Ch. 2 Uchiha's Shame
Before he was born, Chiba's parents hoped that Chiba could become Konoha's flying leaves, grow with the village, and become part of the village.
As the founding clan and a clan of love, the Uchiha expect peace and prosperity in the village more than anyone else.
The reality is that when the child named Chiba was born blind, excluding him from the pride and glory if the Uchiha clan, the sharingan.
When Chiba was born, he had become an object of ridicule in the clan and the village. The fact that an Uchiha was actually born blind was ridiculous, and the other clans thought so aswell!
The pride of the Uchiha had been tarnished by the mere existence of the a blind baby and Chiba had grown up in this environment. Chiba was the Uchiha's biggest shame, rivaling Madara betraying the leaf.

Leaning on a cane to exploring the way, Chiba reached his destination. He momentarily raised his hands to knock on the door before stopping, as he knew that she was coming.
With a click, the door opened and revealed a girl of similar height as Chiba with short black hair and slightly tanner skin. Her name was Uchiha Koizumi, a girl who was a few months younger than Chiba.
The girl grumbled her small face and looked at Chiba, who was covered in sweat very indignantly
"Brother Chiba, tomorrow is our entrance ceremony. We have already agreed to celebrate this evening, so why are you coming back late covered in dirt!"
Although the girl called Chiba her brother, the two are actually not related by blood. It's just that the girl's father and Chiba's father were friends of many years, and when three years ago, Chiba's parents died, they took him in.
"Have you talking with the little genius of the patriarch's house again?" Chiba also scratched his head in embarrassment.
It was precisely because the ninja school started tomorrow that he said a few more words with Itachi, but came back late.
"After sparing for a bit, we did talk about something." Chiba said, trying to move past the conversation.
"So… who won in the end?" The girl said with a hopefully expression.
"Naturally it's me" Chiba might have sounded arrogant, but it was the truth. If he hadn't lost a single fight in over 2 years, he wouldn't be starting now.
Hearing that, all the dissatisfaction disappeared on Koizumi's face as it bloomed into a smile.
"I knew it!" She said with a chuckle.
"Brother Chiba is the best! I often hear people in the clan claim that the patriarch's son is very powerful, and he is a super genius. It seems that it is nothing more than rumors!" She said while pulling her brother into the house.
"My brother Chiba is better!" Upon hearing this, Chiba sighed slightly. Koizumi was really underestimated Itachi and it annoyed him slightly.
'It's only because of the template system that I can beat Uchiha Itachi. The average man hopped up on meth and bathsalts could probably beat Bruce Lee, its not something to be arrogant or impressed with.'
Chiba was a prideful person, and knowing that the sole reason he was so strong was because of a system did affect Chiba, he wasn't as arrogant as he'd have been if he attained this level of strength naturally.
Not to mention that Itachi was already heaven-defying in the original story, and now because of Chiba's interference, Uchiha Itachi's growth is even more crazy than in the original plot
He had 2 years of sparing experience along with enrolling in the academy a year early. In Chiba's view, the current Uchiha Itachi was even stronger than the average genin.
"Alright, Brother Chiba, come in and have a rest!" Koizumi's said as she pushed her brother into the house,
Chiba nodded, took off his shoes and walked directly to the bathroom. After taking off his dirty clothes and washing the grim off of himself.
As soon as Chiba entered the bath, Koizumi was hot on his heel and jumped in splashing all over the bathroom and onto Chiba's helpless and annoyed face.
"Koizumi, your too old to bath together." Chiba said in annoyance.
"Brother Chiba, you can't see! What if you slip and get injured! I naturally want to take care of you!" His sisterbsaid protectively.
"This is the last time, the next time I'll immediately leave!" Chiba said putting his foot down as the girl start tearing up, but Chiba didn't care.
Koizumi didn't know why Chiba always complained so much about bathing together.
Despite using his cane to get around, Chiba never needed it thanks to his ability and bathing together forced him to turn off this ability to see.
At this moment, a transparent template appeared in Chiba's mind

When the user of the template system reaches a certain percentage, they gain a new ability at the beginner level. Every percentage after that goes into increasing the ability's level untll it reaches the level of the actual character, in which case, they gain the next ability of the template character.
Chiba's eyes were indeed blind, but he didn't need eyes with his observation Haki. At the intermediate level, Chiba could see the aura of people, knowing if they are good or evil and the ability to see the future for 2 seconds.
And that was what Chiba saw. He could still see people's faces and body's but instead of seeing it in the normal flesh color, he saw them in the color of their Aura.
Chiba, while annoyed at his younger sister, deactivated his Observation haki, leaving him truly blind.
