Under Naruto's persuasion, Nagato and Konan finally found themselves compelled by his reasoning.
Had Naruto merely advocated revenge or feigned a desire to save the Ninja world without genuine intent, Konan and Nagato, being astute individuals, wouldn't have been easily swayed. They, too, held ideals, and helping someone harm the Ninja world was not in their interests.
What ultimately moved the duo were Naruto's parting words.
During Nagato's leadership, Akatsuki adopted an anti-heroic stance. While their goal was to use the power of tailed beasts as a deterrent to prevent war, Obito's deceit became apparent. He manipulated them to collect tailed beasts, aiming to resurrect the Ten-Tails and cast Infinite Tsukuyomi.
Naruto revealed this truth to them, and his words about the necessity of both heroes and villains resonated deeply.
Does the world not require both saviours and adversaries?
In times of imminent destruction, when a common enemy arises, opposing factions can find common ground and understanding. Naruto proposed that they play these roles.
"If people genuinely desire peace in the Ninja world, they won't let this opportunity slip away. If not, then let us incite the fourth Ninja War and teach everyone a harsh lesson.
"Since the Rinnegan exists, with the Technique to rewrite the conclusion, if matters truly reach an irredeemable point, I will assume the role of the real ultimate boss and wreak havoc on more than half of the Ninja World's population."
"Ultimately, Nagato will discard the shadows resurrect all the dead. This way, when people comprehend pain, experience pain, and accept pain, they will grasp the true value of peace, right?"
Naruto nearly burst into laughter at the end. However, this was no time for levity, and his expression remained intensely serious.
He genuinely believed in this approach.
If the events of the fourth Ninja War in the original story were insufficient to convey the value of peace, then perhaps he had to take more drastic measures.
"Let the world feel pain," Naruto declared as he extended his right hand towards Nagato.
Naruto's sudden transformation surprised both Konan and Nagato. As he unleashed the powerful Chakra of Kurama, Nagato instinctively activated Rinnegan, absorbing the four-tailed Kurama Chakra into his own body. In a remarkable display, Nagato's appearance underwent a rejuvenation—his grey hair returned to the vibrant red characteristic of the Uzumaki clan, and his frail body regained vitality.
It became evident that Jinchūriki possessed not only immense power but also the ability to enhance physical health and healing. Naruto, through this method, aimed to restore Nagato's vitality, which had been drained by the Gedo Statue.
Naruto playfully remarked on Nagato's newfound well-being and teased about Konan no longer having to stay alone. Despite her denial of any romantic involvement, Konan couldn't help but feel happiness for Nagato's transformation.
The trio then engaged in lighthearted banter, creating a positive atmosphere.
As the mood lightened, the three of them settled down for a serious discussion. Naruto revealed the two main issues at hand. First, he expressed the need to arrange a meeting with Black Zetsu, emphasizing his intention to continue Madara's will in the absence of Obito. Naruto retrieved a wooden mask and donned it, adopting the code name "Vengeance,"
"Our business will be carried out in secret, including me and Black Zetsu, who will also coordinate and even covertly evaluate your contributions. The Infinite Tsukuyomi plan will proceed."
"Then the second issue that needs attention is attracting more people to join the Akatsuki organization."
"Since we aim to threaten the entire ninja world, naturally, we need a few infamous rogue ninjas, don't we? As for potential candidates, I've already considered some."
Naruto began listing individuals based on his memories. Obito and Black Zetsu had joined Akatsuki long ago, and others like Kisame were recruited during the period when Obito controlled Kirigakure with illusions.
However, Naruto realized that the current Akatsuki organization lacked the power to pose a substantial threat to the Ninja World.
"Itachi, who defected from Konoha Village on the same night as me and annihilated his family. Despite wiping out the Uchiha clan, Itachi did it to protect the village's peace. We can draw him in and use his power to capture the Tailed Beasts."
"Others include Orochimaru, Sasori, Kakuzu, Hidan…"
These individuals were part of the original Akatsuki lineup in the story familiar to Naruto. They had already become rogue ninjas, each known for their cruelty, making them suitable candidates for Akatsuki.
Naruto even remembered Juzo, the loquat swordsman, because Obito sought revenge for Kirigakure's actions during the Bloody Mist era, which had caused immense suffering. The village played a role in the death of Lin Nohara, and Obito sought justice for these actions.
"By the way, make sure to prepare an Akatsuki cloak for me, alright?" Naruto suddenly expressed his fondness for the distinctive Akatsuki cloak. Unconcerned about the so-called "undressing death" rule, he exuded absolute self-confidence.
