Chapter 13 – New Family Member

Main Character's POV

After five months, I'm finally close to my birthday. I am so excited because my parents are making me a wand. Not only that, but I've also been convincing them to find some magic in wood or create some magical spells since it will be easier due to our affinity. Our local terrorist group has been active since July, and there's another news that people mistake me for someone else—a girl from the famous Dumbledore family. Due to her mysterious birth, people believe it's her. Although I feel bad for her, she is supposed to be the granddaughter of the strongest white wizard, so I think she is safe. This also gives our family some breathing space.

Finally, I have achieved 10 points in the ninja section. I can finally use that 10-point rare lottery.

My family used their school house head for help with wood magic and got some books on wand making. I am surprised they trust her with this, but considering the story they told about their school time, I think it will be fine. Now, I am waiting for my birthday to get my Pokémon—I mean, my magic beast partner.

General POV

In these five months, Ethan and Lydia have been trying their best to learn about spell creation, wand making, and exploring their new abilities. They are constantly seen tinkering with wand cores and woods.

Ethan: "I think this one turned out fine."

Lydia: "You said the same thing about the last one before it blasted."

Ethan: "Don't worry. I have a feeling this one will be fine. The last one had a bit of a powerful magic animal core. This one has Bowtruckle leaf as a core with rowan wood as the wand. Let's try it."

As both of them were expecting a blast, surprisingly, nothing happened. Seeing this, the couple started more experiments before putting the wand away.

Lydia: "Finally, some success."

Ethan: "Although it's not perfect, it will do. I just have to make some adjustments and increase its efficiency and control before we can give it to Ash."

Lydia: "We have to make it perfect before Ash's birthday."

Ethan: "Don't worry. It will be done. What about the spell creation? Did you get any hints?"

Lydia: "I got some results. I believe it will be done in a few months."

Main Character's POV

Finally, today is the day of my birthday. I will get my wand and summon my partner. Now, my parents are busy with the preparations. We are not going to invite others; it is just going to be the three of us, but that's what I want.

General POV

At Ash's third birthday, the family of three decorated the house with magical lights and enchanted streamers that changed colors. The room was filled with warmth and joy, reflecting the love and care of his parents. Ethan and Lydia's faces glowed with excitement and a hint of nervousness as they prepared for the celebration.

Ash's parents started giving gifts, and Ash opened them with excitement, even though he knew what was inside. After unwrapping the gift, he got the wand made by his parents. The wand was beautifully crafted, with intricate carvings and a shimmering core visible through the translucent wood.

He was so excited and asked his parents for permission to use it, but they said he could learn that from them later. After that, they started eating the food made by Lydia using magic. The table was filled with delicious dishes, each more appetizing than the last, with magical sparkles dancing above them.

Ash was waiting for the perfect time to summon his pet, and after some wait, the time came. His parents started to thank nature for everything, and using this moment, he used the ticket.

Suddenly, a ball of flame appeared before Ash and moved towards him. His parents were confused and shocked at its appearance, and Ash was in shock about the points he obtained. His father, being a magic zoologist, showed interest in the little guy that suddenly appeared. He recognized it as a phoenix, but this one looked a bit different. It looked more majestic and fluffy at first glance.

Its feathers were a dazzling mix of gold and crimson, with flames flickering at the tips. His eyes were a deep, mesmerizing blue, exuding wisdom and warmth. The room seemed to glow brighter with Blaze's presence, and an aura of serenity spread around them.

Main Character's POV

Now, that was a hell of a lot of points for the summon. I had not expected to summon a phoenix, much less its progenitor. I think this little guy has made a connection with me. I can feel it. It's like he and I can understand each other on another level. It's weird, but it's a close feeling, as if we have unreserved trust with each other. My parents brought me out of my imaginations, and I began to make random nonsense that it's a gift and all that. Even though they still don't completely believe it, they are not opposed to it. My father might be more interested in him than me. I know he's a magic zoologist, but come on, it's my partner, and he's not leaving him at all. After a few minutes of complaining, we all settled down. Now, we all started to think of names. My parents let me decide the name as it was supposedly my gift from nature. I looked into his eyes, which were pure. His body is like a ball of fire, and suddenly a name struck me—"Blaze." I somehow remembered my childhood show "Inazuma Eleven." There was a character, my favorite, who shot a flaming ball. His name was "Axel Blaze." After looking at the phoenix again, I think this is the most suitable name. I told my parents my choice, and they agreed. So, our family got a new member, Blaze.
