prison cell, a woman was tied up with chains on her wrist and legs but she was unscathed. Although she is inside a cell, she receives proper treatment unlike the others.

"This is different from what I saw... Wait, what time is it now?" She muttered under her breath while looking at the chain on her hand that didn't even hurt much.

"I need to have a strong heart... I'll just need to wait patiently... I-I know that Master will rescue me but... I wish it would be sooner..." She spoke, trying to be strong as possible while calming her pounding heart.

But she can't.

She was trying so hard but it made her anxious about everything that is happening around her.

After everything that she saw and experienced the events herself, she strongly believes that every person she knew is a shit person.

Even so, there is still something she keeps holding on to.

Her powers.

She thought that the images she saw were just a bunch of crap but when it started to happen one at the time with her witnessing it all, she started to believe that it is all true.

"Hey, Master of my dreams, I'll wait for you to rescue me. Until that time comes, I will forever hope..." The woman murmured under her breath, "I just hope that everything I saw has some slight changes, like rescuing me sooner."

She paused, "Is it possible?"

The woman formed a bitter smile on her face before continuing, "It probably won't."

Thus, the night keeps going with her sleeping.

It was morning and Gin was full of energy. Although he was still a bit tired, a night of sleep was a simple solution for it.

After cleaning and doing his morning routine, Gin leaves his room and had his direction to the class he had in mind yesterday.

To the hand-to-hand combat class.

'Where is that class again...' Gin thought inwardly as he roam his eyes on the road.

Students are entering the classes they wanted to learn, finding the classes they wanted. They were all doing the same thing as him. What he didn't do was to form a kind of friendship like the others he is seeing right now.

Gin let all those things be as he continued to focus on his way.

A few minutes passed, a path was seen on his way which is familiar to him. Gin dashes towards the path and finally stop at some point when he was not in front of a familiar door.

[Hand To Hand Combat Class]

Feeling slight excitement, Gin opened the door with a faint smile on his face.

Creak!

Opening the door, he was expectant about the instructor teaching the class.

Was it going to be a fighter instructor that is good at his things? A large man with big muscles, demonstrating his battle power? Or a hit lady teaching her special skills? Whatever it is, it would be a good one.

Having those thoughts inside, Gin started to find where the instructor is by roaming his eyes around.

He thought there would be other newbies but no one was inside. Well, it soon disappear when one was nearby but from physique alone, he knew what the guy is.

"Instructor!" Gin shouted happily.

"..."

That very loud shout would make everyone hear it, especially if it was someone nearby. Hence, the instructor slowly turned around.

It was at that moment that the smile that formed under his mask instantly disappeared after the instructor had stopped turning. He froze at the spot.

The instructor also seemed to be stupefied about the event when he also knew who it was.

"..."

The two could only stare at each other, not until Gin broke it when he shouted with disbelief.

"Ahh! Why are you here?!"

He was deeply surprised. His tone felt like he had seen a ghost.

Gin watched the instructor was having the same expression, seeing him holding a bow in his hands.

"Ahh! The same as you! I thought you're just going to sleep forever in your room!" Hans shouted with disbelief in his tone as he pointed his shaky hand at him.

He was also surprised.

"Why are you here, annoying instructor? This class clearly had a sign of hand-to-hand combat outside. It is! Hmm... it was right?" Gin shouted, at the time, questioning himself.

"I'm here because I will be teaching this class, you arrogant kid." Hans retorts, "And annoying? The word is perfect for yourself but add another one, will you? Let's say... a disrespectful kid."

Hans scoffed, "Wow, you all have three things. Arrogant, annoying, and also disrespectful. Looks like I'll have to beat the crap on you to remember your innocent self, kid."

"Huh? Do you want to have a go, old man?! Wait, I don't have time for that." Gin strongly disagrees, "You should go out and tell the real instructor to come."

Hans sighed before answering, "Are you now deaf, masked guy? I said I'll be teaching this class, right? The instructor is unavailable yet fret not as I learn a lot from him."

"If he's unavailable, then do you know where he is?" Gin asked.

Hans nodded, "He is retired a year ago. He is now working on a tavern. Anyway, since you're here, you are interested in learning something, right?"

"..."

Gin didn't answer as he decided to scan the spacious room first. he saw weapons on the side messily placed on the ground. It was literally different kinds of weapons which is not suited for a class that used his hands as a weapon.

Watching his gaze at the weapons, Hans interjected, "You must be wondering, right? Well, I'm trying something different here. We'll be using different kinds of weapons, knowing if your enemy had that weapon and defend yourself from it."

Hans fakes a cough, "Of course, I don't want to tell you it right now. That will be later."

Gin turned his head towards Hans and asked, "Them this is not hand-to-hand class anymore, right?"

"No, it is still hand to hand," Hans spoke as he began to humor his words alone, "If you pick a weapon you need to practice, you will still use hands, right? Hahaha."

Hearing it made Gin chortle a little as he mused inwardly, 'That was slightly funny.'

"Enough of it," Hans coughs again before he continued, "You saw what happen yesterday right? When a bow breaks, an archer will become useless. I think this is the idea you thought at the time you leave, hence we're having the same thing."

Hans paused, "So, I'm here and will teach you about the lessons I learn from old man."

"Then, what about your archery class?" Gin asked the question he was curious about, as soon as he heard Hans will be teaching the class.

"You don't need to worry about that. I already said yesterday that I'll be teaching two classes. This one in the morning and that class in the afternoon."

Hearing that Hans already planned it all out, Gin nodded, "You're right. When you said that a bow breaks, the archer is done. Unless that certain archer has more things, leading him to be not useless."

Gin paused, "You can teach me those things, right?"

"Of course I am. What am I here for?" Hans spoke confidently as he smile, "Now listen, in this class, I'll be teaching you two things. Well, I already said this a while ago and I'll just repeat it."

He raised his index finger, "First, I'll be teaching you how to do a hand-to-hand combat."

He paused while raising his middle finger next, "Second, I'll be teaching you hand to hand combat but with weapons. You will choose the weapon you like to use and fight it against me."

"Of course, you'll have to defend yourself from me. And..."

As he listened to Hans's words, Gin started to see him in a new light. Time passed, he felt like he is not bad after all.
