73. Women

Years pass again and Zoro has turned 22 this year. A lot of things have happened in the last few years, but he only focuses on his Bounty Hunting job and enjoying his life.

He has a lot of money now because he keeps hunting S-Rank missing nins that have high bounties. Hunting S-Rank missing nins has a very high risk, but it also has a very high reward.

Of course, he doesn't blindly hunt S-Rank missing nins. He avoids those who are too dangerous like Orochimaru till this day. It's not that he's afraid, but Orochimaru doesn't die so easily.

Though he has a guess and he's actually correct. Konoha was using Shisui's Mangekyo Sharingan's ability, Kotoamatsukami to "brainwash" those who want to rebel.

Well, there weren't too many Uchiha clan members who wanted to rebel since Minato chose Fugaku as one of his advisors. Uchiha felt more respected by the village and many members were satisfied.

Though the situation became quite intense when Minato changed the Uchiha Police Force. He changed it into Konoha Police Force, so the members aren't just from Uchiha now.

It changed the villagers' perspective of Uchiha slowly because the Police Force was feared. When it was only composed of Uchiha clan members, the villagers feared Uchiha.

But now other clans are also parts of it, so the fear of Uchiha has subsided. They only fear those who wear Konoha Police Force's uniform. The police still look scary, after all.

Former Root members who are still loyal to Konoha are transferred to the Konoha Police Force while those who only follow Danzo and disloyal to Konoha have been executed.

Uchiha clan is now just another strong clan in Konoha. Many people still don't like them, but their image has become much better now. At the very least, they won't be erased from this world anytime soon.

Though it also changed a lot of things. Shisui doesn't die yet, so Itachi doesn't get his Mangekyo. Itachi doesn't massacre his clan, so he doesn't become a missing nin and doesn't join Akatsuki.

Sasuke has a complete family and no tragic past, so he won't become an asshole kid. He won't hate Itachi, so he won't try to kill his brother and won't get his Mangekyo.

Well, maybe they will get their Mangekyo in the future in ways that Zoro can't predict. But things will surely change and Zoro doesn't know how it will affect the "plot" of this world's story.

It's not just Sasuke's fate that changes, but also Naruto. His parents are still complete even though his mother is a disabled person now. But at least he isn't mistreated in the village even though people still fear him as a Jinchuuriki.

His status as the Hokage's son saved him from people's fear and hatred. Though there isn't much hate for him because there wasn't much damage during the 9 Tailed Fox incident a few years ago, thanks to Zoro's action that sent Kurama away quickly before the village was destroyed even more.

The change in Naruto's life will surely affect a lot of things because in the story, he often makes connections with people through his unfortunate life experience.

But Zoro isn't worried. Naruto and Sasuke are this world's main characters. They will still greatly affect this world even if their lives change. He's sure their fates will still create big effects.

Naruto especially, will somehow manage to use his Talk no Jutsu to somehow make people love him and get on his side even without using his tragic past as a weapon.

Well, even if nothing happens according to the "plot", Zoro doesn't care at all. He'll still just do whatever he wants. If the world is in danger, then he will be the one who steps in.

That's why he always pursues power. Because he wants to be able to do whatever he wants and doesn't want to depend on people too much.

Though now, he is having a rather big dilemma. He has done everything as he pleases without any care for the "plot" and now he is creating another change to the "plot".

Zoro is close with 3 countries, the Land of Iron, the Land of Lightning, and the Land of Fire. Well, for the Land of Lightning and Fire, he is actually close to their hidden villages, Kumogakure and Konohagakure.

Among those 2 villages, he is closer to Kumo than Konoha. He has more friends in Kumo and their villagers are more friendly to him than other places. Only people from the Land of Iron are more friendly to him than Kumo people.

Their friendliness isn't the problem, it's his relationship with some people there. He doesn't think that he has done anything special to anyone, but now he feels like he might have been too close with some people.

He arrived in Kumo 2 days ago and today he planned to meet B in the park. They plan to do some sparring matches because they haven't done it for a long time.

But B doesn't come. Instead, 2 girls are coming. Yugito and Samui come while carrying a big packed meal each. They just sit on Zoro's left and right with the packed meal on their laps.

Both of them don't say anything and just unwrap their packed lunch even after Zoro asks why they're here. He gets even more confused when he senses B and Raikage's presence from afar.

He can feel B's and Raikage's gazes, so they are obviously watching him. But it seems they won't come here and it seems they know what these girls are planning.

"Hey, are you just coming here to eat your lunch boxes? If you're that hungry then we can go to a restaurant so I can eat too. Or do you plan to make me stay hungry by eating beside me while I can't eat anything?"

Suddenly, both Yugito and Samui pick their food with chopsticks before offering them to Zoro.

"Eat!" Both of them say it at the same time.

"H-huh?"

"Eat mine!" Yugito says firmly.

"Mine is better." Samui is just as firm.

Zoro is speechless because he doesn't know what happens and doesn't know what to do in this situation.

"W-wait? Just wha-." Before he can finish what he says, both girls shove their food into Zoro's mouth, forcing him to eat.

He doesn't have any choice but to chew the food and then they ask, "So, whose food is better?"

*Gulp*

"Is this a cooking competition?"

"Just tell us whose food is better." Yugito urges Zoro to answer.

"Uh... Umm, I'm not really sure...." Zoro says it quite nervously.

"Then keep eating until you're sure." Samui says it coldly before shoving another mouthful.

Yugito doesn't want to lose and also shoves her food into Zoro's mouth. The girls keep shoving their food into his mouth without rest. He doesn't even have the chance to chew properly and is forced to gulp their food quickly.

In the end, he is stuffed with food until his stomach bulges and he almost passes out from overeating.

"So whose food is better?" The girls still urge him to answer. They even shake him by the collar, making him feel very dizzy while they keep shouting at him.

Unable to take the pressure, Zoro passes out from the stress and overeating. The girls only stop after that. Then they unreasonably get pissed before dropping Zoro and leave the scene. Women are hard to understand.
