Kurama’s Concerns

Late at night, in a grand chamber within the Amegakure, Naruto sat in solitude on the windowsill, gazing out at the perpetual curtain of rain.

Negotiations with Nagato and Konan had concluded, solidifying their cooperation. The next phase involved implementing Naruto's plan and expanding Akatsuki's ranks by winning over its original members.

As preparations for the impending capture of the tailed beasts progressed, Kurama broke his day-long silence, addressing Naruto with a question laden with concern.

"Are you truly going through with this plan? Resurrecting the Ten-Tails sacred tree, employing the Infinite Tsukuyomi, and releasing Ōtsutsuki Kaguya? And do you intend to sacrifice me to the Ten-Tails?" Kurama queried.

Naruto chuckled in response. "Of course not," he reassured. "I've promised you, Kurama, as long as you remain loyal, I'll never betray you. I understand your apprehensions. You fear I may harm the other tailed beasts, am I right?"

Kurama snorted indignantly. "Who's concerned about them?"

"You're quite the actor," Naruto teased, swiftly averting Kurama's potential ire. "Rest assured, Kurama. Even if I were to pursue the Infinite Tsukuyomi, I wouldn't put you at risk. Remember, you still have a connection to my father. Half of you resides within him."

Naruto, as the Jinchūriki of Kurama spoke assuring him of his intentions. He explained that even if Kurama were to consume someone one day, it would only be the empty shell of the Ten Tails, known as the Gedo Statue. This was crucial to the survival of Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, who became one with Ten Tails by consuming the Chakra fruit.

Naruto narrowed his eyes, emphasizing that he had no intention of sacrificing the tail beasts. He promised that after completing Infinite Tsukuyomi, he would ensure the tail beasts, including Kurama, would be pulled out and not subject to Ten Tails' influence.

Reassuring Kurama, Naruto declared, "I don't plan to sacrifice your tail beasts. After completing Infinite Tsukuyomi, I can still pull you out. Don't worry, Sage of Six Paths could do it back then, and I will be able to do it in the future."

Kurama, finding relief in Naruto's words, muttered, "Don't forget your promise."

Naruto assured him, "Don't worry. I plan to completely open the seal and let you really use it for me. You can refine Chakra for me while I fight, and the amount of Chakra you refine tastes good," concluding their conversation with a touch of triumph.

Kurama chuckled humorously and irritably, "Chakra isn't food; it doesn't have a taste!"

Naruto's face darkened, and he grimaced, "Speaking of taste, Konan's cooking leaves much to be desired."

He remembered the dinner he had had with Konan earlier that evening. She had prepared the meal herself, but the taste was less than satisfying.

It seemed Nagato's concerns about her culinary skills were not unfounded.

Konan, the angel and leader of the Amegakure, had chosen the path of a strong woman, but it seemed she had sacrificed her cooking abilities.

"I'm starving," Naruto sighed, feeling a pang of regret.

At that moment, he noticed that he was wearing the classic Akatsuki cloak over his regular black attire. Despite being only eight years old, his height and build made him look much older, closer to fifteen or sixteen.

Konan, who was around one meter and seventy centimeters tall, had prepared the cloak for him, and it fit him perfectly.

Konan didn't mind, though. After all, Naruto was her junior.
