My name is... no. My name WAS Alex. I used to be a normal human who enjoyed to play football. Now... I am still a human, but not normal. Why? Well...
*Flashback*
"Hey Alex! Can you go pick that ball up from the street?"
It was a normal thing, having to leave the field to search for a loose ball. We always did it on a rotation of our jersey's number. That day was my turn to search for the balls, so I left the field quickly and crossed the street with care. When I finally reached the ball, a jackass kicked it to the other side of the road.
"What are you doing dumbass?"
"Huh? You got a problem, cunt?"
This kind of people weren't rare, drunkards who did nothing but search for trouble during the afternoon. As per usual, I just ignored him and turned back to cross the road again. Unluckily, this time I didn't check for cars... nor trucks.
I couldn't help but blame my luck, when a speeding truck that seemed to have lost control came towards me. I had no time to react, scream or even blink -or perhaps I couldn't. Then, all I saw was black.
*End*
When I opened my eyes I was no longer Alex, but Ryota Inuzuka. There was one thing that bothered me about this new identity of mine though. I was sure I was not a regular Inuzuka because of my hair. Why was my hair weird? It was a strong, vibrant maroon colour. I know of only one clan in the entire world of Naturo with that hair colour, and it's the Uzumaki Clan.
"*sigh* How troublesome... Oh, maybe I even have a bit of Nara in me"
Laughing at my own joke, I stopped staring at myself in the mirror. It had been already a few days since I woke up in this new body of mine, so I was more or less adapted to the situation. Doing the usual, I left the bathroom after doing my morning freshening and went to eat breakfast.
"Morning, everyone!"
"Morning sweety, here is your breakfast"
The one who greeted me was my mom, Akemi Inuzuka. She was the sister of the current head of the clan: Tsume Inuzuka. That made me, unfortunately, cousin of Kiba. Why was it unfortunate? You'll see...
"Ryota! Come play with me!"
Kiba was a bundle of energy that kept pestering me to play with him all the time. And me, having been born an hour prior to him, had to treat him like my little brother.
"Ok, Ok, I'll go. Just wait until I'm done eating"
"Yay! I'll be waiting at the park!"

Had I mentioned that when I woke up the first thing I noticed was this flying screen in front of me? When I saw it I knew that I had a "System", one of those things that many people yearn to have so they can succeed in life. Though mine was weird. It didn't have any functionalities besides showing my basic information in the form of stats. But it functioned in a weird way.
The stats were what one would expect: Strength, Agility and Chakra. What was weird was the leveling System. The explanation was that I leveled up when my stats reached a certain objective, shown on the stats numerically. To level up from Level 1 to 2, all my stats had to reach 10. For some reason, which I could only blame on my Uzumaki blood, my Chakra wasn't readable.
"Kiba, don't run too far away!"
Dealing with a child Kiba was annoying, but it was better than dealing with the pre-teen Kiba that thought he was the hottest thing out there. The good thing about playing with Kiba was that I had a shortcut to meet with the main cast. As such, Shikamaru and Choji were already waiting for us there.
"Yo *munch* Kiba, Ryota, why did you guys take so long?" asked Choji as he munched on some chips, something I had already gotten used to in these past few days.
"Ryota took too long eating breakfast! He eats so slowly!" was the answer Kiba came up with. Reality was different, though "What? We took too long because I had to catch someone who was chasing a cat!"
Shikamaru, who hadn't spoken until now, only looked at me with pity before releasing the Nara's catchphrase "What a drag"
That was when I looked at the tree with the only swing in it, and I saw the loneliest kid around town. Naruto Uzumaki, the blond troublemaker of Konoha. I somehow couldn't help but feel pity for him, seeing him sitting on a swing while people looked at him in disgust as they passed by. Hence, I did what any normal person would do.
"Yo, do you wanna play with us?!"
Naruto looked all around searching for the person I was yelling at, until he realized that there was no one besides him in the park. Then he pointed at himself with his index, as if to confirm that I was talking to him. I just gave a big, confident nod. The kid came running towards us like a bullet.
"Are you sure? Everyone hates me!"
"What about it? You're my friend from now on!"
That was how Naruto became friends with all of us, crying of happiness at the thought of having a friend. I just hoped that me being here could actually ease his sadness. I understood what being an orphan was, but I had the luck of being adopted into a nice family in my previous life. But now this was my life, and I would enjoy it.
I knew the dangers that were coming, and I knew that I had to get stronger. But I swore to myself that I would protect the happiness of everyone I cared for. To do that, though, I had to begin training. And fast.
