Fares had finished cultivating when the first lights of dawn had started to appear in the night sky.
The sun began to dye the black sky orange then yellow before stopping at blue. Fares watched the sunrise at the top of the tree with longing.
He remembered the old days when he would take his sister and climb the roof of his house to watch the sunrise, while everyone else was in deep sleep.
Fares did not let his mind wander too much, and he stood up, slapping his face to stop himself. He knew what the outcome would be if he had kept this train of thoughts.
Today he would hunt for a while before returning to Zena and Mona since they have not heard from him for a few days now. He was afraid that that hot-headed girl would come searching for him, even though she hunted all the time by herself, he would not feel right if he let her come close to danger because of him.
