Chapter 3: A Friend

Minutes later, multiple screams erupted in the hall. The screams varied from one of shock to one of distraught and fear. Peeking through a crack in the room door, small green humanoids were running around wielding knives. 'They are around three feet tall (91 cm for you weird people),' June thought, 'I always wondered how easy it'd be to beat Chucky. Guess I'll find out soon.'

The hall was T shaped with my dorm being one of the dead ends. Looking down to the opposite end, a girl was being backed into the corner by a goblin. She seemed to be unarmed and might've been unlucky to get caught by one. Slipping through my door, I softly closed it and ran to the wall bracing my back against it. Creeping down to the intersection I looked to check that no goblin would be able to spot me while I'm crossing. Once the coast was clear I ran across as quietly as possible keeping the pace until I was standing behind the goblin. Blood was dripping from its knife while there were cuts all over the girl's body.

'This little shit is obviously playing with her.' Feeling disgust and rage I lifted the hockey stick over my head and smashed it down on its own. There was an audible crack and the girl and I both watched as the goblin's body went limp with only my lodged hockey stick holding the body up. Blue- black blood started to flow rapidly out of its skull making the girl gag and leaving me feeling queasy.

'Although its disgusting it reminds me of The Friday or Massacre of the Chainsaw.' Lowering the hockey stick until the goblin's chest touched the floor, I stepped in its back to pull my stick out. Holding it out to the side I flashed it off a little then faced the girl. "Hello, are you ok? What's your name?" I held my hand out to help her step around the blood and body. 'She still seems shaken up. I'll let her take her time.' Suddenly her eyes widened and she pointed behind me.

Quickly turning around (because who tf slow turns. That's why they all die in horror movies ugh) I saw the source of terror. Two goblins stood five ft away looking at us like prey. I don't think these are going to be taunting like the dead one. Slightly pushing her back into the corner I took up a defensive stance, only getting a second to prepare before the first goblin launched at me.

Seeing it aim towards my right thigh I swung the hockey stick causing it to stop abruptly. Following the swing I used the same leg it wanted to get and kicked it as hard as I could into a wall. Walking to finish it with a blow to the head, I heard a screeching sound making me quickly realize I forgot there were two.

Looking around I saw that it was running towards the girl. Fuck. Sprinting to it, I grabbed its neck right as it was about it stab her and slammed it into the ground. Immediately discarding the hockey stick I reached for one of the knives strapped on me and stab it through the eye twice guaranteeing its death. Taking the knife out I threw it into the chest of the first, making it screech an irritating sound. Picking up the hockey stick I swung it into its head a couple times realizing that the top of a goblin's head is softer than the sides. It died after a few hits though so that's fine.

Panting I checked myself for any injuries that adrenaline didn't make me feel. Finding none I turned to the girl and asked for her name once more.

"Tanya." She said with a shaky voice while stepping towards me. "Well Tanya, I'm June it's nice to meet you. My dorm is just down the hall so I'll bring you there soon ok." Silently Tanya nodded her head with tears dripping down her face.
