ACTING-2

*3rd POV*

"AVA!!!!" Aqualon screamed while attacking the ice wall with water blasts

The rest were startled by the sudden turn of events and hurridely started to heal

The way elementals healed was simple. They just used the element present everywhere and absorbed it to heal. The only problem was with biological ones who had human like body. The animal elementals like the owl or the snake that Leo found just ate other animal of same element and just absorb it to heal whereas the likes of rock bear who are held together by spiritual runes use elements in nature to form their bodies. But how do these ones who were essentially humans heal themselves? The answer is both, except the cannibalism part....well there are crimals who resort to that but a history lesson for later.

They used their element to heal. Let's talk about Celis who is a air elemental, he just uses wind to heal himself. Now this shouldn't be possible but at higher levels they can switch between biological and elemental forms at will. So he becomes air, uses air to build the part he lost and switches back to base form. Now they could just stick with elemental forms but higher levels also means the destruction they cause is downright catastrophic if not controled (Like the water cat who made everything wet around it) so they mostly stick to their biological (Flesh,blood and stuff) forms.

Back to the story.

Celis was surrounded by a small storm while Cera was covered in lightning. Now the problem was with Regis who is the most severely injured amongst them.

He tried using the fire element but for some reason it was hard to gather it, same with the others.

Even though Cera and Celis were healing themselves, the speed was slow, a lot slower than expected.

So Regis had another way to heal. If he can't gather fire from the surroundings, he will simply create it by burning something and he did.

He just created a fireball and fired it at the nearest tree. The plan was to burn it and use the fire to heal but instead of burning

*Drip*

It melted

The group was dumbfounded at this.

"Wait.....What?"

Regis created more fireballs and launched them at every nearby tree and they all melted into water

"T-This means..." Aqualon had slumped on the ground with despair on his face

*Slap*

He looked at Cera who had slapped him

"She isn't dead"

He just lokked at her with blank eyes "And how do you know?"

"For the same reason we are still breathing" Celis commented from the side while Regis was staring at the puddle

"Haha....hahahahahaha" Regis started laughing "That guy...." Regis stopped and looked at the frozen outpost

"He was playing from the start"

Everyone:- ?

"The outpost wasn't his domain ...." he paused looking at the trees around them

"....It's the entire damn forest"

*Rumble!*

...

-Inside-

•After Ava sealed the wall•

Ava closed her eyes waiting to be killed as she couldn't stop the sword

'?'

She felt it stop right after it touched her neck. She thought he was going to freeze her but it never happened.

She opened her eyes and still felt very much alive

*Sigh*

"You win"

Leo just sighed and threw the sword in air as it turned into mist before turning into a ice throne

Just as he backed away, Ava turned around with a ice spike around her hand and tried to attack him sadly her hand froze few millimeters away from his face

He just stared with mild amusement before walking to the throne and siting down

"Stab yourself"

As if following his order, her hand against her will slowly turned towards her before speeding towards her eyes

She hurriedly grabbed it with her right hand and stopped it before trying to disperse the ice but couldn't so she did the next best thing

*Rip*

She ripped her arm that was covered and finally was able to move whatever was left of it

Clap...Clap....Clap

"Okay that was a bit over the top but well done" Leo was surprised by this and just clapped his hands with a stunned face

She just shot him a blank look before turning back into her chibi/child form, healing it in a blink

Ava was a peak rank commander. She saves or seals her spirit energy by turning into chibi/child form and her transformation is something like a multiplier to her already peak powers granting her the ability of a pseudo or a half-step King.

"I see...you used the left over mass/energy from the transformation to heal...impressive but now you're even weaker than you first arrived"

Ava just looked in disbelief at him "And that's the reason why you controled my arm ?"

"Well that and as a warning" he just acted nonchalant about the whole thing "Don't do it again"

She just scoffed before creating a ice throne....well she tried but the ice just refused to obey her

If controlling it was like taking it by hand and guiding it, then the ice just swated her hand away like a bug

"?" She just stared at her hand for a moment in confusion before trying again only to fail and this time the ice quite literally formed a hand and slapped her hand away

"Pfft"

She quickly turned head towards Leo who was trying his best not to laugh

"You...." She angrily walked towards him and held his collar forgetting the fact she was trying to kill him few seconds ago

"What have you done ?"

He just raised his hand in surrender while smiling

"This is my 'domain'. Bold of you to assume that you could just control it" he just flicked her head making her back away while rubbing it

He chuckled at her behavior and created a chair for her

"Have a seat"

She glared for a moment "I want a throne too"

'She really does act like a child huh?' He thought before shaking his head and created it

She narrowed her eyes at him "You just thought something rude didn't you?"

"....No"

"....." She just deadpaned before sitting and continued staring

They both didn't speak and just stared at each other before Ava eventually broke the silence

"So why didn't you kill me ?"

"Do you want me to?"

"Nope"

"Then what's the problem?"

"Tell me the reason why you stopped "

He made a confused face "Cause you won?"

Ava pointed her finger at him "Liar"

Leo showed a harmless smile "Now what makes you say that ?"

She just shot him a blank look "You want me belive that you, who could control water fell for the most obvious trick in the book....Do you think I'm a fool?"

"No, you're not but the others are from the looks of it"

"You riled them up on purpose didn't you?"

"Yup"

"Then why am I still here?"

"For the same reason you stopped attacking me"

She leaned back on the chair making herself comfortable "Explain"

'There's still some time left huh ' Leo thought while staring at the ceiling for a moment and looked back at Ava who was waiting for an answer

"You see unlike the others who were just oozing with killing intent you *points at her* were the only one who looked like they were dragged from their house against their will "

"That's it ?"

"And the fact that you use ice"

"And why does it matter if I use it?"

"If you use ice it means you are the same as me" he got up and started walking around "You see your elements some if not most of the times change the user's mind or their behavior. Take your team for example"

"Fire is explosive and quick to anger which I suppose is your leader's element ?"

"That's Regis and he isn't our leader"

"Water is always changing so can't really bet on that, Air can be a gentle breeze but also turns into a violent tempest ....." he paused as if remembering something traumatizing and shivered a little getting curious looks from Ava

*Ahem*

He coughed to hide his little slip before making a serious face

"Back to it.....Lightning is quick and too energetic to sit down quietly"

She nodded at that "True, Cera never stays in one place for more than a minute"

"I know right, sometimes they are just a pain to deal with" he joined in while sighing before pointing at both of them

"But we are ice"

"We are machines driven by logic instead of emotions....for most of the time anyways"

Ava had only joined in to attack because she thought she had a chance but everything went to hell when he casually controled her arm. It was at that moment she knew, they never even had a chance so she gave up and hence the current situation with both of them acting like old friends.

"And your point being ?"

"My point, little fox...."

She flinched in her seat when he said that and snapped her head towards Leo who was standing on her right "How did you...?"

He smirked and made a sush gesture "Secret" and went to his throne

"The point is you are the only one who will listen and won't jump to take my head"

"Listen to what exactly?"

"That I am not your enemy"

She just shot a 'Are you serious?' look and raised her eyebrow "Isn't it too late for that ?"

He made a thinking pose "Hmm....not that late if you think about it. Heck it's better than the other alternative" And smiled at her

"Which is?"

"I burn this planet to dust"

*Shiver*

Ava shivered in fright as she saw a sea of purple fire that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. Her first instinct was to run but she couldn't move from the weight of the pressure she was feeling. She glanced at the sorce and saw Leo in front covered in flames with his eyes glowing white.

'What the heck is that??' she questioned in her mind as she saw another pair of glowing eyes looking over his shoulders when the flames formed a monster that rushed towards her. She closed her eyes by instinct before she felt a hand on her head

She looked up to see Leo standing in front of her while smiling

"But luckily for you, I'm not a genocidal maniac and you guys haven't really given any reason for me to be one.....yet" he ruffled her hair much to her annoyance but it did snap her out of it

She took a deep breath before calming down and slapped his hand away

"Then about our legions?"

"Colatral damage.... plus a little bit of a power up" he muttered the last part which she didn't hear

"And the bomb?"

"Totally a misunderstanding....if they really didn't do it and the fact that I was young and drunk on power" he sighed like a old man while shaking his head

Ava just just stared deadpan at him for a moment before going back to normal "So, what changed?"

"I looked at everything from a different perspective and grew up I guess ?"

"I somehow find that hard to believe with all this" she waved her hand around to all the evil lair design

"Ah that...." he scratched his head in embarrassment "Well I was bored and wanted to confirm few things..."

"What things ?"

"Just few things...."

Ava nodded her head before gesturing him to continue "And you guys were perfect bait"

"....For what?"

Leo looked at the ceiling and snapped his finger making the entire thing vanish into mist

And soon as he did

*Rumble!*

Apocalyptic pressure decended upon them for a split second

The pressure made Ava fall down from her seat but just as she about to hit the ground Leo had grabbed her mid fall and made her stand on her feet while fighting the pressure with his own

"Well, Time's up "

KING VS KING

"What the...." Celis looked above and saw something that scared the life out of him

*Crack!*

The sky had cracked and turned red after that pressure

*Drip*

It started raining before the rain turned into vapour by shear heat that was coming from the Crack and the entire sky turned into flames

"Is that....?" Aqualon trailed off while watching a flaming figure decend slowly to the ground

"Yeah....General is here" Regis quickly absorbed the flames and healed himself

Sorin had burned the entire fake sky before flames slowly spread from him and melted the entire forest

He glanced the outpost without a roof and found Ava besides the human who was standing with hands behind his back looking straight at him

Sorin slowly floated down and started walking towards Leo while the group quickly got back together and watched from the sidelines

Ava joined the group and was immediately bear hugged by a crying Aqualon

She just sighed before looking at Sorin and Leo who were just standing there without moving

"So....now what ?" Leo was still acting pretty chill about the whole thing

"Now I either capture you or kill you and take your body as a research material but I personally hope you fight so I could kill you"

"Oh I'll fight alright, but before that, care to explain the 'research material' part ?"

Sorin just answered with a straight face "No"

"Okay rude...." he sighed and cracked his neck side to side

"Before we begin why not let the kids leave? They'll just be in our way" He pointed at the group that were staring daggers except Ava who quickly dragged them all away despite their protest

"But sis we can help!!" Aqualon screamed while getting dragged

She just said "No we can't" And increased her speed

As soon as the group left both of them leaned forward and vanished

*Boom!!!*

A huge shockwave spread as both of them punched each other in the face before catching their fists with other hand and expelling the full might of their elements

'Shit!!'

Celis cursed in his mind and created a wind barrier in hopes to negate that wave whereas Cera wasn't that hopeful and used her reserves not before straining her core and covered the whole group in lightning and blinked them out of the it's range

They were transported to random hills at the border when Cera started cracking

Celis picked her up and made her sit on a rock before supplying his core energy with her

"Celis you will put yourself in danger of you do that!!" Aqualon shouted when he saw tiny cracks forming on his hands

"It's alright, I can connect with wind far easier here so no need to worry"

The only reason they were having difficulty in healing was because the forest was briming with Ice elements and the rest of the elements were there but less quantity. The moment they got out of the forest they connected with their elements

"We should be out of their range right ?" Aqualon raised a flag and got smacked by a angry Ava "Don't raise any flags!"

"Too late" Regis muttered while pointing towards the fight

*Roar!!*

They all turned their heads to see a giant eastern Frost Dragon against a huge Flaming Eagle roaring at each other

Ava stared solemnly at the giants 'Been a long since I saw general's Aura being unleashed but that guy....what the heck is that thing?'

Sadly for the younger generation they didn't know the existence of dragons as they were long gone from this planet. The remaining ones had already became one with the world after going senile and dying after losing their minds. Each dragon that died had became the element they had. Fire dragons became the volcanic region of the East whereas the Frost dragons became the Snow region of the West.

It was a forgotten history as this was long before humanoid elementals existed and not.to mention some previous Emperors refused to accept the fact that beings stronger than them existed and did what every ruler does the best, erase that part of history. Making sure no one knows that they ever existed.

Luckily someone had a hunger of knowledge and was able to save few things related to it which were later classified as restricted information and sealed only to be seen by Kings or Emperors. Later that information was unsealed and just seen as a thing of myths and legends so the younger generation never really bothered learning about it.

History lesson end....

Now continuing with the present

They watched the shockwave destroy the entire area with icy blizzard and fiery winds spreading with it

"No wonder he didn't take us seriously" Regis muttered with the group that had surprised pikachu face while staring at the freezing and flaming hell in front of them

"Let's just move further away from here"

Celis picked up Cera who had stopped cracking all over and was in the process of healing her leg and they left not noticing an additional person that had tagged along with their group

*3rd POV*

Leo caught Sorin's fist and he did the same

Sorin quickly pulled him by his hand to disrupt his balance and punched him in the face while propelling it with fire

But Leo took it head on and rotated to reduce the damage and increased his momentum

He used his force against him and landed a backhanded fist on Sorin's face making him slide back not before he managed to kick his face using the same trick

After hitting each other they backed away.

Sorin glance at the ice that's forming on his cheek where Leo punched him and burned it whereas Leo just spat out a tooth that bounced on the ground before turning to ice particle

Sorin looked at that and thought 'No one said it was going to be easy but how the hell is he even doing this ?'

As far as he could remember humans were never capable of this. Their gods were another story entirely but this one is a anomaly.

'No wonder the old freaks wanted him as a test subject. Someone who can reach the power of a king without a contract with us or our gods'

"Done with the inner monologue?" He snapped out and looked at Leo who was waiting for his next move

'I can see he's not really serious about this. Almost feels like an insult so let's see how you handle this' Veins appeared on Sorin's forehead in anger as he saw him

Sorin release his Aura in an attempt to pressure him

*Eagle sound*

'Been a long time since I unleashed this, should be enough for now....Why isn't he affected by it?'

*Whistle*

"That's cool, let me show you mine.... although it's a work in progress" Leo just shrugged it off like it was nothing before he grabbed in front of him as if holding something

"Sit upon the frozen Heavens, Hyōrinmaru!"

With a shout, mist spread everywhere making him raise his guard against a unexpected attack....but it never came

What did however was a large shadow, waving in mist like a snake before the mist vanished

"T-that's Impossible!!" Sorin shouted as he stared at the large Ice Dragon with the human having some icy scales on his face and a sword that appeared out of nowhere.

And just like that everything clicked, like a puzzle being completed.

'No wonder his majesty wanted this human dead. Now everything makes sense. Both Emperors moving against each other for a human for no reason'

'I knew long ago that both of them never allowed elementals of same element to reach Emperor realm as they were keeping each other in check'

Emperor isn't just a title but it's also a rank where one can change the entires world's elements to their own. Like let's say someone is a Fire Elemental, they can literally change other element to their own like changing water molecules to fire or earth particles to fire

The irony of the situation was both of them are stuck at a bottleneck and unable to increase their strength further as both were of same element so unless they figured out a way to leave this world

'And this human breaks that balance huh?'

He casually swung his sword around creating a large mountain as the dragon behind him roared "Let's fight for real shall we?" He taunted while making a 'Come on' gesture

Sorin however just stood there while pondering

'I somehow can't feel any pressure from the dragon. In legends it's said that they rivaled Emperors and could beath them quite easily but this one feels like a....'

"Imitation?" He looked up and saw the difference between his manifestation and Leo's and noticed a little difference

His eagle didn't have a shadow while Leo's dragon did which shouldn't be possible as eagle was a product or a manifestation of Sorin's Aura which should be a metaphysical things, only seen but without any weight or a substance

Meaning Leo's dragon was a product of his element not the Aura

'This brat....' Sorin cursed in his mind and got ready to fight.

He was angry that he almost fell for that. He turned into his elemental form which was a humanoid with dark red body and bright yellow 'aura' emitting from it. His surroundings got even hotter as it turned into magma from the heat and started boiling

Meanwhile the ground on Leo's side was frozen solid and the air was getting colder and colder with each passing second

Right now the forest was a mix between a stormy blizzard and a raging fire on each sides with their domains canceling each other out

"Round two...Start!" Leo shouted and vanished leaving behind sonic booms

'Fast!' Sorin quickly dodged the slash and punched Leo in the ribs planing to bast him with a compressed explosion

Leo had already anticipated that he would dodge and quickly stopped his fist by catching it in between his left elbow and left knee.

Sorin used his free hand to fire a laser straight at at his which he dodged by ducking.

He quickly used this chance to rip his hand out of the hold which was frozen and regenerated it in a split second

Leo swung his sword in air, creating ice dragons that launched towards him.

Sorin saw this and stomped his feet on ground creating fire pillars that swallowed them whole

-Meanwhile with the commander group-

As they were watching the fight Celis suddenly exclaimed with 'Wait a second' making everyone turn towards him

"Say....isn't this the Mountain Kings territory?" He asked while pointing towards the almost endless mountain range

'Ah... Crap' x 4

The group thought at the same time before Regis calmed them down

"Don't worry, according to the rules Kings can't attack commanders even if they are from the enemy empire"

Cera:- You sure?

Regis:- .....No

Everyone :- •__•

*Boom!*

A loud explosion suddenly went off making them concentrate on the fight again not noticing a humanoid figure watching the battle from the peak above them

Kings of the surrounding regions had already gathered to watch the fight cause why not, they didn't have anything to do other then hunt for invaders which for some odd reason were awfully quite, so they had gathered at the border of the Sun forest
