The next day when I woke up, I saw a scroll on top of my bedside table. I didn't remember putting it there myself, and I hadn't. Curious about what it was doing there, I openend it. What a surprise it was.
"Ryota Inuzuka, in hindsight of your services towards Konoha during the past month -those services being the information of possible spies and discovering a possible invation- it has been decided to reward you with a few A and B Rank Suiton Jutsus. We hope that you find them useful in your training and activities as a Shinobi from Konoha.
Signed: Sandaime Hokage, Hiruzen Sarutobi"
"What the FUCK?!"

That same day, after breakfast, I had rushed to the training grounds. Looking around, I couldn't help but think of how long it would take to get new trees, boulders and fixing the state it was in. Of course I could ask Tsume-obasan to get it fixed, but I didn't want to abuse her spot as clan head.
Without thinking too much about it, I began practicing the first Jutsu in the scroll.
"Dog, Horse, Monkey and Ram... this one is B-Rank but it gives me a boost..."
Thinking about this seemingly normal Jutsu, I realized that it actually upped my power by a third. It was the same as my clan's Human Beast Mixture Transformation: Three-Headed Wolf, but instead of using a Shadow Clone, I would be creating a Water one.
"Suiton: Water Beast!"
The first try wasn't a complete failure, but it still was subpar, the beast being half my size. I wanted it to be at least the size of Guremaru as an adult, which I estimated would be close or bigger than Kuromaru. The reason being that no one in the clan knew were Guremaru came from. He just appeared one day in between all of the pups and happened to bond with me.
I kept practicing the Jutsu until the result was to my liking, which took me just a bit short of two hours. With the amount of chakra infused water that was falling to the ground, I was sure it wouldn't take long for more trees to grow.

In the short span of ten hours, I hadn't stopped training. I had learned three new Jutsus in this time and, thinking about it properly, all of them were useful to me. I was extremely surprised when I found notes from the Nidaime Hokage, Tobirama, about two of these jutsus.
The first one was the Water Beast, a jutsus that creates a beast of water. I would use it mostly as diversion or as a water clone to perform my clan's tecniques with Guremaru.
Then I learned the Suishōha or Water Colliding Wave, a weaker version of the Bakusui Shōha or Exploding Water Colliding Wave. This jutsu generated a huge body of water that was meant to sweep anyone from their feet and it also created a perfect environment for Suiton users, since the water remained in place, making it easier to cast Water Jutsus without spending so much chakra. Both of these Jutsus were created by the Nidaime and had a few notes of his insight into them.
The last one was also one of the Nidaime's Jutsus, the Suidanha or Water Severing Wave. This jutsus literally consisted of spitting highly pressurized water. So pressurized in fact, that it could cut through bedrock or, as I had seen in Naruto Shippuden, the roots of the World Tree.
"Phew... I'm beat... besides, there is only one more jutsu left to learn, I can do that tomorrow... at a better place"
The reason why I hadn't tried Bakusui Shōha and this last jutsu was because of their destructiveness. I had a better place to practice them.

The next day, upon waking up, I felt as if I had been reborn. With all of my chakra reserves recovered, I departed towards the place were I wanted to train these two jutsus. Once of them I was sure I could do with ease, but the other one was a bit trickier, even more so with what I wanted to do.
After having a filling breakfast, I went towards the Hokage's Tower. If I got his permission, then I would be able to try what I wanted to do. After having the usual conversation with the receptionist, I was allowed inside.
"Good morning, Ryota-shounen. What brings you here today?"
"Hey there, old man. I wanted to know if there is a training ground I could use? One as big as the Forest of Death and that has no water or vegetation, preferably?"
Hiruzen looked at me ponderingly and then though for a few more minutes about my request. Why I had asked seemed to down on him, since he opened his eyes very wide and in surprise.
"You aready want to try those two Jutsu?"
"Yeah"
"Hmm... behind the Hokage's Heads, a few kilometers away, Training Ground 67. It is a deserted area that was thought to imitate Iwa and Kumo"
Thanking Hiruzen, I quickly departed his Office and headed myself to the place he told me about. On my way, I found a sign that read "Training Ground 67, welcome to the Thousand Fissures Desert.
Loyal to its name, the place was completely desolated, bar the lone and dead tree. The only thing I could see in the distance was a rocky desert full of deep fissures. I moved for a while until I thought I was far enough from any vegetation and began practicing the Jutsus. I was confident in my skill to do them both, but I wanted to modify one of them. It was going to take time and I only had six days left. Hence, I began straight away.
"Tiger, Ox, Monkey, Rabbit, Ram, Boar, Ox, Horse, Monkey, Tiger, Dog, Tiger, Snake, Tiger, Ox, Monkey, Rabbit, Bird"
I began amassing a lot of chakra, more than I had ever spent in a single jutsu and began changing it into water. When I felt that I could no longer hold it, I released all of it together.
"Suiton: Great Waterfall!"
All I saw after that was blue.
