Chapter 66 - Six Months Later.

[Chapter Size: 2100 Words.]

Third Person POV

The Land of Sea.

...

...

In a gatekeeper city, to the west of the Water Country, four ships were arriving at the port, seeming to come from the open sea, while a group of ninjas waited at the dock, appearing to be Kiri's ANBU. The common people watching this said nothing, keeping their distance not wanting to get involved. The ninjas waited for the ships to dock, while some men with swords in hand approached the ninjas with a smile.

"You, we managed to catch the cargo trying to escape to the other continent to the east," the man with some tattoos said to the ninja who was in front of the others.

"Bring the children," the ANBU ninja simply said.

"Yes, but I want my payment. Do you know how hard it was to catch them in the middle of the ocean? I doubt even you ninjas could do that swimming through the water," the man with the sword mocked.

"..." The ninja said nothing but turned his face. "Get the scroll."

"Wait! We can't pull things out like you can, make the money appear, I want the cash!" This man demanded, and the ninja nodded before summoning a bag of gold from the scroll and throwing it to the man, while more men like him came out of the ships.

"This is great, bring the hostages, guys!" The man shouted, and from the middle ship, which was different from the others, looking more commercial, a group of children started to come out.

The children looked scared, while those who cried were beaten by the men with the handles of their weapons. "Move along, you brats. Do you want to end up like the adults?" One of the men said before hitting a child's head.

"You are all here," the one in front of the ninja spoke again, "We had some trouble, but it all went well. We killed all the adults, so I hope you don't mind that." He laughed while the ninja remained silent, saying nothing.

"You ninjas are so dull, just emotionless assassins, that's why I prefer being a pirate!" This man mocked, and the ninja didn't care.

"Pirate?" A quiet voice sounded from afar, watching the pirates handing the children to the Kiri ninjas.

"Hm?" Akame looked at Naruto, who seemed thoughtful seeing those men. "So that's a pirate in this world... well, not different from what I remember, but much weaker." Naruto murmured while his companions were confused, with Naruto seeing the first group calling themselves pirates in this world.

"Forget that, it seems the information was correct," Naruto said again, while he kept his distance observing the port. They came to investigate information about a batch of children who managed to flee the country to another continent, who were caught by mercenaries at sea and were back to be eliminated.

"What will we do?" Kimimaro asked.

"We have no reason to waste time, let's just eliminate them," Naruto said, after all, there was no reason for him to hold back here, and they started to walk along with the other two who accompanied him.

Meanwhile, the children were in despair, trying not to approach those ninjas, knowing it would be their end. They were finally leaving the place where they were hunted, either orphans or some with their parents, by a fisherman who didn't want to see them die and did it clandestinely. But they were approached at sea and saw all the adults die in front of them, with some witnessing the death of their own parents. They even tried to fight back, but many died for that because of these cruel pirates.

In the following days, it was a real hell for them to sail again to this country in a boat full of corpses. Now they were here, being taken to death, after all, for one of these children, he still remembered very well the night his clan was destroyed.

He was from the Dokugiri Clan (OC), a clan that manipulates mist, but unlike the common mist, they can create poisonous and even acidic mists. This boy was called Iryn Dokugiri, who was in his clan when the purge began, when one of the seven swordsmen of the mist arrived and called a meeting among the leaders, and without warning, started to kill everyone, saying it was an order from the Mizukage to eliminate them all.

Besides that, ANBU ninjas with masks also appeared and began to eliminate the people who were fleeing while the swordsman killed the clan ninjas. He found himself surrounded with his parents, and in a moment, they sacrificed themselves so he could escape. Those same masked ninjas were now in front of him, making his blood boil. He only survived because he found some more clan members fleeing in carriages through the country. After years of hiding, they found a passage to another continent, leading to this place now.

Despite the internal rage at seeing that man waiting for him, he was also afraid. In the end, he would face death after all these years of fleeing, starving, and being beaten, without even being able to use his unique chakra ability. But just as he was about to be handed over to those ninjas, someone appeared with a white flash, standing between him and the ninja. Iryn watched, stunned, as time seemed to slow down, the cloak with the inscription "Justice" swaying slowly.

Both the pirate pushing the children and the ninja in front of the other ANBU moved, surprised. Slowly, in the next moment, Iryn saw that mysterious man move his hand so quickly that a sword emerged from it. He watched as the man spun, his blond hair flying at high speed, and in the next moment, both the pirate and the nearest ANBU had lost their heads.

"Enemy attack!!" The ninjas quickly jumped back, looking at Naruto in surprise.

"Bone Graveyard!" A voice emerged as Kimimaro appeared, placing both hands on the ground before bones emerged, impaling those ninjas in the next moment, with only a few managing to escape alive, while the others were killed in the following instant.

"Damn!! There are more of them!!" The surviving ninjas jumped into the air, but a shadow appeared behind them, as kunai struck them, with Akame defeating some of them.

"Yes, ninjas!" The pirates exclaimed now with their captain dead, but as a force of water hit them, Hatori used a jutsu, exploding the pirates along with their ships.

Naruto looked at the area where at least three ninjas survived Kimimaro and Akame, now trapped inside a soap bubble made by Utakata.

"This is good," Naruto said, turning to the children. There were at least 15 of them, all looking around scared, while one in particular stared at Naruto with intense eyes.

"Well, you will be taken to a safe place, but it won't be a very comfortable journey..." Naruto said, looking at Akame, who nodded. She jumped next to Naruto, scaring some children before looking at them with her Sharingan, putting them all to sleep in the next moment.

"Put them in the scrolls and let's take them to the hideout, same for the ninjas; they can be interrogated by the rebel forces for information," Naruto said, and Utakata did so after Akame used her Sharingan on them.

After all the mess and bloodshed, with the children inside the scroll, Naruto returned to everyone. "Let's go." He requested, and they nodded, leaving the city while the citizens could only watch them depart.

The journey to the hideout took only one day as the place was nearby, and Naruto confirmed they were not being followed. They continued until they saw the misty mountains.

They passed by the sentinels, who already knew them, and entered the rebel camp, with Mei already waiting at the edge of the camp as soon as she knew they were back.

"Mei." Naruto appeared in front of her.

"You don't look like you've been in a fight. Was it false information?" She asked, looking at Naruto and the others behind him, perfectly fine.

"The information was correct," Naruto looked at her with a neutral gaze. "Akame, give her the scroll. There are 15 children and 3 Kiri ANBU ninjas in there. It was an easy task to deal with some unprepared ninjas and common pirates..." Naruto said as Mei looked satisfied with the two scrolls they brought.

"I'm going to my tent. I stayed in that city for three days, so I'm going to rest a bit and hope my team does the same." Naruto said, passing by Mei without caring about his status, and Mei said nothing as well.

"Besides that..." Naruto paused, "There might be some Kiri ninjas in the region over the next few days, so be careful with your troops." Naruto said and began to withdraw, with the other four members following him to the corner of the camp where they had been established for the last few months.

It had been six months since the day Naruto had decided to join the rebel group against the Mizukage. His team itself was special; after all, he did missions that none of the other rebels did. He ended up invading enemy camps, rescuing hostages, saving people fleeing the purge, and even getting involved in incidents that people still talk about today.

Naruto was a complete stranger and a not very welcome person to most of the camp, but his contributions with his team, who walked without masks at this moment, leaving the intensity of mercenaries to assume their name they wanted for the first time.

As he walked through the camp, people looked at him, noticing his group while whispering, but there was no longer the disdain from the beginning as they greeted him with nods.

"He's back..."

"Did he bring more survivors...?"

"What did he go to do now..."

"I still remember what happened three months ago... did he do it again?"

"Who knows... but it's good that he's fighting for us... our camp has grown a lot since he started bringing people from outside."

People kept gossiping around, and even from a distance, Naruto heard everything with his Haki. Naruto continued to maintain a neutral face as he approached his tent until he saw a little girl standing with a flower in her hands and he opened a small smile.

She looked at the tent, standing still, until she stepped back, her eyes widening as she saw Naruto approaching with the group. "Naruto!" She exclaimed and ran to meet him.

"Hello, Lola," Naruto said as the girl approached, and he squatted down, maintaining the same smile.

"You came back! I've been waiting. I found this flower in the forest while picking fruits with the other children." She began cheerfully. She was an 8-year-old girl, a bit chubby, but with an easy and joyful smile, despite all the misfortune she had gone through since she was 5 years old. "Look at it! I've kept it for days, waiting for you to arrive to give it to you!" She exclaimed.

"A flower? What's special about it?" Naruto asked, curious.

"Can't you see?! It's white and pure!" She began, jumping joyfully. "It's like your cloak. I call it the flower of justice!" She said, offering the flower to Naruto as some people, including Naruto's team behind him, watched the scene.

"The flower of justice... it's a good name..." Naruto said with the same smile, taking the flower. He patted her head. "I want you to take care of it. How about never letting it die?" Naruto said, and the girl saw him placing the flower back in her hand.

"I..." She looked at the flower and then at Naruto, nodding firmly. "I'll take care of it, just like your justice, it will never die!" She exclaimed.

"That's good. Now I'm going to rest a bit with the others. How about coming later to hear new stories? Don't forget to tell the others." Naruto said.

"YES!!" The girl nodded and started running, laughing while holding the flower.

Naruto watched the girl running until she disappeared among the camp tents and returned to his companions. "Well, rest a bit. Tonight will be quite intense." Naruto said and went to his tent to sleep for a while.
