Snatching and consuming the Op-Op Fruit marked a pivotal shift in the future of Trafalgar Law. As the narrative transformed, Law assumed a crucial role in the plot, altering the world line. In return, Arias received a system reward—an opportunity to master one of the eight magical skills, [Magic Machine Hundred Refining].
As Arias submerged into the ground, the system's reward manifested. Intricate knowledge of weapon refining inundated his mind, and he effortlessly mastered a special weapon refining technique.
To evade detection, Arias burrowed deep, concealing Rosinante's body and the partially consumed Op-Op Fruit. Emerging underground, he swiftly headed back towards the shore.
At the Iron Rod Pirate Ship, over a dozen warships approached from various directions.
Observing the warships, Hancock contemplated countermeasures.
"Board one of the ships and inquire about their presence!" ordered Headquarters Admiral Buddha Sengoku to a Vice Admiral.
A warship docked with the Iron Rod Pirate Ship.
"People on board, come out for questioning! We're Marine!" the sailors shouted, receiving no response.
The Vice Admiral turned to Sengoku for guidance. Sengoku directed, "Go up and investigate."
"Yes!"
A group of marines boarded the Iron Rod Pirate Ship, armed and ready, yet their thorough search revealed no sign of any crew.
"Report! This is a ghost ship!"
"No one?"
Sengoku, frowning, had received previous reports stating the ship had mysteriously arrived and remained stationary. Logically, it shouldn't have any occupants.
"Take a team and search it again thoroughly. I'll head to the island to secure the Op-Op Fruit," Sengoku ordered, prioritizing the critical transaction.
On the shores of Mignon Island, Arias, emerging from the ground, nervously observed the numerous warships surrounding the Iron Rod Pirate Ship.
"Crap, Hancock!"
Leaping into the sea, he briefly felt weakened before returning to normal, albeit slightly less vigorous than usual.
"It seems the Immortal Thief Liuku can indeed alleviate Devil Fruit side effects. However, whether the duration is too short or the level of Immortal Thief Liuku is too low, the side effects haven't entirely vanished."
Swimming determinedly, Arias reached the ship's underside and spotted Hancock and Salome in the water.
Seeing Arias, Hancock swam over joyfully. The two embraced underwater, unable to speak. The Liuku Immortal Thief granted them the ability to use fetal breath, extracting air through their pores and allowing them to stay submerged without haste.
After a while, the Vice Admiral, finding no valuable information, sailed away.
After waiting for a while and ensuring Marine's battleship was gone, they returned to the ship.
"Arias, did you get it?" Hancock, soaked and alluring, inquired.
Despite recent skin-to-skin contact, Arias found himself momentarily distracted by the allure of her wet appearance. "I got it! Let's leave quickly!"
Regaining focus, he swiftly reached the cab and directed the ship at full speed in the opposite direction.
In the distance, Sengoku, at the shore of Mignon Island, observed the unmanned ship's sudden movement. Sensing trouble, he realized it was too late to pursue. The priority was securing the Op-Op Fruit.
"I hope it's just my imagination," he mused, leading his troops ashore.
"Report! A child found!"
They discovered Luo leaning against a pine tree, 80% of his skin now tainted white, emitting intense heat.
"He seems to be sick."
"I recognize this disease! It's lead disease, and it's contagious! Everyone, stay away from him!" a fearful Marine major exclaimed.
Sengoku, dismissing the notion, delivered a swift kick, "Idiot! This disease is not contagious!"
Sengoku sighed, "But this disease is terminal. Looking at this child, it seems that he is already in an advanced stage."
"Take him with you. Although it is almost impossible to cure him, we will try our best."
They continued moving forward and soon found the monitored ruins. Despite serious injuries, Barreiros, unable to escape, was discovered by Sengoku.
Upon seeing the corpses on the ground, a cold feeling gripped Sengoku's heart.
"What happened? Where's the Op-Op Fruit?"
Wishing Barreiros had disclosed the fruit's hiding place, Sengoku was met with a miserable laugh, "Sengoku Admiral, you are late. The Op-Op Fruit has been snatched away!"
"What!"
Dizziness set in as Sengoku urgently questioned, "Who took it away?"
Barreiros, shaking his head, pleaded, "I don't know him, but I remember his appearance, Sengoku Admiral. There is only so much I can do. Please let me live."
He then described Rosinante's appearance. Sengoku, who had known Rosinante since childhood, couldn't believe it.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
Barreiros nodded.
"Seal the entire island immediately! Find the person who robbed the Op-Op Fruit!"
