First step to becoming a Hero

At the crack of the dawn in the Aizawa residence, the new inhabitant, Jera had slowly woken up. He woke up a little later than he did when he was in the mountain. He could only blame the comfort of a soft bed and reflect on himself for not trying to make a comfortable bed by making soft cotton plants.

"Morning Jörm"

His snake companion who was found coiled around him tightly, looking like an anaconda ready to strangle their prey. Although it was uncomfortable he was already accustomed to how Jörm sleeps so he thought little about it. Jörm hearing his greeting mumbled, "...Morning..... just give me 5 minutes to warm up..."

Hearing his tired response he could only wait for him to warm up, after all, he was a snake, a reptile with a cold blooded nature. While he was waiting for his scaly friend to fully awaken from his drowsy state, the door of his room was knocked.

"I'm coming in."

Aizawa who was already awaken was also preparing to go to his teaching job to sleep in the staff room. Wanted to see if Jera was awake and if so notify him that he was leaving the house, but to his surprise what greeted him was a massive anaconda coiling the boy as if it was preparing to strangle his prey.

"Good morning Aizawa-san"

He, who was still taking in the sight of the boy being wrapped and seemingly about to become food was left speechless at how little the boy was acting. While it did take him a few seconds to recover from his daze also responded," Yeah... Moring, is it alright to assume he does this every morning?" pointing at the oversized snake.

To his expectation, the boy nodded his head sighing, "Yeah, he is after all, a cold blooded animal so he needs a bit of heat to get his day started and usually I'm the closest heat source so he coils around me in the morning. I'm already used to it so I don't mind but I hope Jörm would sometimes loosen his grip, it always leaves marks all over my body in the morning, it's not annoying but it's embarrassing."

Aizawa who heard this couldn't understand how he was fine with that and asked "If you're embarrassed why don't you tell Jörm to loosen his grip then?" the boy hearing was about to answer was interrupted when the motionless snake started to move and faced him responding for the boy, "I do it so I can rub my scent so lower critters in the mountain won't annoy Jera. Also, don't call me Jörm only Jera gets to call me that."

Hearing all this he got that idea and tried to finish what he first started, "Alright, Jörmungandr I was just here to say my greeting and tell you that I'm leaving to go to my day job." Already turning around, as he had accomplished his initial reason to interact with the boy he was about to leave the room when he felt someone grab him and exclaim, "Wait, Aizawa-san. You're a pro hero and you are doing a teaching job, right? Can I ask if your teaching job is around hero academies?"

Feeling slightly uncomfortable as he was faced with a snake directly in front of him when he turned around to answer the boy he shrugged it off and answered, "Yes, your right I am working at a hero oriented highschool. It's the most prestigious around here, U.A Acadamy."

Jera hearing that Aizawa was a teacher and a U.A one, couldn't help but feel fortunate he had all the things he needed for information and connection to start his path as an aspiring hero would dream of. Not letting go of the chance he rapidly continued, "Aizawa-san, I want to be a hero! Can you tell me what I'll need to enter U.A?"

The hero listening to the boy was quiet. He was thinking about the boy's potential, (He seems like a boy with good character... He even has a unique and powerful quirk that I still don't know its abilities besides the fact it can grow to a tremendous size..)

While he was still pondering over the potential of the boy in front of the snake that was also observing the hero who was revealed to be a teacher can only address, "How does a man who looks like he hadn't shaved in 4 months even get a job at a prestigious academy?!"

Aizawa hearing the snake spitting poisonous insults about him glared at the snake using his quirk giving him a threatening look explaining, "The school doesn't care about appearance, and my quirk is extremely helpful in a hero aspiring high school in case of students losing control of the quirk." after his explanation the snake seemingly losing interest to him only bobbed its head and retracted on the boy's neck. As he was tired of this sentient quirk always lashing out he came to the conclusion on what to tell the boy.

"Alright, I'll give you a general gist of things. To get into U.A you'll need a series of exams they are 2 different types being a written exam and a practical exam. Theys is a whole different exam for those recommended but..." looking down at the boy he seemed to understand he won't have a chance at the recommendation.

"Ok, Aizawa-san! when will these exams be held I want to start getting prepared as soon as possible!"

Hearing the energetic boy he also felt happy that he was aspiring to be a hero, although his quirk seems strong it had a strong hatred towards humans which confused him and a little felt that he should ask if he should reconsider his choices.

Jörm who felt the gaze of Aizawa got the clue what he was thinking about and told him, "Jera has other quirks besides me, so don't try to discriminate him just cause my inborn hatred to your species. And besides, I'll still support Jera's decision of helping others. After all, I am his quirk."

Aizawa hearing this was amazed at the confirmation of the boy having other quirks which explained his previous thoughts of his physique, not letting his mind too much he responded to the initial question, "Alright, Jera. The exams are starting Next year in March as the school term starts in April. So you have 10 months to prepare yourself."

Jera, hearing this couldn't help but feel excited for the upcoming 10 months, although he needed no more preparation for his quirks he needed to solidify his commonsense. Living in the mountains for 14 years didn't give him a clue how one should act so he was really excited to hear he had 10 months of exploration.
