Chapter 7

I was excited as I got ready. I had the perfect dress for this. I made a white ball gown that had a sweetheart neckline. The top layer was made out of a fabric that glowed a brilliant white. I wore a necklace that was adorned with diamonds and opals, opal tear drop earrings, but I was instructed to not put on a tiara and that Jasper had one for me to use. I put my hair in a neat bun on top of my head so that I can wear any tiara design out there.

After I let Milly finish my makeup, I stood up and looked in the mirror. My dark brown hair looked black in the hair do. My creamy white skin was emphasized by the white dress. My silvery blue eyes looked to be a shade darker making them a steel blue. Milly added a matte red lipstick making me look stunning. I put on some plain stacked silver rings on a few fingers on each hand while I stared back at the woman in the mirror. Milly handed me my lucky bracelet which was a long sword that wrapped around my arm from my elbow to my wrist. Jake gave it to me when I started training with him.

A knock on my door startled me out of my thoughts. I nodded to Milly to open the door for Jasper. He walked in with his hands behind his back. He wore an all black outfit with a silver crown on top of his head. His black hair was cut short on the sides and long on top but it was combed back to match his attire. I watched as his brilliant blue eyes traveled the length of my body.

He walked over to me as he asked, "Are you ready?"

"Just have to put on my shoes." I said as Milly set them on the floor in front of me. I picked up the front of my dress in one hand and used Jasper to balance with the other as I put on my shoes. I grew six inches with them on making me eye level with his chin.

"Hahaha. Are you ready to see your surprise?" he asked me.

I shook my head yes as I was excited to see the tiara. He pulled a white wood box from behind his back. I looked on in excitement as he opened it. Inside was an all diamond crown. It wrapped around the head fully and was three inches tall and lifted up an inch every few inches into points. I gasped at how beautiful the crown was. It was a crown meant for a queen, not a tiara for a princess like I was expecting.

"That is a crown." I stated in shock.

"Yep." he replied as he lifted it out of the box and set the box on the bead.

"For a queen." I replied still equally as shocked.

"You are correct." he stated in amusement as he directed me towards my giant mirror.

"And I am going to be wearing it tonight." I mumbled as he put it on my head.

"Yes you are." he said as he slightly turned it to fit better.

"But I am not a queen." I stated as the shock started to wear off.

"If I had it my way, you would be one." I thought I heard him mumble but I wasn't sure as I thought I was hearing things. "Now we do not have anymore time to waste. May I?" he asked as he held out his arm for me to take.

I took his arm and walked out of my room. I stopped over thinking the crown as I started walking down the empty halls to the festival announcer outside. As I walked alongside Jasper, I started to gain confidence in my appearance and myself. I for once actually liked it when people bowed to us as we entered the entrance hall where everyone milled about as they arrived, waiting to be announced. Seeing them bow down to us made me feel powerful for once. I could see Jasper smirking as I looked to the side at everyone. Seeing him slightly smile made me smile a brilliant smile.
